well, the "tournament of fighting" is a tried and true movie idea, so Tekken really couldn't be that bad, but then again, there was the street fighter movie.

Well it gets the basic plot of a Tekken game down: revenge, tournament, some supernatural stuff (most likely). Hopefully it won't be too bad. But I'm not going to get too excited.
Well, it at leas looks more close to a fighting game than the anime Tekken movie, though I'm probably one of the twelve people who've actually seen that.

well it's a movie based off of a fighting video game so it's gonna be crap... but Uwe Boll didn't get his grimy little hands on it so there is a small chance it won't be complete suckage but it will be no Enter the Dragon as far as martial arts movies go and defiantly no Ong Bak...

Honestly I dont see what about this is bad, really. The characters look decently like they should, and if they use the correct fighting styles, i'll be really happy. Thats most of the appeal of tekken anyway, seeing all the fighting styles meshing.
To be honest, focusing on the tournement and not on the silly corporation stuff will likely make it better. And the eddy gordo fight looks like it'll be a winner.

Just from the trailer, I can tell that the writing will blow, but it looks like it will be an at least competent fighting movie.
Not holding out much hope for this being anything other than average or bad. I'll go and see, if only because I'm interested in the concept.

1) Jin with love intrest = Poo poo. A reason I liked Jin is because he doesn't crave the wimmins or the mans at all, he basically just hates anything.

2)It is atucally a tournament of fighting. (Unlike some Street Fighter films.)
