We Now Return to the Fight Currently in Progress...
Katya Rostikova | Ruby Babbage-Lovelace
[hr]

Ruby Babbage-Lovelace pointed a rather confused expression at the woman known as Miss ARES-35 but remained silent through out her rant and subsequent beating of the man known locally as "That Oklahoman Asshole." A single punch was all it took to bring down the mammoth was moonlighted as the town bully. Between the dislocated jaw and the concussion that he'd be diagnosed with later in a Hospital Emergency room, it would be some time before he decided to attempt to force a drink on anyone, particularly anyone claiming to be a member of the Rising Dawn.

"We'll be leaving now, thank you. I warned you about that hospital stay." The woman stated in a voice filled with self assured bravado. The bipolar haired girl could only stare in awe at the display. She honestly would not have been surprised if this Miss ARES was one of the Valkyrie, a strange thought considering her reference to Mister Oberon and Fenrir.

Despite the treatment she'd suffered at the hands of the brute, Ruby could not allow him to remain in that state of injury. Gesturing towards the injured Oklahoman, the ribbons that had bound the man began to dissolve before being absorbed into his skin. A moment later there was an audible pop that came from the man's jaw as the bone was set back into place. Satisfied that there would be no lasting effects from the blow to his head, the young girl waited for Miss ARES' friend to recover from her injuries. As she did, her thoughts wandered back to what Miss ARES' reference to both Mister Oberon and Fenrir being...

"(Mythology?)" The thought came absently to Ruby's mind as she looked about the room, seeing the other patrons brutalize each other, "(But Mister Oberon is real and Fenrir... Mommy Titania used to let me visit him all the time, though it wasn't very easy to play with him... considering the circumstances.)

The sound of glass hitting the floor roused the young girl from her thoughts and brought her back to reality. Looking at Miss ARES' companion, Miss Katya, Ruby was amazed to see the shards of glass that had previously been embedded in the young woman's face fall to the floor.

"[color=CC8899]That's it. No more drinking... ever... ever-3ver-3v3r![/color]" Katya stated loudly as she looked at the young child that had moved to defend her after the big ox had blindsided her in the face with the mug of beer. Ruby regarded Miss Katya for a moment... or longer. There was something very familiar about this woman, though the young girl couldn't quite place where they'd met before.

"[color=CC8899]Th@nks, k1d![/color]" The woman said in a slightly bizarre accent. Though her words were distinctly English, Miss Katya had an accent that Ruby could not place. It was as if...

"AUUUUGH!!!" The young girl cried out as an overwhelming wave of pain wracked her body and sent her tumbling to the floor. Ever fiber of her being felt as if it were bring ripped apart. If felt as if all the cells in her body were suddenly dumped into a vat of irradiated acid. She felt herself becoming undone.

"[color=CC8899]Dafuq?[/color]" The Rising Dawn's Hacker Heroine cursed as she rushed to the side of the young girl and started examining her. Despite the fact that she was no doctor, Katya was familiar enough with medicine to see that there were no outward signs of injury that could have been causing Ruby to writhe on the ground. "[color=CC8899]B3WP? Little help?[/color]"

The Nano-Agent colony didn't need to be addressed. It had already begun a medical scan of the ailing child when she hit the floor, the results of which were rather confusing. There were some rather conflicting results as one internal scan reported that the young girl had no organs and another that stated that her organs were suffering from a sudden, inexplicable rupturing. Simply stated, B3WP could not determine the cause of Ruby Babbage-Lovelace's pain.

"
Code:
I am unsure as to what is occurring, Little Miss. Her body appears to be undergoing a great deal of stress. I would recommend taking her to the nearest medical facility.
" The technologically based organism integrated into Katya's body stated simply.

"[color=CC8899]No sh1t3.[/color]" The Green Haired Hacker stated as she picked up the ailing child and started heading for the restaurant's exit, "[color=CC8899]ARES, lets get her back to the ship. I think she's got a better chance there than any hospital around here, right?[/color]"

Hopping onto the VTOL, Katya attempted to care for Ruby as best as she could as they waited for ARES to take them back to the Air Ship.

Lost in History...
Rory Mercury
[hr]

"No." There was a slight pause as Naamah reconstituted herself. "That is not what I had meant. For you to speak of you I wish. Of your history you speak. To me tell. What makes Rory, Rory?"

A moment of silence was followed by an uncomfortable expression settling on the face of Rory Mercury, the former Goddess who quite literally fell from the sky (There was still a hole in the ship's superstructure that marked the arrival of the Demi Goddess). Rory's crimson eyes flicked past the waiting Naamah and regarded the crew for a moment, each one of them conversed with each other, ate with each other, bonded with each other. Sighing rather dramatically, the Emloy's Oracle turned back to the feminine black mass and smiled, though it was not the smile that was filled with mischief, it was a smile that remembered the past. One thousand years was a long time. It was several lifetimes worth of experiences... of friendships and departures.

