So the moral of this thread is... I should re-download Killing Floor...

OT: Well... this one is about me actually :p
It was my first match on League of Legends and I had absolutely no idea what the hell I was doing. I selected Garen because he was the character I used in the tutorial and happened to be F2P that week.

As soon as the game starts I head straight for bot lane and past all of the turrets and straight for the mid lane once I hit their second turret. I ran into the dragon as I assumed that there would just be a regular mob there and was met with a fireball in the face.

Anyway...this level of idiocy goes on till about 25 minutes into the game. I had try to leave 3 times as I hadn't figured out that LoL doesn't really let you "leave" matches until you finish them and I realize on the 4th log-in that there is a merchant...

So I purchased Frozen Heart.

I was immediately met with: "THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?!?" by every teammate I had.

I laugh now when I think back to that.
I had a similar experience. My friend had me play a few tutorial missions and then threw me straight into PVP with him, no bots. So i'm playing Ryze as i dug him back in the day, and was building him completely wrong. For god sakes i had a brutalizer on him... STUPID STUPID STUPID!

Anywho, we were winning and pushed mid up to the inhib, Everyone else was gone so i took the inhib down, and it says "You are now Spawning Super Minions"
Sweet, i think to myself
Now what? Nobody told me that the inhibitor has a set respawn time. So i didn't know what to do. I pretty much just stood next to it, like i was guarding it or somethign, and the ENTIRE enemy team descends on me and just murders me. My buddy goes WTF Dude, why didn't you run?
"I was keeping the Super Minions Spawnin"
What are you talking about?
"I have no idea, how do the super minions spawn
They spawn when you kill the inhibitor, you don't have to stay there
"AH, my bad then
Also, drop the Brutalizer and grab frozen heart
"Grab what now?

We still won, but definitely not because of me

Good times.

I found our stupidity awe inspiring :D
I swear, Bobmus' internet was so bad, it's like he was on a connection from 1973.
Let's get some of that in here shall we!

I remember during that match, accidentally backing out the window D:

This happens nearly every time I play League of legends.
It can be really bad when a champion who is tricky to build becomes popular in blind pick such as warwick or Urgot.
No! No you do not rush I.E on Urgot.

I have also lost many games because my teamates decided that after an ace and tower push when we are all wounded and the enemy team just respawned, that now is the perfect time to try and Baron without even checking it for wards.
I swear people think that if you manage to get Baron then you have instantly won the game because it's buff makes you invincible and able to one hit everything or something.

Even worse when the enemy is going for it and one guy on his own tries to steal it when he has no long range attacks to do it safely, no escapes to get away and no high damage attacks to secure it. Yeah on the 5% chance you manage to get that you will be dead and we will now be screwed 4v5 but it's ok we will die with slightly more gold than before.
I love dealing with people that think getting Baron makes you a 5v1 invincible god. Its so much easier to have your whole team push a lane they aren't in and grab 2 turrets, an Inhib and then drop a base turret down and then all of us teleport back to our base and laugh as they have to waste time fighting off the super minions. Yeah, by all means get baron, I'll use the time constructively by demolishing your base.
THis is exactly what I mean. We will be roaming and neither team knows the others location and some guy just suddenly pings Baron and starts blind wandering over there, he then tells everyone to come to Baron in chat and they then start it without even checking for wards.
They will then try to kill Baron while the enemy takes all of our turrets and some inhibs, by the time we are done they will have either destroyed our inhibs or come to Baron as we finish it to ace us since we are weakened and they know exactly where we are due to us not checking for wards.

But hey we got Baron and can easily beat them when they get a great initation on us and have a health advantage right?

I don't mind nOObs, we were all nOObs at one point. I will be patient and teach you what I know.
However, there are a few who piss me off. Liars, the ones who say they have done this before, but haven't are a big one. Also, people who don't listen or take my advice.

Keep in mind there is a difference between my opinion and a fact. Saying I personally loved the sniper is an opinion and they don't have to do it. However, when I say you should at the very least do all the main missions on a planet before moving to the next one is a fact. One guy didn't listen he ended up being level 19 on a level 25 planet.... and wanted me to run him through things.

No, no I wont.

According to Zileas (one of League's higher ups), about 45,000 people have been banned in the last year alone for breaking the rules. Considering it takes between 10 and 30 games to even get nominated for banning... it tells you how lousy it is.
The game has a very large and very active community. It's not outside the realms of probability that a lot of people don't meet the bad people - it's just that they're the only ones you hear about. See also: Republicans and Christians, especially when they overlap.

Every pug game of... oh wait. NDA, Shit. Ok um... I cannot tell you which game it is but every single damn match has some asshole who thinks he is the real shit and rushes in to his demise just because he has the biggest stick. Well guess what you worthless piece of a team slot! Your stick ain't worth shit if your opponent has skills, no matter how small his stick is compared to yours.

Not only that but they then clog the chat with their vulgar attempts to lay the blame on either the game or their opponents cheating and/or not playing fair.

