Oh I've seen this piece of "cinema" and it is glorious. Even as a child I was beyond bewildered when robots came into the fray of Greek Mythology.

As a side note, the best of Greek Mythology would still have to be the 1963 Jason and the Argonauts a'la Ray Harryhausen effects.

Bob oh Bob...
In a case like this you should end with:¨

I'm Bob
and that's half of the big picture...

why a 2 part episode here? comes off as you not having enough ideas for episodes this year and unlike when you do this with a comic book series or history of something I can just watch the 2 hour movie sometime this week to see what else happens if that's all you are going to talk about.

See that Clash of the Titans? THAT is how you make a Greek Mythology movie without having to deal with actual Greek Mythology. You just throw the entire thing out the window (And into space, apparently) and roll with whatever you want. You don't continue pretending it's the same damn thing.

Seriously, I've never watched this flick but it looks completely awesome.

I've always loved this movie. Though my favorite Herc is in Jason And The Argonauts:

Oh WOW this movie looks dumb. I especially like your comments about "these movies being like porn for women" and that Hercules threw a bear into space.

Can't wait for next week's episode!

Was that a god damned Robot Centaur? IT WAS!?!

What did those guys smoke before this?

Thanks to this though, I now have the Disney's Hercules theme in my head.
Good for you, I got this one stuck in my head. I can't believe I still remember this crap.

Although this show had the best monster sounds ever!
Loved that show; it wasn't homoerotic at all. Iron in his thighs indeed. Running around with that little satyr who was always getting kidnapped.

What Bob, no long rant about how demeaning these movies are to men because of how it sexualizes them and treats them as meat, pandering to the demographic that they're aimed at?

No? What? It won't get you any of those "Hey look at me, I'm a feminist, totally for reals!" points that you're trying to build up to impress that alternative girl at the coffee house? It's also not letting you jump on the "Video games are unfair to women" bandwagon that's so popular these days and it might force you to acknowledge how frequently games feature buff, shirtless dudes in the exact same fashion these movies do for basically the same reason? Okay, I gotcha.

The horsepoop part made me spit out my coffee in laughter. Also that evil sorceress can cast a love spell on me any day.

Well, the recent Thor movie proved that Space Vikings could work, so in theory Space Olympians could work too. Emphasis on "could". Maybe if they actually explained why the greek Gods lived on the moon (or explained much of anything) this wouldn't be so bad.

Also thank you Bob. I'd always wondered what Frankenfurhter was talking about when he referenced Steve Reeve movies.

I lost it when the bear was thrown into space, then I calmed down, rewound it back, and watched it again.

I had almost forgotten about Lou Ferrigno throwing a bear into space... the whole film just stands as a testament to good old fashioned American wtf.

Well, that was certainly amusing. And the robots are better than anything done by Michael Bay.

You're gonna love this movie as long as you remember to only use the BEAR minimum of thought while watching