"I wasn't always a priestess of Emloy. It wasn't until the Summer of my thirteenth year that I devoted myself to my God. In those days, the Empire was still in the process of uniting the land, as they called it. Part of their unification plans involved the destruction of many of the bandit clans that roamed the land. It was one of these bands, having been driven out of their territory, that happened upon the farm of my parents. Hungry and desperate, they attacked and took what they could, including the lives of my parents. My mother had hidden me under the floorboards of the house and told me to stay quiet. I did, even as the bandits killed a short distance away from where I lay in hiding. As they left, the bandits set fire to the lands and my home before retreating to their camp." The Woman Clad in Crimson paused, remembering the heat of the flames as it licked her skin and clothing, "Surrounded by flames, I prayed to any of the gods that would listen to me. It wasn't a prayer to be saved. It wasn't a prayer to die quickly. It was a prayer to be given another opportunity to kill the men that had done this. Emloy heard my prayers and made me his."

When Rory spoke of her God, her voice became filled with reverence, with joy, with glee. The mischief returned to her face and her eyes glimmered. Her devotion to the God of Death was absolute.

"The bandits didn't live to brutalize another family or to see their next sunrise. It was as the bandits died that I felt it for the first time, the sensation of their souls passing through my body on their way to meet Emloy, he who would judge them for the life their lead. I... may have judged them too harshly. They hadn't always been bandits. Some had been farmers like my parents, pushed off of their land by the Empire's unification efforts. They had been resisting the Empire's annexation of their lands and when they were defeated by the Imperial Legion, they retreated. Desperate and starving, they came upon my family's farm. Thinking that the food was being grown for the Empire, they burned the fields and killed my parents." There was no hatred in Rory's voice when she spoke of the men that had killed her parents, "Emloy doesn't consider killing a sin. What they were doing, they believed was for the good of their people. They were fighting a war against the Empire and my parents were caught in the middle. It took a while to come to terms with this as I learned what it was to be Emloy's Oracle. I wandered for a time, tending to the people who would become Imperial Citizens. I brought the living comfort and tended to the dead. I fought those who preyed on the weak for their own personal gain. I continued to live and do Emloy's work even as those I met started to grow old and eventually leave. There have been so many..."

Rory regarded Naamah for a moment, not speaking, silent, quiet. The young looking woman wondered what else she should share with Naamah. Would she tell the feminine black mass of her dealings with the JSDF and with Itami Youji? Would she tell Naamah of the deal that she'd made with Itami when they were tasked with defeating the Fire Dragon? Would she tell her small friend of the loss she felt when her friends passed away before her? Would she tell Naamah of love never realized

The silence broke.

"Do they serve ale here? I could certainly use one." Rory said as she attempted to flag down one of the chattering imps. The time for stories was over for the moment

Rising Dawn: Brig: Teri, Garm, Doom, Cortex, Wesker, Deadshot Vs(?) Kazuya

NOTICE: Edited as Teri was still in the room the whole time

After Teri came back, and the truth spell was cast, Kazuya then said [color=9f2c68]"...Charming, isn't she?..."[/color] in a bid to recreate the illusion he had going on, but by then Wesker was able to regain his composure, adjusting his glasses somewhat.
"I have to admit, that was a good tactic, with the drink. Almost worked."
[color=9f2c68]"...Hm...While I bet you know my intentions, I was actually trying to keep this civil."[/color]
"You expect me to believe that? Given our history?"
The dynamic in the room began to change slightly as Wesker began to lean in forward.
"Still, in respect to your..."Kindness", I'll answer your questions.

1). No. I don't know where Adel is. Last I checked you were the last one to "Have" him. Don't blame me because you can't keep track of Rugal's bastard child.

2). If you want to find Bison, you're asking the wrong person. Don't worry however, I'm sure he'll invite you to his inauguration speech.

