Chh. You totally did it wrong. Should've thinned out the right-hand side until it was barely enough to hold the thicker eye in place, so that it was actually black on light. Or I'm just being picky because we don't do Halloween.

I don't have much work I'm comfortable sharing, but here's one I did a few months back that I was quite proud of. You might have seen it on Halo.Bungie.Org, but if not, I hope you enjoy it.

For those who do not get the reference, it's a remake of a rather iconic image from the first Halo, where Cortana sends a transmission to the Cryopod bay to "Unseal the Hushed Casket."

I never realised this sort of thing went on here! Super. I've been dabbling in sketching and acrylic painting since secondary school, and it'll be nice to share some of it beyond putting it near a window and hoping passers-by might catch a glance.

These are three paintings I've done since being on the dole- only one is finished at the moment. Apologies for the not great pictures- I'm still stumped by how to get a decent picture of acrylics without using a flash. Some daylight would probably help, or a rudimentary understanding of how to use a camera properly. Anyway, you should get the rough idea.

Spoiler: This is of York Minster at night, with cubist/pixelated sort of stuff going on.

Spoiler: An unfinished triptych of York (especially unfinished since there's only two panels.)

Spoiler: An unfinished, close-up view of the Minster, in a similar style to the first painting. Apologies for the carpet round the edges- it's a tall painting, so taking photos is tricksy.

The white formations in the sky of the third and first pictures are stars, but I'm thinking of removing them from the third picture and having a pure navy blue/ black area between the clouds, just to declutter it a bit.
