The World:
So here it goes, kiddies.
The players:
2 Nobles (male or female),
Any number of other individuals from various backgrounds (read the district descriptions).
You will be gathered together by Guardsman, and taken to the citadel. A denizen of The Bogarts will probably be dragged, where as someone from The Commons or The Terrace will be lead there by guards.
They are destined to go on an epic journey, not just around the city, but around the world, to break The Siege and defeat evil.
I will PM the nobles a bit, and converse with him about their life and university educations that will set them apart from the others.
Best noble sheets/RPers win.
Don't worry about being a noble, being a working class person can be interesting, too. I'll make sure of THAT =).
PM me sheets for approval.

The Southern Market District is all but abandoned since 'The Plague' hit about 17 years gone, save for criminals and the most brutal or unfortunate of guards. Houses are boarded up, squares turned into jails, and warehouses used for all manner of illicit activity.
The Bogarts is the slum of the city. It's main business is it's brothels, and guard presence there is next to none existent. It used to be just like the commons, before 'The Plague' hit and forced people out of the Southern Market and into The Bogarts.
Anyone who lived here is accustomed to prostitution, killings, and not very fond of nor familiar with guards.
If your parents were:
Child of a whore who was unwanted, you'd have been a street urchin working and stealing for money. Odds are you wouldn't be allowed into The Commons and be stuck in The Bogarts for your youth. It would have been a dark one, with seldom a warm moment.
Child of a whore who was more wanted, your mother would probably want to keep you away from the brothel, though you would eventually learn about her profession. You'd be much more likely to go into a life of crime, but you may well return your mums favor and try to look out for her, as most whore children are thrown out the window.
Child of a Brothel owner, you'd know about your father's business but understand it's necessity. You may work at a bar as he probably owns one as well. There are probably crime rackets involved with him, as well.
Child of a poor individual, you'd be a beggar. You likely have a very small house or none at all.
Women in poverty may see the only way out as whoredom, whilst men often turn to burglury.

Due to "The Siege" it's impossible to leave the city walls. This means The Citadel must sustain itself.
The Terrace resembles the hanging gardens. There is wild game in level upon level of terraces filled with food, as well as some farms. There is a small amount of housing here, for people who work in the area. This is where all the food in the city comes from, as well as the drink, for a giant underground lake springs up at the top level of the terrace, creating waterfalls in built-in parts of the terraced walls, making it even more beautiful.
Anyone who lived here is accustomed to working hard, nature, and is alienated by the more populace and over-grown parts of the city. Guards are normal to them, as The Terrace is readily patrolled, seven fold so since 'The Plague' caused a rise in criminal activity.

Home to the middle and working class of The Citadel, they do jobs all over and are accustomed to long walks. Many of them either join the guard or go to work in shops and warehouses in their own district or the Northern Market District.
Anyone who lived here will be accustomed to a working family, possibly venturing into The Bogarts, large guard presence (especially since 'The Plague'). Many men went off to The Bogarts to get laid after a long day of work.
If your parents were:
Shop owners you probably would wait until around 18 to work.
Working class men/women you'd probably be a stable worker/sweeper of some kind, trying to bring more money to the house.
Guards, you'll probably be welcome into the service. You'd more than likely know a couple of guards, the lighter-hearted kind then are known to the Southern Market District or The Bogarts.

Home of rich aristocrats and well known generals and royalty not royal enough to live in The Keep, the people of the Northern Market District are used to a life of luxury, with people coming in to work their businesses and see to their needs.
If you lived here you must be a servant as only 1 nobleman/woman is allowed for RP purposes. You'd life in a wing off the house with your parents, and you'd all work from a very young age. You are used to guards and royals, as well as the haggling of the Markets.

The Citadel has been sieged by a horde of dark-armor clad assailants since oldest memory, though it is rumored the great library held tales of before the siege. That was burned down 300 years ago, the last time the walls were breached.
The siege isn't exactly on-going, but if anyone loses sight of The Citadel walls, they are lost forever, and strikes periodically assail The Citadel. All attempts to find the source of the enemies have ended in disaster.
The ground around The Citadel is black and charred, with some stone ruins dotted about miles away from the walls. However, standing on the Northern Market District walls, a great forest can be seen on the horizon.
Magic:
Whilst there is magic and alchemy, magic was lost in the last raid, as countless tomes on it were lost. The last of the Mages died defending the library, ultimately saving half of it's contents. Though those did not contain information about the city's attacker, nor enough about Magic for it to be learned.
Later on in the RP you will have the opportunity to learn magic.
