the crow was played by the kid from terminator 2 and the bad guys were tito ortiz and david boreanez.

Wait, someone rehashed the graphic novel? A man wrote a painful, therapeutic, secretly autobiographical revenge fantasy to work the demons out of his head from having the love of his life assaulted and raped, and someone thought "You know what? I could improve this!"psivamp said:I think this is an awful idea. I don't even like J O'Barr's rehashing of the graphic novel

I... I think I just threw up in my mouth a little. That sounds awful just on the page.RikSharp said:unfortunately.Scars Unseen said:There was a fourth film?

"There ain't no coming back"
What's this about Quintin Tarantino having common sense about leaving classic movies and otherwise alone?kman123 said:No.
Just no.
Until they find a way to resurrect Brandon Lee, I wouldn't like it even with the likes of Tarantino or Nolan behind it...and THEY would have the common fucking sense to leave a classic ALONE.
don't forget the goddawful travesty that Dennis Hopper contributed to what was already BEYOND garbage. and i'm not being a Brandon Lee/"only the original was worth making" asshole... THAT FILM WAS GARBAGE.RikSharp said:unfortunately.Scars Unseen said:There was a fourth film?

Yeah the only way this is even plausible as not a terrible idea is if they make this a new take on the source material, by sticking closer to the original or whatever. But the movie really doesn't need a "remake", its not so old that it looks dated and cheap compared to what they would do now or anything. There's really no way to just make the same movie again and have it be any better, especially with Brandon Lee being so closely associated with the role.level250geek said:Is this a remake, or is it another interpretation of the source material, like Tim Burton's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was based on the Roald Dahl book directly and was not a remake of the 1970s movie Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, which just happened to be inspired by the same book?
If it's a remake, I call foul. If it's a new look at the original graphic novel (which was quite different from the movie), then I'm interested.
Either way, I liked 28 Weeks Later, so at least they picked a good director.

Bug Miramax or whoever owns it now to release a true Director's cut. In the mean time, check teh inturnets and see if you can find "The Crow: City of Angles - Second Coming" a fan reconstruction. While the filmmakers and studio originally intended to create a substantially different movie to the first one - out of respect for Brandon Lee - Miramax ordered the movie to be re-edited so as to resemble the earlier one as much as possible. Tim Pope refused and he along with Goyer disowned the movie as it did not represent their vision. The fight scene between Ashe and Kali was re-shot and the film was also edited to make make it faster paced.
Could be worse. They could remake Total Recall.-Zen- said:Oh goddamnit.
The Crow was far from flawless, but it was still a damned great movie and a respectable swan song for the legendary Brandon Lee.
Leave it alone, you pricks.
The franchise has been brutally raped enough as it is. It doesn't need any more of your shit.
You want to remake a classic movie franchise that went to shit after the first entry? Continue production on that Highlander remake. Just leave The Crow the fuck alone.
This is far worse than that. Total Recall was a stupid, cheesy, badass Schwarzenegger popcorn flick. The Crow was a legitimately great film and perhaps a milestone of American cinema.MikeyW said:Could be worse. They could remake Total Recall.-Zen- said:Oh goddamnit.
