Nope. Still don't get it. It's like someone shoved a monkey in my mouth and told me I had to shoot it out my butt.

A Mod Note

These puzzles involve leaps of logic and not spelling things out. If you feel you need to drop a hint, don't drop a hint about the game itself. USE SPOILER TAGS IE
INFO
And remember kids, if you think your clue is obvious, don't post it.

kthxbia

All-right, well it's been a blast and I greatly appreciate the immense amount of work this must have taken you folks at the Escapist. Thanks for the hours of brain-melting fun that just feels so good once it's over. I also liked the feeling of everyone working together on this pinnacle of puzzle genius.

Giggles DID ruin it for me, I'm sorry to say. However, without all the hints adding up, I never would've thought of that. But thank you all so much. This was the best week of my life, and I feel like crying right now.
I GOT IT!
I HAVE THE ANSWER!
IN THE NAME OF SCIENCE, I'VE WON!!!!!!
Aw, I'm sorry. At the time it seemed okay but now in hindsight it was a bit obvious, it's gone now anyway.

ThyNameIsMud, I don't know if I should be thanking you for creating such an interesting thought experiment, or cursing you for those really tough logical jumps. Both, probably. All I know is, I have a splitting headache and I have 4-1 left to do.

By the way, the formatting for the possible answer of question 5-1 is terrible. You need to be 100% exact in your phrasing. I had the answer after following all the clues, and it STILL took me about 40 entries to get it to accept my answer.

Motion seconded. That's what was driving me so crazy. Everything was pointing to that one game, but nothing was being accepted.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-
THAT was the answer?

I hate you, mods.
Though in hindsight, it seems rather fitting you ended it off with this game.

On a sidenote, could someone PLEASE tell me who those people in the pictures are?

Hold up! You mean I could be right but I'm just putting it in wrong?

I like it. If you have to enter it a specific way, people are less likely to randomly enter games and get a lucky hit. It can get kind of annoying when you know the answer and can't get it in, but if you do know the answer then you'll get there. I think that's the whole point.

Some lighthearted challenges were just what I needed to unwind right about now. This whole thing has been absurdly fun, especially Day 5. You guys are all super awesome. Thanks for putting in all this effort. Puzzle Adventure 2 cannot possibly come soon enough.

That is exactly right, to do that though you need to cut the monkey up, chew it and give it some time to digest.

I think I'd rather have a few cheaters guessing their way to victory than aggravating, what, a large portion of the legitimate players getting aggravated because of precise formating requirements.

If guessing is so bad, why not make a form-fillable, once-only submission of your answers, to be reviewed by the creators of the test at a later date? Guessing would be impossible then, but answers could be more broad (for example, if you put the Monkey Warriors 2 as your answer, and the answer was in fact Monkey Warriors 1, it would be accepted because a human being is reviewing it).

I don't feel guilty about adding all the hints up to solve the puzzle now, because i've never played that game before. Maybe I should go get it now.
And I find it amusing how I've tried entering this game multiple times for yesterday's puzzle. Oh well. Now that's over...I have to start closing all the various tabs that were required for this ONE puzzle.

Hint:
Decay over time.

Okay, so all I'm seeing are a bunch of pictures related to
numbers.
I guessed the answer from people on this thread referring to pictures of mathematicians/scientists/
theoretical physicists,
but I get the impression I have the `old' set of clues (as evidenced by looking earlier in this thread).

Edit: apparently those pictures come later. Oh well.

Woo! Day five! And of course I'm stumped again. I'd probably be well on my way if I had ANY idea who the person in the sixth image down is. Any hints?

By the way... You guys just HAVE to do this again, this is awesome stuff! I LOVE puzzles!

Except, of course, when they involve celebrities... I never ever know who they are. In fact, I'm not even sure how I figured out the ninth one down... educated guess I suppose, and google images confirmed.

These puzzles have been amazing. Unfortunately i was late and therefore wasn't able to contribute to the major push to get the answer with everyone else, but i finally got the answer after 2.5 hours! Thank you Escapist.. So damn much for making the last week one of the greatest times I have had in a very long time. My mind is a pile of steaming mush and i feel like i have my life has been severely shortened due to the mental stress of all this... but by god there is no greater feeling than getting one of these puzzles right.

Here's to having more puzzle weeks!! I would do these every day if i could. I shudder to think how long it would've taken to MAKE these puzzles. Again- Well done and good luck everyone with finishing.

EDIT: Accidentally said game title in comment *facepalm* I feel like an idiot.

Whoop! Check that. Finally got it. Would never have known. I never played that game. I feel like shooting out that aforementioned monkey at the Escapist crew now. Sadly, I'm not sure I could convey a hint that could truly cover this...mess, without giving away the answer. Still, I feel like trying. So here goes! For Day $%^&ing 5!!!

You gotta get a Yahtzee in the Amazon before you can get to Mogworld, but even then, you may just be playing tag with those two zombies. Before they Escapist, search for them. Their comments will interest you. Pay attention to their Capitalist ways and they'll jam you up. Once you have them in site, check out their photo albums. Only then will you get the gravity of the matter.

There. A hint as convoluted as the puzzle itself. Have fun! This monkey shooter is out!
