so i found out that guy is
Fibonacci
and so I figure it must have something to do with the
Fibonacci sequence
but I can't figure out what, please help!
You have solved a big part of the puzzle by figuring out what it is looking for. The URL of that page is asking you for something, and since you know the pattern to use you just need to figure out how many steps to take from the picture. Then you can give it what it wants.
I've gotten to the last step, at first I thought it would be as simple as
matching letters to numbers
but thats not working, can you help me just a bit more?
Alright

All of the men in the pictures were scientists in their own right and that plays into how you can translate those numbers. Try and find a scientific(not necessarily mathmatic) chart that is numbered that you can match those numbers to.

Those people mentioned in the review have odd enough names for them to be unique. Google might not turn up anything on them in a search, but searching other(closer) sites might.

Thats way to obvious. I'd edit that down quite a bit...
Do you think that's better?
Yeah, it was way to obvious before. Its still not the subtlest, but its probably a lot better, and I imagine that if you don't already know its probably pretty hard to guess from that alone.

Okay, so my pride forced me to get the end of Puzzle 5 (despite having guessed it much earlier). I have to say that as a
Chemist
I enjoyed the last step. Thanks Escapist.

Ok I have spent 3 hours on this, most at the end
i have gone through most of the thread and got this
HELP please

mega spoiler
ok im on the page with the spiral of famous/movie mathematicians, people keep suggeesting connection to scientists/ physicists. i ve seen decay hint suggesting nuclear things and other with gravity.
i understand Fibonacci sequence etc., but there are steps as well
in the url i've tried multiple numbers sequences, famous mathematicians and scientists
also people have said its game Yahtzee liked tried a couple of those.

CONFUSION!!!

sorry mods if this gives away too much

pm me if you can give places where i'm going wrong and its too obvious for the thread

AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

you're almost there
figure out who is on the biggest picture, why he is famous mathematican, and why those pictures are placed in the way they are. after that use your finding in url, but you need to count your steps carefully. after that you will be at last clue with numbers where your mass/nuclear thing goes into charts

EDIT: oh i see you did that. So congratulations. It was really nice played puzzle by Escapists.

What's this about numbers? I solved this 2 hours after it came out with the group of us pioneers that blazed the original trail.

This is how I figured it out:
I'm going to be honest, I have no idea what people are talking about numbers at the end of the puzzle. I solved this by looking at the organization of the pictures on the final page. I don't wanna say how, suffice to say I've seen very eerily similar picture in one of my former texbooks, which lead to face-palm worthy epiphany.

(*collapses on his face from all that mental strain and exhaustion and slowly struggles up to a kneel*)

...It's finally over...I got my +1 badge...

You Escapist guys...How were you all able to concoct all this stuff for this week? You guys are GOOD.

And thank you, people, for your hints and advice throughout this thread.

I'm glad I got this over with... It's over now...^_^

(*collapses back onto his face....and starts sliding across the floor to make his exit*)
