So yesterday, I was at a friends, and he brought up E3.
Friend: So what was your favorite part of it?
Me: Seeing Goldeneye, I'll finally get to play it on the wii!
Friend: It's gonna suck.
Me: Why?
Friend: The graphics suck, and it's on the wii.
Me: So?
Friend: To me, graphics are the most important part of a game, and the Wii probably couldn't even run Halo 3!

Your stupid reasons?

Okay, your friend needs to get a life. No offense, but that is just messed up. Everyone knows that gameplay is the most important part of a game. Graphics just let you make out what the hell is going on.

And just because a game is on the Wii doesn't mean it automatically sucks. That's fanboyism to think so.

Carry that back to your friend, would you kindly.

Oh no! Are those some form of color out of the grey-to-black spectrum!? My eyes! The bright, enjoyable, easy to interpret graphics, characters, and enemies burn my eyes! Please, no more! NO! NOT THE SECONDARY COLORS, TOO!!!

As well as: No multiplayer, no game. I need to own some noobs on *Random Map Name* before I can deal with any plot!

Also: It's not hardcore! No one has a beard, there aren't any shooting weapons, and there aren't any eff'd up looking face-hugger things! Where's my gore, man!?

And last but not least: No way am I buying this piece of crap, no good, bag-of-ass game! It doesn't have the full amount of pixels on the screen to give me the best graphics! I NEED those three pixels! I NEED those graphics! I haven't even played the game and I already know it sucks!

I know, but she does it for EVERYTHING, it's so frustrating. And she doesn't even bother to try and get better at it. And I mean, she's pretty bad at games and when theres a perfectly good game she just brushes it off and moves on, its like a cycle.

whoo. let 'em off easy huh? not killing a person that distracts you from hitting the kill screen in pac-man is a mitzvah I believe. Good for you! (No, I'm not Jewish, but I love the word and concept of mitzvah!)

Goldeneye will suck for different reasons.

Designated melee button instead of slappers only!!!
The proximity mines will probably no longer be invisible, where's the fun in that?
Regenerating health instead of the red and blue bara on screen!
Probably will have a different james bond model
Online play will mean that there will always be the fucker who choses the Caves map since it'll probably be random vote

But on topic, people hating japanese games because they're weeaboo bullshit. Now I'm not a huge JRPG fan but you never know if a game is good until you play it for hours.

I have to disagree with you on this one, or at least offer a slightly modified version.

You see, I don't play sport games/racing games/fighting games/Real time strategy. One might say they are "Outside of my comfort zone." But in all fairness, I don't plat these games simply because the objective doesn't appeal to me. For example, sport games: Heck, I don't even like real sports! Or racing? Feels boring to me.

However, some people refuse to play a certain genre of game just because. I at least have given all genre's a chance. Well.. except for Rapelay.

I agree in that i dont like IRL racing/sports so why would i play the games, but i've tried thema and simply dont like them, but i've never been a platformer/sidescrolling adventure but i recently got Little Big Planet and i love it (im 16)
What i really meant to say that just because you go outside of your comfort zone it doesn't mean you'll enjoy it, but there are tonnes of amazing racing/sports games and i simply dont want to play them because i don't like the genre, not like some of my friends who simply say "No its shit, X genre is for fags"

Wow...just...wow. Those people should be smacked. LOTS of great games came out before the 360, are not shooters, don't have a lot of Blood/Violence/Tits, and don't get me started on Infinity Ward. (Other than CODMW2, what else have they made?)

Also, baby oil works rather well. I'm sure you're wondering how I know. Well, imagine this. Redneck wedding. You've got the altar set up in the yard...now look to the right and imagine a large inflatable waterslide less than 50 feet away from where the altar is. Now, add drunk redneck guys jumping down it after spraying bottles of baby oil over it. I was told it was fun but refused to try because they were somersaulting, flipping, etc all at the same time and I'm not a big fan of getting hit by other half naked men while we're all covered in baby oil. Yeah...not my idea of fun.

Hey brown is realistic....at least I think it is at a time of war.

I always thought of it as a way for the game to project how unbelievably shit it is for a top shelf game. Not to mention the mind numbing boredom and unceasing fugliness.

so can you think of any "brown" shaded games besides COD, because I think that's the only one I've seen and MW 2 didn't seem very brownish.
Ever notice how complaining about cell shaded graphic style makes you an "idiot" but complaining about brown shaded graphic styles makes you "intellectual"?
And what's the deal with airplane bathrooms? Why do they need a mirror in there? Are people actually brushing their teeth in there?

It happens every day, some random, fairly normal guy going around stealing people's cars, shaking off police helicopters and killing random pedestrians with a variety of weapons ranging from practically hand-made to practically military grade... OT: errm... mine is usually that I don't know enough about the game. Let me just explain, while I wouldn't say I'm 'in-the-know' about releases, I do tend to know about most releases but not all. This is why I didn't play Metro 2033 as soon as it came out, instead of after I had finished Fallout 3 for the twentieth time and wanted another post-apocalyptic FPS to play for ages.

I had a roommate that said fighting games that weren't UFC were bad because they weren't realistic. Then he'd turn around and glorify Nazi Zombies on Call of Duty.

Also according to him Valkyria Chronicles has terrible graphics.
