Last night, I watched a mind fuck of a movie called " The Box". The plot of this movie is a married couple is having some problems with debt. One day, a man with a disfigured face came to there home with a box. The old man said that if you pushed the button in the box, someone in the world, who you don't and will never know will die,but you get 1 million dollars. I'm not going to spoil what they did, but the movie really is going to mind fuck you.

So, if the same man came to your house, would you press the button? Someone you don't know will die, but you get a million dollars. ( The deal is legit. You just can't tell anyone about it)

I wouldn't... I live comfortably, and I guess I wouldn't be able to take that I was the cause of someone's death. Besides, that mill will be gone in a few days by the time I'm through with it.

Edit: In case you've seen the movie and knows what you also "get" when you push the button, let me be clear and say that will NOT happen. Once you get the million, the person will die, but nothing will happen to you. It would be as if it never happened. No connection can be made to you. You won't go to hell or have to kill someone you love, or anything.

I heard that film was really bad... well unless the one I'm thinking of is a remake or something.

No I don't think I could because sods law says it's someone close to me if not me.

Without a second thought I'd push it. If I will most likely never meet the person, their life has no impact on mine. So it's not like I'll have to deal with any consequences.

Yes. I'm already an evil dictator of a small island nation and owner of Snooty Enterprises Inc. This box would just add to my fortune.

I would push it before he could even say I would get a million dollars. I've always wanted to kill someone with the push of a button.

There was something similar to that ages ago on the internet.
The guy pressed the button and got his money. Plot-twist, turns out the guy is dead and is going to hell because he pressed the button.

Probably. I think if this really happened to me, I'd be quite incredulous that someone would actually die, and push it out of curiosity. Once I got the money, I'd then spend the rest of my life justifying it to myself - I didn't really think that it would happen, right? Besides, I don't know that person who died. I guess it'd eat away at me eventually, but oh well. I don't think I could refrain from pressing it, money or no money. It's a goddamn button. I need to push it.

No. That would be wrong. I don't think I could kill another person, even one I don't know.

The actual movie is much weirder than that. And the consequences of presssing the buttton are much worse.

It would be extremely hilarious if the result was random and the person who brought me the button died. Um, but Yeah, I probably would.

No because...
...if you push the button, then the next person who pushes the button will affect you. So the chain of death goes on, until someone benevolent says "NOOO, evil man with no face. Are you high? I am not pushing that colourful yet damnified button of doom!"

That's my view on things.

I sure as hell would. I'd push that button as many times as I can.
The internet box killed my first post...

I wouldn't normally, but under the right circumstances I probably would.
Plus, how does this make an exciting movie? They stare at a box and decide to after two hours?
If the first comes back, sorry for DP.

So like that little parody shown on I believe Tosh.0?

OT: I'd press it. If I never meet the person, how the hell should their life matter to me?