God I cannot wait for this thing to leave Beta so I no longer have to deal with these fuckwads!
AFAIK, Planetside 2 is not under NDA anymore.

Well, I've never done one that bad, but I have dicked myself over before in similar ways. :p

I think my favorite thing to do, while over voice comms with some of my college friends, is be the first one out of the shop, then ninja-weld all the doors on the way out as fast as I can. None of them are full welds, mind you, but it's still funny to hear my friends on the other end curse me when they have to pull out their welder to open a 4% welded door, and then another and another.
I really don't play to many online games, but I've gotta say, Killing floor just has the capacity for all sorts of amazing and hilarious things to happen. One thing me and my friends would try and do is level block. I was trying to level up Commando, and made the mistake of asking my friends to leave the Stalkers to me. My one friend would actively ignore other enemies to kill only stalkers. The best though is when my friend was playing medic, and we close to levelling up, so he would be trying to heal us, and we would be running away shouting "no experience for you!" ...
We died a lot that round

My buddy, back when COD: MW2 first came out, used to do the most noobish things possible, but in the most hilarious fashion. We'd all be sitting in the room, and he'd put on voice chat and just act like he hadn't the foggiest what he was doing. the best lines went like this:
Teammate: God man, you suck so bad! What's wrong with you?
Friend: (he entered the match right near the end, and so had little time to get into the swing of things) Yeah sorry guys, I just don't know what happened. That was entirely my fault.
Next Round:
Friend: Okay guys, let's get out there and have some fun! GO TEAM!
Teammate: Uh, yeah, gotcha. Fun.
Later
Friend: Hey guys, wanna have a karaoke party?
Teammate: Yeah, that sounds like fun! What do we do?
Friend: YOU SING A SONG, DUMBASS!

Capcha: Skynet is watching. Uh oh.

Did the OP seriously just use noob as an adjective? I can't bear to even be in this thread now.
Yes I did, 'twas the best adjective for threatening to arrest for unpausing a game in which they were proxy-gate rushing. And only now? 3 pages in is a little late to say that.

Odbarc said:
I've never known anyone to keep a game paused like that.
"You gotta go AFK a whole second? I win!"
Yeah, it is Bad-Manners to pause in the first place without really good reason[footnote]talking to your teammate / 10 min lunchbreak is NOT legit reason to pause, and his conversation heavily implied he was using his pause "tactically"[/footnote] so that did annoy me. Also you generally type "pp" BEFORE you need to pause to indicate it and avoid breaking game flow as it can mess with your management horribly.

That said, Starcraft 2 games can be 40 intense minutes long, so I do understand if someone needs 1 pause, and I try to be polite, but pausing without warning and then not giving a good reason... soz bro.

Also, they were rushing, the game would be over in another three minutes easily because they failed miserably. And it had only been a few minutes as was.

The Crotch said:
...

Well, you should give more than two seconds for an explanation after a pause. If someone desperately needs to stop the action so that they can do something, why do you expect them to type out an explanation while the game is still running?

Ask for an explanation, give it, like, ten seconds, then unpause mercilessly.
The game-breaking nature of a pause without warning is why I only give 2 seconds. They should warn, generally with a "pp" before wrecking my groove. Also it was a short game that they were cheesing like mad. And "Dad here" or "food ready" does not take 10 seconds to type, I need not an essay, just a legit reason. Otherwise Ima spam that unpause button. There was also no micro battle going on at the time, he wants to waste my time (that is what it is), his cost, not mine by breaking my game flow without warning.

Might not be Planetside 2. Could be World of Warplanes, where I imagine your plane is much less important than your flying ability.

I miss C4 quad bikes in Battlefield: Bad Company 2. So much time spent laughing like a moron over skype with a buddy of mine. The angry text chat afterwards was always fun to read as well.

If your plane was much less important than your flying ability, that would render their pay to win business model obsolete, so I highly doubt that (planes will be much less important than player abilities, I am not doubting it could've been other game than Planetside 2, it was more of a joke).

Of course your plane is going to play a big part, but due to it being a flying game it's very likely that a skilled pilot in a worse plane will beat a less skilled pilot in a better plane.
I can't really imagine someone with a better plane being able to outfly someone with more experience and skill.

Why do you say Pay to Win anyway? That hasn't been my experience with World of Tanks so I've no reason to suspect WoWP will be like that.

I almost always play Pyro. But that isn't as bad as the temas with four or five snipers or spies. Those are infurating as there is no puch watsoever. Or CTF teams without a engine (or any defense position for that matter). Or pushing teams with no medic. To many a decent game has been lost by those kind of teams. TF2 isn't the game to play if you're obsessd with headshooting the other guy, it is a team effort, it's kind of in the title of the game. I usually don't change, but if really necessary i'll try to be I calss I can at least be useful (but I ahte to change when I'm the best Pyro in my team and we have an excess of that class).

A lot of people miss the implicit humour of shooters like COD. I mean, when you get shot you burst into paper money. That's hilarious