3). Yes. It was your fault"
[color=9f2c68]"...Excuse me?..."[/color] The CEO mused in a menacing yet confused manner, as a smile began to form on Wesker's face.
"Face it Kaz, you never betrayed Rugal because you got sick of the lifestyle, of your crimes, of the power you had access to. No...you did it because what you did to yourself-"
[color=9f2c68]"Shut your goddamn mouth."[/color] Kazuya ordered as a dark aura began to radiate off him, merely prompting a fit of laughter from the prisoner.
"Ahhh, I never actually got to see the effects in person. It's a good look for you, isn't it? Suits you." He taunted, actually managing to make Kazuya stand down as he looked at the aura he was putting off.
[color=004d]"....Uhhhhh....D-d-doom is confused..."[/color]
[color=b4b4]"...So-....If it wasn't him trying to stamp out crime, then why WAS he trying to track us down for all this time?"[/color]
"Odds are you two didn't know about it. Back at the height of his power, Rugal managed to get his hands on the power of an Archangel. Problem was, it's not like he could just "Take" it for himself. There was a process involved, research to be done, lest he find his end at the hands of it. I was one of the people involved in that project, we made good headway and what we learned helped to bring in countless advancements in humanity's potential. Then Kazuya-"
Pulling out his pistol and pointing it at Wesker's head, Kazuya growled [color=9f2c68]"Don't. You. Dare."[/color], right before motioning for every guard in the room to do the same.
"Oh give it a rest. If you wanted me dead, You wouldn't have bothered getting the Rising Dawn to knock on my lab door. As I was saying: You wanted that power for yourself. You wanted to be the one in charge, You wanted to become a god...Time and time again, you were told what could happen, what it would do to you, that it wasn't ready yet. I knew it, Rugal knew it, You knew it. But that didn't stop you...did it?..."

Kazuya's hand trembled slightly before he lowered his pistol, his men glancing to each other in confusion before doing the same.
"Suffice to say, it didn't work out as you had planned. Not hard to see why, Science was never your strong suit, was it? So instead of Kazuya Mishima, God of man, we got Kazuya Mishima, The Devil of The East..."
Standing up from his spot and walking towards the bars, he looked his former co-worker in the eye before add "But it wasn't your fault. Was it? No. It Rugal's Fault. It was My Fault. It was the fault of every one except You...That your soul is now somewhere being used to wipe some demon's ass in the pits of Hell. Now, Tell me, seeing how I answered all of your questions, humor me for a moment: How did it feel?...To get your soul torn out and be so angry with yourself that you had to blame the entire world just to live with yourself?..."

Kazuya broke the stand off after hearing that, trembling slightly as he did.
Then, another first for Wesker: He heard Kazuya laugh. A Actual laugh. Not just an act or a ruse.
[color=9f2c68]"You want to know....how it FELT?!"[/color]
This seemed to actually force a rather roaring laughter out of Kazuya, right as the unease began to set back into everyone in the room.
Despite this, he tried to get his men to lighten up as he slapped one of them in the arm, causing a forced nervous laugh to sink in.
[color=004d]"...H-eheheheeeheeheheahahahahaahahhah!"[/color] Doom said as he tried to get in on the fun.

That was when Kazuya stopped laughing.

In the space of a second, he then disarmed his soldier, swiping his assault rifle before pointing it right at Doom's cell.
"WAIT! DON'T-"
[color=0E59E4]"Mr. Mishima NO!"[/color]
The sound of automatic gun fire filled the air as the CEO pumped an entire clip into the young villain's body, pinning him against the wall as blood splatters, cries and groans of pain coming out of Doom.
A unsatisfying clicking noise then followed, marking the end of Kazuya's clip as Doom slowly slid down onto the ground, making weak gasping noises though the holes in his chest before then going still.
Shoving the now empty weapon back into his guard's hands with enough force to knock him flat on his ass, he pointed to Wesker and said [color=9f2c68]"That. That right there?...That's how it felt...Clear out the cell and take care of the body. We'll resume after Dr. Wesker here has had some time to reconsider his answers..."[/color]
With his orders given, his men went about doing that, all while Wesker slid down onto his knees and saw the body of his friend get dragged out while Cortex attempted to console him.
...
"....Damn..." [https://youtu.be/nP7gwlvLp8M?t=27s] Deadshot then chimed in, his timing as considerate as ever.

Rising Dawn: Brig: Teri, Garm, Cortex, Wesker, Deadshot, Kazuya

[color=0E59E4][sub]"It wasn't supposed to be this way...."[/sub][/color]
Teri stood still. All her work, all her dealings with Kazuya to ensure the safety of the prisoners - worthless. Doom laid dead, Wesker on his knees, and Cortex attempting to ease the pain - and that was nothing to say of the information that she had just heard. But, what remained in her immediate attention was the cleaning of blood, grime, and the smell of gunpowder and burnt metal filled the air. She gazed towards Wesker, then Cortex, and shook, her voice wavering as she tried to speak, [color=0E59E4]"I-i'm sorry. [sub]I'm so sorry.[/sub]"[/color]

"....I promised him we would get out of here..."

The Cleric took a step back from the cell like she had been shocked, the horror of the situation still seeping in. However, before she could leave, she heard one of the grunts say, "Eh, least nothing of value was lost..."

