It makes sense, I've read before that Ueda is said to be an extreme perfectionist among his peers. Developing Shadow of the Collosus was a bit difficult because of that, supposedly.
This really makes me think more highly of him as it shows that he's always looking to improve and looks at every detail he can in his games. To an extent it is like Molyneux, you can't really hate him because gosh darnit he just wants to make a good game. But unlike Molyneux, Ueda doesn't make promises after promises of what his game will deliver
Whether or not you enjoyed Team ICO's previous games, I don't think anyone can really deny that their games are much more subtle than most action-fests are. I hope that he won't try too hard to appeal to the broadest demographic, and this game does fail then it's really not going to look good on the industry.
