TF2's Sniper Trades Rifle For Bow and Arrow

They are actually working very hard on the fact that consoles cannot have the extra content. Its the reason the patch hasn't been released on the pc yet.

Sniper is my main class, and this update looks like fun. I do hope the Huntsman doesn't unbalance the class too much.

Ah, I can't wait until this update. I will not be playing sniper. In fact, I probably won't test out the weapons for a few weeks after the update. As a career spy, I will be doing what I do best. I'll be running up to the eight snipers lined up in a row trying to get headshots and plunge my knife into every one of their exposed, defenseless, cowardly BACKS!!!

...And I plan on going pyro to kill the spies planning on farming snipers.

Yes, I will have to look out for all you pyros. I might just play on servers where I have high ping so I can just facestab them, but that would be mean.

Haha, well I actually don't like pyro much. I'll probably be playing spy with you, or maybe what I usually play (Scout/Medic). Who knows? It's still going to be a fun update.

And yes, facestabs would be quite mean.

I know, but with the release of L4D content on the 360 for free, things are looking up for a release of TF2 content. Maybe once Valve finishes all the class updates they'll do one big release.

The Problem for 360 owners is that it can only handle X amount of stuff. The simple fact is that their isn't enough space for all this TF2 awesomeness...
It makes me breath a sigh of relief that I have it on PC.

This is excellent, and it's good to see Valve recognise that this is necessary. Overpowered sniper-style weapons have been slowly killing FPS games for years.

I'm both enthralled and disappointed. The sniper is my favorite class for TF2 and as an archer myself, this is makes him even more exciting. The only thing is though, I had sniping in TF2 down to a science, I hope this doesn't screw up my abilities.

The bow and arrow is optional.

I am of a similar opinion. The Demoman or Soldier was in need of an update 10 TIMES MORE than the Sniper..

I'd personally have to disagree: I think the Soldier is brilliant as he is, and really enjoy playing him without any achievements or unlocks. And a demoman update would just result in more people playing the bastards, and damn I hate fighting demomen....

Doesn't change how funny it is.

I never got into the sniper, but the concept of a longbow that pins people to walls sounds like my kind of thing. The update might just draw me into that class after all...