And, something she hadn't felt for a very long time began to take root from within. It was like she had been pierced by an arrow of white hot flame; a spark of feeling in what had initially felt numb moments prior, and was spreading to each of her extremities. Everything that happened in the span of milliseconds was so horribly wrong right this very second, and Teri felt every urge, every fibre of her being screaming that justice be wrought upon Kazuya Mishima. Even in the recesses of her mind, Teri could hear her darker aspects screaming for blood; the blood of a man who did not deserve the moniker of "demon". No, that was too high for him. In her mind's eye, he firmly fell to being a "monster". He needed to pay, and learn.

Turning her back to the cell, Teri calmly took a water bottle out of her satchel and poured a couple drops on her gloves and boots before stowing it away again, commanded Sadei into staff form, and began a solemn chant. As she did so, she contacted Garm over the rings, [color=0E59e4]"I am going to need your help on something... Follow my lead, and after the Kaiser Wave, move for the flank."[/color]

Garm's ears laid against his head as soon as his partner spoke in his mind, but followed after her, answering quietly back, [color=356D60]"Tear-ri, what are you planning to do? You sound so... Cold. And not the good kind."[/color]
[color=0E59E4]"Kazuya needs to learn that lives have importance. I'm going to teach him this by beating him within an inch of his. Are you going to help me or not?"[/color]
[color=356D60]"....I'll help you, Tear-ri. But, I really don't think this is a good idea. The moment things get bad, I'm pulling you out."[/color]

It wasn't long before the two had approached their query. Kazuya was walking along, like this was any other day for him; albiet somewhat rattled (presumably by what Wesker had said prior). Seeing him close, Teri planted her feet as her father had shown her best, and raised her arms.
[color=0E59E4]"[sub]Kaiser....[/sub]"[/color]

"...?" Kazuya paused, noticing that something seemed... off. Were the lights dimmer than usual? And what was that prickly sensation on the back of his nec-

[color=0E59E4]"WAVE! GARM, SIC 'EM!"[/color]

A vibrant blue blast of energy collided into the back of the Japanese executive, knocking him into a nearby wall (and, to the outside viewer, they'd notice a distinct him-shaped impression afterwards). However, that wasnt' the least of his troubles. The sounds of running footsteps and... paws(?) were fastly approaching him, and before Kazuya could do much else, he could feel the distinct sensation of being thrown out into a snowstorm - despite being inside.

[color=0E59E4]"I took an oath not to kill. I'm going to make you wish I hadn't!"[/color]

Rising Dawn: Canteen Kalastryn, Ryan, Annie, Miia, Anyone else

When Ryan asked if Kalastryn would prefer to hear the explanation of what just happened, she sighed and pulled out a flask. "You know I don't mean to sound rude, but damn it Ryan how many graves are you trying to dig for yourself?" she asked as she takes a swig of it's presumably alcoholic contents, rubbing her temples in frustration afterwards as she asks, "...Alright, most pressing questions. The hell was that thing? Should we be concerned about it being here? And lastly, why the hell does it know you?" She asks, her whole tone being more along the tone of being confused and perhaps a bit depressed rather than any part offended or... displeased with any answers she would receive.

And she wouldn't have to wait long either. As they all hopped into the airship, ARES had made it a point to get their engines started up as soon as possible. After a scene like that, they certainly didn't seem to think this was a good place to hang around. As they lifted off ARES informed the three of them "Well I'm glad you've gotten a decent meal and learned a valuable lesson about alcohol. Your tolerance is, quite frankly, negative 80. That being said once we're landed it should only take me a few minutes to get fit to administer medical aid. Accounting for the short flight though, we might not have much time to get her some medical attention upon arrival so... keep practicing those theoretical parenting skills and rush her over to the med bay when we get there if you'd be so kind."

Can you feel it? It's like a heartbeat, subtle but all-encompassing. That is fear. That is hatred. That is the awakening.
Titania

Titania was shivering under her covers. The winter wind wailed outside the window. She was cold. Her heart beat unnaturally, and she felt ill. She opened her eyes and screamed, "Deborah!" Her voice as dire as the winds outside. The air was frigid. Titania twisted under her covers, panicked, her limbs got tangled in the linen - and as she struggled the constricting sheets grew tighter and tighter. With it her fear ran wild.

Deborah came running in from the room across the divider. Her nightgown was askew, red eyes glimmering softly in the light of a conjured flame.

Titania grabbed at Deborah in the dim light. Her small chest heaved with heavy breathes. She was red in the face.

"Tania, what's wrong?" Deborah's voice was hushed and somber. Her eyes were in absolute focus.

Titania's light fingers grasped lightly at Deborah's blouse. "The book, the grimoire. Where is it?"

"Here, it's here. Please calm down." Deborah handed the leather tome to Titania. Titania held it close, her hands shook uncontrollably. She fumbled with the lock until it came loose. The book opened. Words in blood ran across the cream pages. Titania held it to her chest in relief. "What is it?"

