The animation is quite fluid. I like where you're going. IF I have a problem with it its that the character who's hit with the ball appears smaller when fallen than while standing. Its just a case of small perspective and spacial issues that need to be worked out. Otherwise I like it. It seems like a natural extension of Brainbolt.

Interesting. What kind of an approach are you taking to the game? Platformer? Adventure? RPG?
Of course who had to indulge in the self/yahtzee image, though I feel it would better suit your style to ditch the yellow in favor of black or white. The yellow makes you feel like a different character.

Post your vids. We'd love to see them. I would at least.

Well, I don't actually plan on putting myself into the game... okay, maybe, but that isn't the point. Either way it'll still be very much Yahtzee's "world", so elements of his style, including the yellow, all have to be present. Besides, if I didn't keep the yellow the name I came up with, "Zero Punctuation: Into the Yellow Euphoric Yonder", wouldn't make much sense.

As far as the game itself, think action platformer. I'm tearing a page out of the Megaman playbook and I'm planning on have several different "theme" levels based off of different games he's reviewed, each one with a boss at the end. I'm still waffling back-and-forth on mechanics, but at this point I think I'm going with the tag-team of Yahtzee and an imp acting as a "team" of sorts. They stick together, solve puzzles together, fight together (i.e. Yahtzee might actually use the imp as a weapon), etc.

The "story" is inspired partially by Gex the Gecko if you ever played that. Basically Yahtzee gets forcibly sucked into his computer, and if he's going to escape he has to venture through several different "worlds" based off of games that he's reviewed (in Gex it was a TV and television shows instead).

Did that answer everything?

Once again I am asking the amazingly talented people on here to draw my Dungeons and Dragon character.

His name is Cruxx, he is a 4th level Swashbuckler and 3rd level Bard. He is 5'9 and 165lbs with blue eyes, black hair and tanned skin. He is quite athletic as well as charismatic. In battle he wields a flaming Spiked Chain and wears a Mithral chain shirt.

I'm not too sure on his personality yet but I am hoping that a visual picture will help stir some things. Feel free to have as much artistic freedom as you need.
I'm assuming Human, since you didn't give a race. :)
You said you didn't have a personality, but do you know his natural disposition? Angry, sad, happy, somber, etc etc.

I might give this a spin. :)

So, I'm currently trying to get my ass in gear so I can start working on an entry for that "Stonking Great Game" contest. I mean come on I get to make a game and win massive amounts of swag? It's a win-win.

I'm going to have to end up animating a lot of crap down the line, so I'm starting out by making "resources" for all of the characters. That means bodies, hands and feet, heads with different facial expressions, and so on. I've been working on doing that for most of the day, but I already know that making the art assets will end up being the easiest part of the entire process.

Right now I've got basic character assets for Yahtzee and "regular" people, including a bunch of different faces and stuff like different bodies. The imps will be up next. For the hell of it I'll post updates of my progress on this when I get the chance until it's either done or I abandon it out of sheer apathy and procrastination. Whichever comes first.

Oh, and finally we have this:

That is all,
~Van
Holy crap... mine is going to be no where near that complicated... I've already completed my basic scrolling shooter :p

Both myself and the people who I play with were impressed with the last effort =D

Since that picture was drawn, the character kept the streets of Sigil City of Doors safe, fought some demons in a minitor temple, got turned to stone by an epic level wizard trapped in a sword that was being wielded by a 6 armed snake lady then turned back from stone by the cleric, fought a Balor, died, got brought back to life by a god, released the Wizard in the sword and defeated the Balor, trapping his soul inside a giant black orb.

Awesome!

Anyway, we are starting a new game in a couple of weeks and would love to have a picture of my next Character.

Thanks in advance everyone =D
Lucky you. It seems you've got a few takers for your character, myself included. Perhaps you could get the descriptions of your friends' characters as well. I know myself that I love doing drawings based on other people's ideas, perhaps there are other like-minded artists here too.

Also, when I finish the picture, would you mind if I added it to my Deviant page? I'll credit you of course, by either your name or linking to your profile page here.

Yeah he is human, can't believe I missed that one. I guess over all he is happy and kind of cocky, that would be the bard in him. I've never met an unhappy bard.

I don't have a description of any of the other players characters because we are starting fresh. Regarding DA - If you make something please, feel free to add it to your page for sure, my name as credit will be fine =D

Thanks man. I'm almost ready to ink him now. And bards are always cocky in the D&D universe, in my mind.

I appologise. I couldn't get his face to do what I wanted, so I comprimised with myself. ^^;
I gave him a medallion. The symbols start in the following meaning; Triangle for the Gateway. The Anhk for Life. The rain from a cressant moon are a holy blessing. Then some runes. Cause things worn from the neck are usually magic. ;)

I did this a little while ago, and got it scanned while I was scanning something else in. A holy crusader of sorts. 2 minutes, bic pen.

Okay man, here's Cruxx for you:

EDIT: Yeah, you didn't state whether he had long or short hair, so I figured he's a swashbuckling bard, so I gave him rakish long hair and a goatee.

I do quite a bit of painting, I'm at work right now, so I can't post pics, but i'll try to later. I paint Neo-expressionist portraits, and I'm illustrating a children's book soon.

That's freaking awesome for a 2 minute sketch with a Bic.

OLD drawing, from 4 years ago. Appauling picture quality, if I find the original again, I'll scan it up put it up.

Again, an incredibly old sketch, circa 2004/2005. How I was this bad at drawing, I do not know.

I'll see if I can get some of my newer stuff up sometime.

EDIT: Didn't realise photography etc. counted.

Holy crap man that is amazing! Thank you so much!
Glad you liked it. I must say I had a lot of fun drawing him, though I don't really like how the flames on the chain turned out.

Looks like you have three separate drawings now, all of which are awesome...good luck choosing just one.
