"First non-white Wii available in the UK and Ireland on November 6, mainland Europe on November 20"

About time. I was waiting for this one to buy one (as a glowing white one would look weird next to my black PS3, Elite and storage), however so much time elapsing and having played the games that I feel worth it (Zelda, Galaxy) I don't know whether I should bother.

It seems the catalogue is "One hour wonders", remakes or the above two.

" has contacted Nintendo for pricing on the new Black Wii bundle but has not received a response at the time of going to press"

Hopefully it'll be at max of £180.00, but ideally £150 mark, or part of a bundle. It'll have to give me something good to get me back on side.

I wanted the black Wii when the Wii was first shown with that pic with multiple colours. I can't bother getting it since my Wii has turned grey from dust.

Hooray for colour coding.

OT: Well, it'll probably end up as the Xbox Elite of the Wii. A few upgrades, but the most exciting feature is that it's a different colour.

Well, do you have any games that you don't want? Sell them, so the price doesn't seem as harsh.

Plus 150 POUNDS? Why do you think it's that high? Here in North America, a Wii costs $199.

Well, i already have a wii, and changing its color really wont help me enjoy it much more.
I played a lot of the great games already, and still enjoy brawl, but there are way better games coming out for the other two systems.

I'm sorry, but isn't a colour change almost entirely a useless thing to do?
A colour change has been proven to boost sales.

It gives the impression of something new, that and the "rush" of a new purchase is what drives the commercial industry.

So no

But what about for all those that want a better gaming experience rather than a new colour? It's not useless to the people selling it but it sure as hell is useless to whoever's buying it.

It's not new, the UK have always had inflated pricing within the gaming market.

Your new games are $60, whereas we are £40-45 standard. Plus our tax. Plus our ruined sterling. Adds up to good fun.

By this extension, I shall inform shoe manufacturers to only produce one model of their footwear because they all do exactly the same. And jumper manufacturers to produce one item, because they all do the same.

Don't be so narrow minded, just because it doesn't appeal to you doesn't make it "useless"

The Wii's main audience aren't people that want a better gaming experience, they are the ones that would buy a pink one for $100 more.

Oh wow.... I'm starting to feel sorry for you British gamers. You get inflated pricing, later releases and a super inflated price for MW2.

And Austrailian gamers too, with their very late release dates.

What difference does it make?

It'll still gather dust just as much as the white version.

And seriously, is the only difference that its black?

Meh it's improving gradually. At least it's not as bad as back in the 16 bit days. We never even got Final Fantasy until the PS1 days when VII came out. Took us until the DS to legally get Chrono Trigger without importing it.

On topic: I do hope they release more different colour Wii consoles here, the blue one I saw a picture of looked pretty cool. Have been tempted to get a Wii for a while in all honesty.

Yeah I saw that picture to, I was very disappointed when they only released it in white. To be quite honest I'd buy a black Wii very quickly cause color really does matter, after all the electronics in my room all follow a very strict "black w/ blue lights" color pallet.

Scuse me while I go google to see if they sell black Wii's here state-side, cause I have yet to see one.

Yea... but still how you guys have it, make me look back as a kid, when I got angry that Canadian relase dates were 1 week after the US...

But then again I was a 9 year old gamer who just had the mindset of Game, Want, Want, Gane.
