"We can only hope so," she replied to Santius.

"I guess it's time," Ripley said after the intercom grew quiet. She got up and started to walk towards where she believed the briefing room was (she had only looked at the map of the complex a few times), taking a sigh of relief when she entered the briefing room and saw Yossar.

"Sir," she said, standing at the entrance as she was unsure of where to sit.

Yossar flinched again when Ripley and Santius called him "sir".

"Will you please stop that!" He barked at them, he really hated being called sir.

"Ya, we got job." He said calming down. " I'll wait until everyone is here till I tell you about it."

Ripley practically jumped when Yossar yelled at them, and quickly muttered an apology as she made her way to an unoccupied seat.

Jaroth realized the briefing wouldn't start too soon and decided to do a last check of his weapons and amps in the briefing room. He ran a diagnostic on everything and found no problems. His armor was ready to go and he had been wearing it since he arrived. He hadn't trusted the mat all when he first arrived and he was still weary, but he was starting to move past it. Combat would be where he determined whether he could fully trust them or if he had to remain constantly vigilant.

Whoa, WHOA! Here I go taking a night of sleep, and it has jumped away 5 pages. I'll be writing my sheet when I get home from school. We'll be on 10 pages then, if this keeps up.

"Maybe it is for the better there are only a few of us, a small team can move quickly and quietly"

Yossar didn't like the idea of leaving any of the team behind for the first mission, but a small group may be what's best.

" I'll give them a few minutes, then I'll start."

Finally everyone filed into the debriefing room. Yossar turned on his omni tool and brought up a picture of an Asari.

" Alright, our job is to find Heira Lon, thirty years old, Asari/Volus. She disappeared three days ago, last seen by her parents leaving to spend a night out before her Xeno-biology final. By all accounts, a perfect little girl, besides being shy everyone said she was kind, and exceptionally bright. Our first order of business is to try and find out were she went with her friends, both of which have gone missing as well. For this job and future operations I'm going to split us into teams.

Me, Ripley, Sal, and Jaroth, will make up Hades squad.

Harel, Marcin, and Sindri will be Hermes squad.

Finally, Grexec, Santius, Dimir, and Nathan, shall be Zeus squad.

Right now, Riply, Santius, Dimr, and Jaroth will go investigate the girls home for evidence. Any questions?" Yossar finished scanning everyone.

"I have no questions Yossar," Ripley said while looking over info they were given.

"I have no questions about the mission. Sounds easy enough, search the home for any and all evidence regarding the disappearance. Then we decide what we shall do from there." Jaroth said without looking up from the brief of the mission.

" Go ahead Santius better safe than sorry, and it shows that we mean business. If that's all then let's move out," Yossar lead the team out of the briefing room and to the armory to collect their gear. From there they got in a pair of transport shuttles that carried them to a higher end part of the city. They found their way to the clients' apartment, and Yossar stopped them before they entered.

" Now remember, were hear to find any clues as to were the daughter went the night she disappeared. And Santius, don't say anything that will make the parents take the job away from us, otherwise, well you know how us army guys have a thing about never letting people do the same thing twice?"

With that Yossar knocked on the door.

"Hello," said the particularly timid Volus on the other side, "A-are you the investigators?"

"Yes we are, may we come inside Mr. Lon? We have some questions to ask you about your daughters." Yossar asked politely. [small] "One last thing, Jaroth, Dimir, and Santius, go into the girls room and see if you can find anything, Ripley, you and I will talk to the parents.[/small] Yossar whispered to his team.

"Yes pleas come in." Mr.Lon said opening the door for the group to enter.

Inside was a large luxurious apartment, however it showed obvious signs of grieving. Bottles of alcohol were out, the place didn't seem to have been tidied up in a while, and an finally an Asari, assumably the mother, sat on the couch with tears dried on her face.

"I really don't think bringing guns to a civilian home is a good idea," Ripley told Santius before quickly adding, "Unless we're ordered to of course. Then I don't really have a problem with it."

ERGH, I take too long to type!

Ripley nodded to Yossar, following him into the apartment. Her mandibles twitched slightly as she looked around the room, catching the scent of alcohol before she saw the bottles. She took a seat on the other side of the couch, moving a box of tissues on the table closer to the crying Asari.

Jaroth waited until the family was out of sight to move into the room and quickly set about searching for anything that had been recently disturbed in the room. Training and Biology helped him to see if there were any differences in brightness of color or wrinkles that could indicate use of anything in the room. Luckily dust was always a problem for cleaners but a help for anyone searching for disturbances.

Dimir sneaked into the the girls room with Jaroth and Santius, "First thing I'd search for is a diary or notes, maybe something that will tell us the motive for the kidnapping, of course assuming this isn't just your run of the mill ransom kidnapping".

Jaroth replied while looking through the room.

"Disturbances of items, lack of dust on an object, files on computers, dates, names, numbers, anything on a computer with numbers. If anything seems to have been moved check it then place it back exactly where it was. Also be on the look out for possible hiding places, loose flooring, shifted mattress, sheets, pillow, blankets, anything of that nature. Wardrobe especially useful, specifically pockets, check all of them turning them inside out, make sure nothing falls out or stays inside. Basics to watch for. Remember we are dealing with a fairly young girl, not trained operative, sometimes most obvious is best answer." He said as he moved clothes around.

Ripley:

The Asari reached for a tissue to dry her eyes.

"Thankyou." Mrs. Lon said, her voice weak. Mr. Lon came by to comfort his wife, he looked at Ripley and even through the mask Ripley and Yossar could feel the small amount of hope Mr. Lon felt.

"You can find her right? You can find her and bring our baby back?" He asked Ripley.

Jaroth:

Jaroth was alert enough to notice something, on the pockets of the some clothes, particularly the flashier and more expensive one, there were smudges of ink, the kind they stamp your hand with when you enter a night-club.

Dimir:

While scanning the data-pad Heira used as a Diary you notice an anomaly that her parents would have missed, a hidden layer of encryption.
