*Ahem* Sorry for that eye sore, but yeah, definitely Sony & Nintendo didn't dissapoint, now I really want a Wii U and almost everything Sony showed on their conference looked AWESOME, especially a certain game (dunno wich one... >.>), althought looking great, I still won't go out rushing for a PS4... yet, it's coming to PC, so yeah, no PS4 for me yet.

And indies, they never fail to impress. Happy E3-ing everybody!.

Please don't do this next year, Bob. I like to watch some Game Overthinker from time to time, but with those it's usually possible to skip all the "comedic" bits with the characters and get right to your thoughts. I don't always agree with or respect your opinion on something, but I think the format of Big Picture is much better than that of Game Overthinker when it comes to getting to the point. I didn't enjoy this combination.

(Also, I was really happy about Nintendo's showing and very pleased that Microsoft showed nothing but games. This was a good E3.)

Yeah, same. Sorry Bob, I could tell you put a lot of effort into this but for someone who has never seen your other show today's episode just seemed forced and unfunny for the most part, besides taking ages to get going, shame because the minute or so of actual commentary was quite interesting and I usually really enjoy the Big Picture.

I kinda enjoyed the actual commentary part, but overall this was really cringeworthy. I honestly felt kind of embarrassed watching it.

I'm surprised at how genuinely disappointed I feel right now, but I guess that just goes to show how much I usually like and look forward to The Big Picture, so maybe that's a positive.

I've been curious about the GameOverthinker for a while. Didn't know anything about it really, but I definitely wasn't expecting... that. Definitely won't be checking it out in future, sorry Bob :/

Honestly, that bit was all but lockstep with the attitude/message I've been getting from the show lately, so... meh?

Also: Self-depreciating humour (and that is the best case scenario, and none of the options are graceful at all) doesn't work if the character is aware of the fact, and a lazy attempt to cross the line twice doesn't count as either being witty or metahumour.

Well that was weird. I never bothered to watch Game Overthinker. I tried it 1 time and was like 'oh its just some fat sweaty guy in his pants talkin about games'. It was probly just an unfortunate choice of episode.

Well, the was... funny at first, until I heard Retrothinker and Antithinker speak. Those two sound like a couple of Freshmen-year Sociology courses personified. The ones that pin all the ills of the world on ALL heterosexual Caucasian human males throughout all time and space. Speaking as a Heterosexual Caucasian Human Male born in 1984, I find that line of thought insulting, as if everything wrong in the world is personally MY FAULT, when the worst stuff happened before I was born! In the grand scheme of things, I just got here! So Bob, please, DON'T DO THIS AGAIN!

This is the internet, which means that they probably won't and instead just complain about how they don't like the sketches. And look, that is exactly what happened. Oh internet, you never fail to disappoint me.

Perhaps that's because it fails as a parody and feels too much like someones (Bob's) deep seated hatred and resentment for a group of people.
It's like when Kevin Smith used Clerks 2 to have characters moan about how he personally didn't like lord of the rings (or clerks the animated series where he has a go at Seth McFarlane) your basically just listening to the persons one sided argument for why something sucks and you should feel bad for liking that thing

Right, and which "Group of people" might that be? This isn't exactly the civil rights movement here people, and I should hope that there isn't a single person who actually Thinks the x-box Live trashtalk is "ok" and Worth defending.

The fact that people look at this and go "Bob hates people for liking something he doesn't" says a whole lot more about THEIR level of maturity than it does his. Bob doesn't like certain trends in video-games and what they say about the gaming Community as a whole, big fucking deal. I don't Think that is an excuse for people to go completely blind and miss the obvious, that Bob's characters are extremely broad stereotypes played up for Comedy. Yet people still blow it up as if he took the constitution and burned it.

It´s a trap, it´s a Game Overthinker episode in disguise, storysegments and everything! Not exactly what i was hoping for. I´m sorry, this was pretty awful and hard to sit through for me. Would have prefered a standard Big Picture episode, looking forward to the post-E3 video.

I was beginning to think I was the only one cringing.

That being said, Anti-Thinker had the odd gem... I do like making fun of bros though....

OT No Man's Sky looks like the sort of game that will take hours of my life away.
Dog fighting, space and dinosaurs. Why hasn't this happened sooner?

I knew people couldn't get through the episode the moment I noticed GO. It's... quite the preachy type of series it feels like. Especially the anti-thinker and his 'commentary' on the thing.

I get it, you dislike the trend. But don't keep dragging it on, just say your piece and move onto the next commentary. I'm just adding fuel to that fire, but it did feel poorly thought out at best.

Nope. This was not a good idea. Which is a shame, because there's a whole bunch of content from Bob on video games which is unfortunately gated behind a painfully unfunny framing device. Maybe you could just, like, Moviebob some video games? I'd watch the fuck out of that. But 2 minutes of so-so exegesis from an unkind stereotype with 6 minutes of tiresome set-up is not something I'm up for.

I anit seen shit out of E3 that gives me a reason to give even the slightest of fucks it exists.

Past games like Shovel Knight, IE stuff I already knew about. Yeah, nothing there. If anything it's been depressing, not for the same 'more of last years game with a bigger number and better shine' I kinda ignore that crap anymore, but because Warframe is apparently heading to the Xbone

The Xbox press conference definitely raised my opinion on whether or not I'll be using my xbox one as something other than a cable box in the next 12 months, Sony's press conference felt like a victory lap, and Nintendo....other than smash bros, it looks like their other big games are going to wait till after the hoilday rush. That's most likely a smart move, heck my wallet is already going to be hurting this October already with youmacon but now with a half dozen triple a releases in one month, it's going to be on life support(or I could just wait for x-mas).

Is there an editor who looked at this before it was put on this website? If so, I think they need to take a long hard look at themselves because that is one of the poorest made videos I have seen put on a site like this. It was also a glorified advert for a show that does not air on this site.

Despite sketch comedy not being your strong suit, I did appreciate some of the actual moments of insight.

Beyond that... E3 is shaping up to be another crappy year, with Nintendo being the only one to catch my interests. Shame on Microsoft for being oblivious, and shame on Sony for simply choosing to celebrate their victory over Microsoft.

I love the Big Picture series. I even found the different perspectives, or lampooning of, to be kind of interesting. Your commentary has always had a solid degree of insight but inserting sketches and role playing to it . . . I'm not feeling it.

For the love of God, please never do this crossover again.
