Off hand, this looks like the first real loser Telltale has had in a while.
I like some of the cast; maybe they'll pull something off that isn't explicit in the rather charmless trailer or the hackneyed (intentionally?) premise. But as it stands, it looks like they took most of what people liked about Minecraft- the world that was yours to shape and define as you saw fit- filed it down to the nubbins to fit into Telltale's usual semi-linear narrative structure, and expected Minecraft loyalists to pick it up anyway because "Hey, this thing is like that thing in that game you like!"
Go on and pull off a miracle, Telltale, but I'm not putting money on you doing so.