"It's... it's okay. I thought, for a moment." Titania took a few deep breathes. "It was a phenomena intervention. A huge one. I felt it in my core. I thought Amaterasu might have appeared." Titania closed her eyes. "It wasn't. Thank the lord. It wasn't."

Deborah sat down on the bed. "What was it then?"

Titania thumbed through the pages. "An awakening. An Observer's power just split away from itself. It's scope is insane. There are ripples from it everywhere. Others may soon follow." Titania stopped at the last page. "Whether or not something big comes from this is still up in the air. But the stage is set. Even without Amaterasu's intervention - and even without BlackHarte's scheming, your peers have begun awakening. Though others seek to rectify it - the changes are set in motion." Titania closed her eyes and opened them again. They were brown. They were a beautiful endless brown. Not strewn with gold flecks or ringed with green. They were not black as pitch and neither were they brilliant as diamonds. No. These were natural eyes, eyes born of sincere trust. Eyes born of sincere want. They were eyes born of a pure heart. Her hair ran brown. Gone now the sheen of white. Golden strands wove between Titania's brown locks.

"Tania..." Deborah said, in slight shock. Titania looked positively... mundane.

"A return to form," Titania answered. Her voice was steady and powerful. "Sometimes when we play make-believe, we forget who we really are."

Rising Dawn: Canteen Kalastryn, Ryan, Annie, Miia, Anyone else

"I STILL have no idea how Flowey followed me here, or for that matter ... how long it's been here. Could of arrived the moment me and Faith teleported into the bar or after our mission in stopping Wesker took place. I'm left with so many questions. In fact, what I want to know is why did Flowey reveal himself to us instead of staying hidden? Wouldn't he benefit more from keeping us unaware than notifying us of his presence??" This troubled the author, making him place both hands onto the table with his eyes closed, thinking real hard as what that flower could be possible planning.[/quote]

"......" Kala sat hunched forward with her fingers interlocked over her mouth in silence as he explained this, though as Ryan finished explaining his piece on the subject she sighed and leaned back. "Ladies and gentlement I'd like to welcome you to daily life aboard the Rising Dawn, 3+3 just might be 4, up is south and down is north... and there are about 3,000 different causes for confusion that will pass your eyes and ears day in, day out. If I had to take a guess as to why he'd reveal himself Ryan, it's because he probably wanted to make it 3,001 today. You said he enjoys messing with people emotionally, so it's only natural I suppose that one such drive to appear at this time is that if we can assume he's been here for a while, he might know of the daily chaos and furthermore be trying to add to it as a distraction from something else. Also, he seems to have a bone to pick with you, if I'm not mistaken." She says with a nod as she continues.

"He was likely trying to play mind games with us. After all your sitting at a table with three women who are powerful in their own right and... in recent events have either been in a potential combat scenario with you, or have very good reason to be agitated with you. In light of the moment he showed up and who he initially held disdain for out of the four of us- the only one I can be sure knows him he does seem rather exploitative. I think therein lies a motivation for revealing himself." She says with a snap of her fingers.

"Is he manipulative because he can't be bothered to get his own hands dirty, or simply because he lacks the hands to work with. Certainly he's mobile as he just escaped which is quite a feat for vegetation... but simultaneously we could all "take him out," as you put it, with ease should it come to it. He's likely trying to find someone to be an acting body, gullible enough to do what he wants without having to encounter anyone directly on unfavorable terms. Does that sound just about on the ball for something he would do?" She asks Ryan directly, quizzically scratching her chin.

Rising Dawn: Canteen Bar
Luke, Boss, Icarus, Cadolbolg, Caim

The bartender turned away from his patrons for a moment, giving a small cough to hide the laughter that threatened to well up in his chest. [color=eca222]"'Share a wing color with Lucifer,' hmn? We sure get the dramatic ones around here..."[/color]
However, before he could collect himself further (or in this case, try not to laugh more), Luke heard something. What could be best described as the sound of meat being thrown against the ground filled the bartender's ears, and the sickening realization filled his gut - he knew exactly where it came from. It wasn't a true "sound" in the strictest sense, no, the "sound" was something that was transferred, through a trinket he bequeathed so long ago; and spelt bad news for the bearer.

Luke took a quick swig of some water, and gave a quick [color=eca222]"I'll be right back"[/color] to his patrons, then gestured to one of the imps to tend the bar in his absence before calmly powerwalking out of the Canteen. Once he was out of immediate eyeshot, Luke concentrated on the "source" of the "sounds" in his mind and with that, the sound of something fluttering in the wind passed for a brief moment and he was gone.

