I got Pony-Lover and Grouper, and since I almost never multiplay (and didn't pick a single answer to imply I did) I'm gonna call shenanigans.

I like the cute though.

Maybe since I got both I like a big group of cute?

Makes sense.

EDIT: Now that I'm reading every other comment it is weird that above my picture it actually said: The Grouper & The Tactician, in one go.However everybody else got only one stereotype... odd.
I got 2 at once as well.

Y'know there is a surprising lack of RPG questions in that quiz : /

Grouper éh? hmmm I dunno it doesn't fit my gaming style tbh, I like rpg's where I get to pimp out 1 character better then when I have to do it with multiple.

Totally agreed here. I notice one particular thing. There seemed to be no reference to RPGs anywhere in the quiz and it was very FPS and RTS-heavy. I'm an RPG fan, and let me tell you, the vast majority of RPGs, even JRPGs, are not "cute and cuddly". I get it, I don't like playing FPS's, but don't imply that I most enjoy "childish" games because of it.
What would be the equivalent?

"Trigger Lover
If you can smell the cordite, you'll play it. And most likely riddle it with rapid fire death!"

Or,

"The Projector
Gruff and manly is the name of the game. A hero is a man of few words - words that burn like the flesh of the guilty!"

Or,

"The Compensator
A headshot might not get you a job or the love of a woman, but you'll act like it does, and anybody that can't best you, may as well eat a bullet."
Well, I was pointing out what many others have articulated much better than I: that for a lot of us, none of the answers available for several questions fit us as gamers, and there was no "none of the above" option. Through my post I was trying to go into more detail to point that out in my specific case. I am sorry if you thought I was being hostile. It's just that when you don't like FPS at all, and when asked "Which do you like best?" and are given 4 FPS and Katamari Damacy, which one are you going to pick? I ended up picking Katamari and the Braid guy because none of the choices fit me and they seemed to be the closest I could get, which was still a long way off. Hell, with the Braid guy's question, I had never even played any of the games listed. I prefer games in the classical fantasy setting or perhaps steampunk, I like story-based games, and I like single-player RPGs. Very few, if any, of the questions had anything at all to do with those options. Also, I'm not a PC gamer, and it seemed this quiz was also mainly geared towards PC gaming. I don't have a PC that can run games well, so I can't mod or anything like that. Apparently this quiz was not meant for gamers like me.
NO NO NO! I didn't think you were being hostile at all. No worries mate! I think we have similar gaming habits, and both thought that quiz needed a lot more balance. My comments were in reference to how 'cute and cuddly' is now a sign of being a 'lame gamer' and not 'hardcore'. Apparently, reveling in the icons of gaming history is a sign of softcore'edness. The three options I made up reflected my disappointment with that.

On topic: I said I was most like Tim from Braid cause he seems the most human, or an actual human
I voted him because I am *definitely* not any of the other 4. Process of elimination.
Same here, the next thing to human would be Mario, I'm pretty sure when I touch a leaf or a feather I don't grow a tail to fly or a cape

I got the tinker. This kinda dissapoints me, because although it is true (any game I can modify willbe modified) it doesn't really say how I play my games.

This quiz sucks monkey balls.

About 90% of the questions didn't have answers that I would like to take.
I also gotta agree with this.

The Simulant
More real than real.

I guess that is me? I don't actually like realistic games, outside of racing of course.

I'm an explorer, apparently. It's true to an extent.
One of the questions was just mean though- it asked me to choose between Civ 4 and RDR! That was an agonizing decision.

The fact that you can't take a very light-hearted forum quizz for what it is does make you sound pretentious though.
I was just bothered because I also wanted light-hearted and fun result what every other result seemed to be, that's all. I wanted ponies, not a big snide image with a big snide flavour text and a big snide badge on my Escapist profile saying I'm Pretentious :(
Well, take it again then! You can take it as many times as you want!

I found this to be a bit weird. I do like multiplayer, playing with my friends is the best part of a game, but I hate Xbox Live and I'm not a fan of MMOs. Still those are the only forms of multiplayer that are available to me, so maybe another multiplayer system would suit me. :p

I got the explorer badge even though my least favorite type of game design is the sandbox structure and I place a lot of importance on the story. How inaccurate.

The first time I took it, I got the tactician. The second time, I got the grouper. Seems like both of them were based on one or two answers. They're both partially accurate: I'm not the best at strategy games, but I enjoy the Civilization series; and then there's the way I treat First Person Shooters when they have intelligent A.I.. In F.E.A.R., for example, I wind up going all out strategy on large groups of mooks, flanking them and using cover. The main thing I agree with it on is the fact that I treat games like a cerebral challenge. It's the closest option I've seen to "I'm in it for the gameplay." Story and atmosphere are nice, and can make a good game great or an average game good, but they aren't going to make a bad game decent. As for the grouper, I like multiplayer, but I spend a lot of time in singleplayer as well. It's also a rare multiplayer game that really grabs me, especially with the trend away from arena style shooters and into semi-realistic ones that we've been stuck in for the last few years. However, if a multiplayer mode really grabs me, it's where I'll be spending most of my gaming time -- usually after I've finished or otherwise gotten bored of the single player mode.

Apparently I'm... THE PONY-LOVER!

"If it's bright, colorful, and happy, you want to play it. And maybe give it a hug."

I'd say that's a bit narrow. Not all my favorite games are bright and rainbow colored.

The Dead-Eye

You want to shoot things. Zombies, Nazis, targets, aliens ... makes no difference to you, so long as you get to fire a weapon.
That's what I got.

OH YEAAAAA!....

I got Deadeye and Explorer. I'm a little bit of an explorer, but I'm not a Deadeye. I'm a story person. This quiz sucks.

Got the explorer. I'd agree with that for sandbox games, I know that about 5/6th of my time on Fallout 3 was spent wondering the place looking for something new (enemy, location, NPC...). However, I'm thinking I'm much more of a story lover when it's avaliable, so surprised I didn't get that.
