i really hate when you run into a couple of friends who play a game together and they are all named the same (like allan, ahllan, alan, alahn etc etc) fine your friends and you like palying together jolly wholesome fun, but do you have to be iterating and unoriginal together too?

All right that's it! If you have any additional rules to submit, please put them in the comments section and I might add them and credit you if they are good enough. REMEMBER: I might be making other commandments for videogame design, FPS's, Horror games, ect. Please tell me if I should make more in the future. Thanks!
You most certainly should make more, I think we all could help out with the videogame design commandments.

Surrounding your name like IIKukakkauII

And dear god do I hate the kids that use "sniper" in their name when they use any gun OTHER than the sniper. Same with all the MLG clan tag posers - they always SUCK

Also does mine pass the pronounciation test?

Does ygetoff pass?
Personally, I think the lack of capitals in my name express my lack of patience with this dreary world, and the fact that it looks really weird with caps: Ygetoff. See what I mean?

Rule Whatever: If you have something to say do not call it a rule, law, commandment, or anything of that nature.

It makes you appear to be a know-it-all and generally douchey(<-Not a word) person.

P.S. Aware that this starts with Rule.

By calling them commandments, I am showing how important it is to follow them.

Chief, I'd just like to say that
a) I love your avatar. Soul Eater is one of my favorite anime.
b) If you were to continue to draw up commandments for other parts of gaming, it would be a very good thing.

Actually, I think it looks vaguely Russian...which is awesome...

The fact that you consider personal opinions on personal monikers that important to follow is what makes it know-it-all...ey(<-No idea).

I was sort of aiming for that effect... I mean, even if someone doesn't get the stupid pun, they'll get the awesome.

Your name WILL be shortened, so make sure it can be recognisable from a short part of your name. My name breaks to "Words" or "Smith", but "Words" is usually what is used. The time that it takes to type "wordsmith" is half a second more getting injured.

*hypocrite's hat on* Do you really need to frame your name? Does *(Gerald)* really look better than Gerald? (I say this with my hat on because my steam/IM name is, and has been for a while, {{~The_Wordsmith~}} )

Using your real First and Last name; what is the point of even having a screenname / gamertag then?
Uhm because you sortof gotta have a name for your account? I use my first name and the initials of my last name, cause no matter what I come up with it seams like something fake anyways. And i can't just leave it blank can I? I'm not trying to create an alternate personality for when i'm online, same reason i use my own face as my avatar (though it's currently consealed by a paint-added ninja mask cause of genre wars)

To the OP.

Seeing that you slign arround the word immature as a reason not to use stuff in your gamertag several times i've gotta ask you this: You are aware that many gamers are NOT adults right?
I would rather play with a guy who has say 97 in his name and isn't ashamed of beeing 12 years old than i'd play with someone who goes over the top to hide his age, cause fake maturity is 100 times worse than immaturity.
I feel the need to clarify: I said First AND Last name. Personally I think that there is nothing wrong with using one or the other, but what does it say about your creativity if that is all you use?

After reading all the rules, I'm glad to know my GT is safe.

On a side note, Wouldn't 23 commandments be hard to carry down a mountain?

Excellent work on the commandments - I tip my hat to all the fine folks who came up with these guidelines.

Personally, I can't stand people with things like "xX_____Xx" or "xXx_____xXx" in their bloody Gamertags. That, or the ever insufferable "MLG". Drives me up the wall to no bloody end. [¬¬]

No, dont make rules, let people do what they want - it makes it so easy to separate the mature gamers from the rest at just a glance.
That is exactly what I was going to say.

Also are people really so lame that they let a persons screen name piss them off? Who gives a shit! If you get butt hurt over something like that go swallow broken glass.