Meanwhile, Caim was busy trying to comfort Icarus in his grief. However, he was taken aback at the realization he was talking to Dillon's son of all people; that explained the sense of déjà vu that had been pervading Icarus' appearance. That said however, he had to think about how best to breech the subject. He looked down to Cadolbolg for ideas, and found that the draconic creature began to speak on his own, "You know, something I hear from my friends here is that who we're born from doesn't necessarily make for who you are. I mean, Father didn't make me, but he's my father anyways, and he's the best father I could hope for!

And, my friend Ella, she's not here right now, but I wish you could meet her. She's super smart, brave, and really cool! But, she mentioned before her parents are really poopy, and give her a lot of problems; but that doesn't stop her from being really awesome. Uhhh, So I guess what I'm trying to say is - even if your dad isn't that great of a person, and just cause you're an angel-thingy, that doesn't mean you can't be a good person. You're not Dillon. You're Icarus. You should try to figure out what Icarus being Icarus means... does that make sense?"

Rising Dawn: Training Room 3:
Dolores Selmy, Angelus

Angelus tried to remain calm, despite the fact that A) She was just shot at, and B) The person who shot at her was currently coughing up blood and sobbing. Kneeling down to the shaking girl, Angelus gulped involuntarily before reaching for Dolores and shakily asking, "What... What was that?"

Slinging one of the girl's arms over the shoulder, Angelus stood up, "We should get you to the Medical Bay if your ailment keeps up.... Who are you anyway? How did you know my name?"

As she tried to help Dolores up, several thoughts cropped the dragon's mind, "What on earth is going on here? Did this girl's powers go out of control? And when did she get here?"

Katya Rostikova | Ruby Babbage-Lovelace
[hr]

ARES and Katya's VTOL cut through the night sky that hung over Texas, the lights of Amarillo fading off in the distance as the craft cut through the skies on its way towards the distant lights that marked the Rising Dawn's location. The Rising Dawn's l33t haxxxor had raided the on board medical kit and found nothing of use, considering Katya Rostikova had no idea what was going on with the young 9 year old girl that was suddenly thrust in her care.

"Accounting for the short flight though, we might not have much time to get her some medical attention upon arrival so... keep practicing those theoretical parenting skills and rush her over to the med bay when we get there if you'd be so kind." ARES said from the pilot's seat.

"[color=CC8899]Theoretical parenting skills? Are you kidding me? You're aware that my parents let the Internet raise me until I was 14, right? This kid has a better chance being raised by a pack of bath salt addled crocodiles than me.[/color]" The Young Tech Savvy Crew Member quipped as she opened up a compartment and found a refrigerator full of beer, "[color=CC8899]That god for David[/color]"

Grabbing one of the cold cans of brew, Katya wrapped the metal surface in gauze and pressed it against Ruby's feverish head. The little girl groaned but did little else. Scanning the girl, Katya saw that the black and white haired girl's temperature was still on the rise. One Hundred and Two Degrees was pretty damn hot and too close to being brain damagingly hot.

Looking through the windshield, Katya saw that they were on their final destination was still a good 5 minutes away, not taking into consideration any holding patterns they would have to endure. From what she'd been told, since the addition of the G-Corp to the Airship's crew compliment, there had been a significant increase in air traffic coming in and out of the Hanger. This made landings a little more difficult since there was actual air traffic that needed to be controlled. Patching herself into the VTOL's radio, Katya connected to the air traffic control center's radio frequency.

"[color=CC8899]Dawn Tower, Dawn Tower this is...[/color]" Katya paused for a moment to check their craft designation, "[color=CC8899]Ghost Rider. We have a medical emergency on board and require immediate landing clearance.[/color]"

"*crackle crackle* Negative Ghost Rider, the pattern is full" The Air Traffic controller responded over the radio.

"[color=CC8899]Seriously, Dawn Tower? This is a medical emergency! We need clearance, NOW![/color]" The Hacker said in a rather agitated tone.

"*crackle crackle* Negative Ghost Rider, there is an important shipment that is landing at the moment... please assume holding pattern 10 klicks out" The Tower stated before cutting the radio connection.

"[color=CC8899]SON OF A FFFFF...FARKING FEMALE FARK![/color]" Katya cursed, realizing that she was sitting next to a semi-conscious child. Patching into the wireless relay, Katya connected to the Rising Dawn's air traffic node and started redirecting the paths of other aircraft... only the cargo craft that was on a landing approach didn't alter its course. Looking at it, Katya could see the large G-Corp logo painted on the craft's fuselage. Doing a quick calculation, the Hacker determined that they had just enough of a speed advantage on the cargo craft that they could cut in and his the hanger 3 seconds before the cargo craft did. Sending the telemetry to ARES, Katya left the option to her... possibly burn in a fiery wreck or save the little girl.

