I've tried these sorts of puzzles before. I hate them. I hate them more than mortal man can comprehend. For the safety of those around me I think I'll give this a miss.

Many thanks to you guys(Escapist crew) for making this little adventure.
And here's hoping for more in the future.

And to my fellow Escapists, without you I'd have been stuck on a few of these WAY longer than I needed to be. (I.e the 2-4 and 3-2)

EDIT: was 3-2 not 3-1.
I started this puzzler early this morning, glad I noticed this before the 20th!

Looking back, I'm kind of disappointed none of the answers were
Puzzle Agent or Professor Layton
How can you have this sort of thing without mentioning them? MADNESS!

Well, that was a lot of fun. Some of the answers I worked out by myself, others needed assistance from this excellent community, all were a lot of fun. Thanks for putting in the time and effort to make this, team, and thanks to everyone who nudged me the right way when my brain gave up.

I look forward to Puzzle Week II: Revenge Of The Puzzle :)

text after dialogue in most recent review is your clue all the way, you just need to Search for some kind of tag in right place.

and for 4-2
you have to plot your places on map. Then connect points in order and read your new directions it will point you in the right place

Guh, finally got it finished. I don't even care that I got more answers by combing this thread than I did from figuring out the actual puzzles (mainly when some of the puzzles were just about guessing and luck and not about logic).

But I probably won't be trying this again if it's ever run. It just wasn't fun or satisfying and caused more frustration than anything.

Good idea, though. It definitely seemed to go over well.

i can't quite figure out what to do on step six, who are those people?
Fictional or real life mathematicians and scientists. Find the name of the guy in the biggest picture, see what he was famous for and think that way. Also, the pictures themselves turned out to be enough of a decisive clue for many people around here, including me.

You have solved a big part of the puzzle by figuring out what it is looking for. The URL of that page is asking you for something, and since you know the pattern to use you just need to figure out how many steps to take from the picture. Then you can give it what it wants.

I had absolutely no idea what to do for the last one, so I just guessed some of the most popular games and got it on my third try. Doesn't feel right though. I wish I could've gone through all the awesome shit that was planned.

Complete blind guess and I got it! After reading through all the stuff about
mathematicians and who/what else you'd group them with
I typed in the first game that came to mind. And it was right.
Okay, so I don't get the satisfaction of sitting at my PC melting my brain for about 2 hours, but I got lucky. I had fun over the past 5 days, Escapist. My mind is well and truly bruised. But I enjoyed it. Hope to see another puzzle event soon.
Good luck to everyone else.

I just got the answer on a moment of inspiration from the broad hints dropped on this thread. Let me just say that this has been a fantastic week working out the puzzles, and watching this epic thread evolve over time. It's really quite cool to read this thread and see the evolution of everyone's ideas. I hope we see another puzzle adventure soon!

I finally finished! Oh wow, this was a fun week! Thank you Escapist for reminding me that my brain can do more than just tell me to press buttons and fiddle around with analog sticks! And thank you, Forums; I couldn't have done it without you guys!
