I cant be bothered to put my art on this site but im on deviantart, im Laurabree3.
Here be a link for the other lazy bastards out there ---> http://laurabree3.deviantart.com
I never realised this sort of thing went on here! Super. I've been dabbling in sketching and acrylic painting since secondary school, and it'll be nice to share some of it beyond putting it near a window and hoping passers-by might catch a glance.
These are three paintings I've done since being on the dole- only one is finished at the moment. Apologies for the not great pictures- I'm still stumped by how to get a decent picture of acrylics without using a flash. Some daylight would probably help, or a rudimentary understanding of how to use a camera properly. Anyway, you should get the rough idea.
The white formations in the sky of the third and first pictures are stars, but I'm thinking of removing them from the third picture and having a pure navy blue/ black area between the clouds, just to declutter it a bit.
They are acrylic, I can't afford oils at the moment, and I prefer the instant gratification of acrylics. Thanks for the kind words! Especially the shufflebottoms!
Alright, I figured I'd disapeared for a little while, with no quick doodles of quick anything lately.
That's because i've been focusing on my comic, which thanks to the fact i've been maintaining a working writing process and regular update schedule is now at page 15.
Like any other web-based comic I go a page at a time, and they're all on DeviantArt.
Now I'm not gonna do the ridiculous thing and post up all 15 pages up on here.
As much as I'm sure i'd love to type out "Spoiler" and "image" 30 times...
(Yes I've heard of copy&paste, but i'm too lazy for that and it just takes up space.)
So what I'm gonna do is graciously provide a link to Page 1: [link]http://teh-g-man.deviantart.com/art/PTG-001-45557104[/link]
There are "Next" and "Previous" links in the artist comments, so you can easily browse them.
I just figured I'd share it all with you, seeing as I'd like this stuff to be popular quickly.
So until I come up with some other pictures, enjoy those.
[Disclaimer]: The first few pages are nto exactly high standard...
I think your humour style needs work. Apparently random events are amusing once every.. oh, shall we say 30 comics? More than that and it's just off-putting. Monty Python might be able to pull it off but you've not quite got their style I'm afraid.
Other than that, the art style is stellar as ever.
Looking at your style, I think that acrylics work better, I use oil paints and I don't think it would be as easy to paint like that with them, it takes too long to dry. However, working with them feels very different to working with acrylics.
And if you're a bit tight with the money, here's a good website that has low prices:

They do actually do oil paints pretty cheap if you wanted to try. But they do a whole range of canvases, paints, brushes, almost everything you need. Delivery is a bit pricey, but that's because they ship from Germany.

I'm gonna agree with the fact that I don't have the style of Monty Python, which is mostly why I'm glad I'm not trying to be like them.
I should probably have explained, the over the top "Whacky" happenings in the first pages is actually all just character introduction and such.
Also, the only reason I'm trying to work in a joke every page is because it's not meant as a book, it's a web-comic at it's core, and most web-comics consist of a page ending on the majority with a punchline, so it's almost entirely out of my hands how... Constant the humour seems.
Don't get me wrong, I value your opinion, but it just seems like you were looking at it from the perspective that it's an ongoing story, once the introduction of the characters is over with, the story will take a back seat and the comics will be more a collection of random occurances (Some like you've seen in the current pages, some more toned down)
With the occasional story-arch thrown in for good measure.
Seems to be a winning formula for web-comics.
Like I said, though thanks for your opinion and I will be toning it down in time, making the humour slightly more subtle.
I'm not saying that a punch line for every strip is bad. Not in the slightest. I'm saying that you'd be better off playing with the humour style a little. Either way.
Not really much out of the ordinary with this, besides I went with a different type of pose then normal and the addition of a some-what more "Worked" style of shading and lighting.
[EDIT]: the background isn't mine either.
Such for "woodland at night" on google and you'll find it.
I did a Meme for a thing on DeviantArt called "Dead Deviant".
Some Zombie apocalypse themed art tourney.
I'm not really one for tournaments because I'm usually too lazy to do my own projects.
Anyway, I did the Meme, I won't post the actual picture here, because it's a bit long
So you'll have to manage with a [link]http://fc04.deviantart.com/fs51/f/2009/275/a/a/Dead_Deviant_Meme_by_Teh_G_man.png[/link]