Knock Knock... who's there... Death...
Rory Mercury
[hr]

The Young Looking Demi Goddess looked at large glass of bitter brown liquid as if trying to look for a hint of the future that was to come. Her only response from her beverage was the fizzing of bubbles that rose from the dark depths of the pint glass. In a way, there was a sort of ominous look to the drink whose color matched that of dried arterial blood. In another way, it was simply a drink to be consumed. Taking a sip of the ale, Rory Mercury was once again reminded why it was that the Empire was so handily defeated by a such a small detachment of soldiers. If the people of this world could craft a drink with such exquisite flavor that was unmatched by any of the Imperial offerings, it was only logical that the lethality of their weaponry followed suit.

Her companions had been silent for a time. It was more than likely that they were communicating between each other or monitoring the ship. While the technology that she'd seen aboard the Rising Dawn was far more advanced than the technology that she'd previously seen, she was aware that such things were possible. Having traveled alone for long periods at a time, she was accustomed to silence. It was just as well, since she had been lost in her memories of a past life... memories that included friends that fellow warriors that were probably no longer alive. Itami, Shino, Leilei, Tuka, Yao, Pina... these were but a few names on a long list of people that Rory had outlived.

Taking another drink of the dark draught, Rory almost didn't noticed the tingling sensation between that ran up the inside of her legs. Her cheeks began to grow flushed as the room seemed to suddenly grow a couple of degrees warmer. The Demi-Goddess found herself squeezing her legs together, the tender flesh of her thighs touching... rubbing against one another before the realization set in. Someone was dying... No... two people were dying but only one person was dying aboard the ship. She needed to find this person fast.... before... before... before she became too wrapped up in the sensation.

Reaching out, the aroused Oracle poked Naamah gently and spoke, her voice trembling as she did.

"N... Naamahhhh. Someone on this... ship... is dying. C...c..where are they?" Rory asked through clenched teeth, her eyes closed tightly as she focused on trying to maintain her composure.

Sending the telemetry to ARES, Katya left the option to her... possibly burn in a fiery wreck or save the little girl.

As soon as Katya had interfered the way that she had, ARES had... a different plan. Shutting off the radio as she inched closer, she proposed. "Well if they aren't going to let us in the Hangar with priority and there is a painfully small window of time to advance ahead by my calculations, I do see an alternative solution. If we were to set the VTOL to a stationary hover just at the opening of the hangar, I should be able to open the door and hover us in. We would be able to fit inside whereas "Ghost Rider" here would just be hovering left behind. I could work on reimbursement later but if G-corp is insistent on letting cargo in before our little acting ambulance, then I suppose the vehicle simply isn't as important." She said before turning on the radio again as she set the VTOL to hover in place at a lower elevation but ahead of where the Rising Dawn was flying, ahead of the Hangar door with the following bluff.

"Pardon her sir, I understand whatever that cargo is must be important for you to give it priority over a medical emergency. This being said we're set to hover ahead of your trajectory to slip in at the earliest possible time." Though... that wasn't quite the actual plan.

The First Lieutenant

"I..." Dolores said. She had always been a rather meek girl once you got through her outer-layer of mischievous machismo. She was neither ideal nor idealistic. She was full of flaws, full of posture, and always seeking the approval of her peers. Dolores Selmy leaned heavily against Angelus; her body trembled from a mixture of both cold and fatigue. "I wish I could... tell you." She closed her eyes, brilliant pools of green. "I... don't know what it was myself."

She paused. For a brief moment it was as if she had fallen asleep. Then she spoke, "My name is Dolores Selmy. I'm.. not sick. I just, hurt myself. I was deployed with the Heroes during the Black Mesa operation. I was a part of the advanced vanguard. David's contingent. I... passed out after we breached the main labs." She coughed, some of the blood had bled into her throat. "I'm staff here. Been here for a little under a year... I was part of the resource acquisition department, but transferred to deployment by request. While the Heroes don't see much of us... we see all of you a lot..."

Naamah quivered when she was poked. She turned her attention to Rory. "You sexually aroused are," Naamah said, "Why?" There was another uncomfortably long pause. "Something to help you I can find if desired."

Code:
"It is because something of great importance has occured."
Niflheim dropped down from the ceiling. He was smaller than he had been, most probably he had split his form to attend to multiple instances requiring his direct observation. Despite being only a small part of BlackHarte, he had taken the lion's share of responsibility from the collective. It was very noble of him - not that he'd ever recognize the fact, for he disliked the notion that he had emotions.
Code:
"There was a prisoner executed. Two other soldiers were harmed and lay dying now. None of them are part of the Rising Dawn staff. Despite this, there continues to be violence in the Prison block."
"Horrible that is," Naamah chirped.

