No offense to John Simm, but I'm not him. If I must be the Master, I'm this guy...

I was more a fan of Anthony Ainley but I loved Delgado as well. Simm's character just never did anything for me, I thought he was way too wacky, and came on too strong. In the past the Master had a certain flamboyance but he also understood subtlety and patience far better than the new off-the-walls Master ever did.

I wouldn't say it was inappropriate for the character to have such a different personality, but I certainly found him bland an uninteresting.
