From their Twitter:

LulzSec The Lulz Boat
Ryan Cleary is not part of LulzSec; we house one of our many legitimate chatrooms on his IRC server, but that's it. youtube.com/watch?v=Jf7iBS?
Source: http://twitter.com/#!/lulzsec

Don't get moist over nothing.
Yeah, because they'd admit defeat like that.

I'm not saying he's definitely a part of L/S, but that's nothing like 'proof'.
I dunno, I don't see why they'd lie about that, but regardless of whether he's affiliated with them he's still going to get shitfucked.

Should have gotten behind 7 proxies etc.
Why would they lie about that? To keep their reputation? When all but one of their members have been hunted down the last guy is going to be insisting that nothing is wrong on their twitter page. Unless someone hacks it which would be some hilarious poetic justice.

An agoraphobic? What a master of terror he must be. Proof Lulsex is a bunch of wimps who hide behind a computer to do things they'd be scared to in real life.
>Agorophobics are just wimps

Well that's just mean...

So what, he should walk up to people and punch them or something? Prove he's a big manly man and accomplish much less?

How exactly do you hack someone in real life?
My point is, they aren't the lords of evil they want to look like. Thier bark is nothing but bark while their bite is just cowerdly internet attacks.
>Cowardly internet attacks
>Stealing your credit cards

To be honest I'd rather someone just punched me.

Why is everyone forgetting they hacked Microsoft too? Just saying.
But yeah, of course he's agoraphobic, living up to the hacker stereotype I guess.

With a cleaver?
I guess you're right.

Then we definitely shouldn't encourage them to take their act offline.
I guess "please don't be a hacking dick" is too much to ask? Funny how other people don't seem to have a problem inhibiting their "hacking" impulses, on or off-line. So what makes these smacktards so special.

(Special,special,see what I did there? Agoraphobic? ... eh,forget it )

I like lulzsec, they remind me of the old internet before it got flooded by people with social skills and morals.

I don't think that guy is guilty of anything, the govmn'ts can't do anything so they need a scapegoat to make it seem like they are fighting back.

What's that? Someone in Britain has committed a crime on the internet? Extradite them immediately!

Seriously America, leave us alone. We can deal with our own criminals.
I suspect we believe our penalties are higher and that our interest where more impacted than British.
Maybe American penalties are harsher and maybe your government does believe that. Unfortunately, he is a British citizen, he committed a crime in Britain and as such should be tried in Britain.

The US government is not a global law-enforcement agency no matter how much they might want to be. This man has a right to be tried in his home country.
We may not be but we do however have Extradition treaties with the U.K and most of European country's so we have every right to get involved with someone who intends to commit a crime against us.

You should put up those sarcasm tags buddy lest you get called out for trolling.

Except they'd only be against crimes committed against England and only England, the United states only wants to try him for the crimes against the united states.

He can't even go out of his house? Take him across seas and throw him in jail. My God... that is so fitting that I am at a loss for words.

How did they find him? Did that blog dedicated to tracking down LulzSec members find him? Do they know what operations he was part of? What's his expected jail sentence? What's your source?

TOO MANY QUESTIONS! From what you've presented, I guess this is encouraging, maybe they'll take down LulzSec and AntiSec after all.

EDIT: Here's a source.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2011/jun/21/hackers-lulzsec-arrest-essex-census

It appears that he wasn't even part of the PSN scandal, it looks like he's being arrested for the DDoS wave.

That'll teach him to attack the Escapist =D

Am I the only person in the UK who want this guy extradited to America?

Think of the plus sides... Longer sentence most likely, rougher jails, British person will not function well in a federal prison and the biggest upside of them all... We don't pay to keep him, american tax payers do!

I thought that lulzec had accepted donations in U.S. currency, so wouuldn't that mean they were centered in the U.S.? Maybe this guy (if this story is true) is just one of there partners in crime.
Just because they accept donations in US currency doesn't mean they are based in the US. Don't forget, even though it's not as strong as it used to be, a lot of things are tied to the dollar.
I suppose, and it would be funny if these guys ended up being mongolian or something.
<youtube=C79yaBE0NXs&feature=player_detailpage#t=4s>

lulzsec = mongolian
sony = chinese

(I like PS3, but doesn't mean I can't be cruel)

Just watched the BBC news at 10, apparently US and British agencies have found one of the key Lulzsec hackers, a 19 year old agoraphobic, in Essex. He and another teenager are currently trying to fight extradition to the States for trial action.

I don't want to wear out on the who hacking scandal, but what are your feelings on this? Particularly if you are a PS3 owner like me?
Got a news link?

OT: I bet you 50$ bucks he will rat out as many people as possible to avoid getting in trouble.
let us pray this happens so these little shits can be found