Code:
"Silence, Fatima. This is not a time for you to interfere. I leave you as is because we have come to respect you. Do not force us to do you harm."
"Scary, scary Niflifle is."

Code:
"I can lead you there Miss Mercury, please follow me with haste."
Niflheim motioned toward the door. Several of the Rising Dawn staff had taken notice of the sudden tension in the ship and had moved toward battle-stations.

"Rory in no state to move is. Come. Help release the tension within her." Naahmah cocked her head.

[color=6c1504]"...Iunart?!"[/color]
After undoing the locks to his apartment, Inuart saw Bison in the same state that he was back at Max's place: Eating hot-pockets in his underwear (Old habits died hard it seemed).
Either way, he was grateful to see his ally once more as he gave him a welcoming hug, sighing in relieve.
[color=6c1504]"Ohhh, thank whatever mad bastard is in charge of this messed up realm. I saw what happened at Black Mesa. I didn't think the Rising Dawn would go that far."[/color] He said as he broke off the hug before closing the door.
[color=6c1504]"And what of Wesker? Did he get out?"[/color]
"He allowed himself to stay behind to cover my escape."
[color=6c1504]"...I see...Urgggg, this is not how it was supposed to go. I knew the Rising Dawn would try and stop me, but this isn't like them..."[/color] He groaned as he returned to his broken sofa, massaging his face in his hands as he considered his options.
"What do you mean "This isn't like them?""
[color=6c1504]"Attacking colleges? Invading US Military sites? They were never ones for making a modest entrance but there is no way that the weak minded scum on that ship would go this far. It's not their style. Even with Rugal at the helm, they would know better..."[/color]
"Well, they want members of our group, right? You think maybe they aren't killing them, but capturing them instead?"
[color=6c1504]"Again, if that was the case, then they wouldn't be over-playing their hand like this. I know the President claimed he had hired them to come after me, but there is no way he would be alright with this. There has to be another reas-..."[/color]

The realization hit him like a sack of bricks, there was only one man who would go this far to put him in the ground.
[color=6c1504]"...Kazuya...The Bastard is using them to do his dirty work for him!"[/color]
"He's... he's that former co-worker Wesker mentioned. The one who went off and made his own company. But if he's making the Dawn do his work, then does that mean he has an agenda for controlling America as well?"
[color=6c1504]"He wouldn't go about blowing up the country if he didn't think he could get away with it!"[/color]
"But wouldn't that be why he'd contract the Dawn? Their collateral damage is... infamous...And if there's outrage, he doesn't take the fall - they do."

Getting up off his bed, Bison paced around the room as he tried to figure out his next move.
[color=6c1504]"Shit!...Alright...So long as we can delay them long enough for the Psycho Drive to get into Orbit, it won't matter. Problem is, they are most likely heading this way now and if Kazuya is at the helm, he'd rather level the city then allow us to live!"[/color]
"So, got a plan of where to go next?"
[color=6c1504]"I'm thinking, I'm thinking..."[/color]

For several minutes, Bison paced around the room, pulling at his hair and discussing possible delaying tactics with Inuart.
[color=6c1504]"-Even with the supporters I have on the ground, they won't stand a chance against the Dawn. No, there has to be another way..."[/color] He grumbled as he looked out the window.
And in that moment, he saw his answer as he looked out at the Denver Skyline.
[color=6c1504]"...I got it...Inuart...We'll get mercenaries to fight the Rising Dawn for us..."[/color]
"You have people daft enough to consider doing that? Where on earth are you going to get such daredevils?!"
[color=6c1504]"Right here...In Denver"[/color] Bison answered as he stared out to the Global Headquarters of World Marshal Inc.

[color=6c1504]"I believe it's time we pay Mr. Armstrong a Visit..."[/color]

Rising Dawn: Brig: Teri, Garm, Elise, Rugal Vs Kazuya

It had already been a rough evening for Kazuya, first he had to lead an invasion of a US Installation ON US Soil no less, then he had to deal with 2 of the people he resented the most in his life.
That and he now had to deal with the fallout his moment of weakness cost him, he was sure he wasn't going to hear the end of that one for quite some time.
So much so he didn't even have time to consider the effects it would have had on his position and standing before they were already crashing down on top of him.
Namely the flicker of the lights as well as the surge of power he could sense building up behind him.
[color=9f2c68]"What the-"[/color]

The next thing he felt was a wall of energy crashing against his body before an actual wall crashed against the side of his face, he had been on the receiving end of that one before.
The Wild Dire Wolf now spitting what appeared to be liquid nitrogen his way? That was a new one.
While her sneak attack did take him by surprise and give Garm a good chance to leap and pounce on his target, that advantage quickly faded, right about the same time Garm felt what a roundhouse kick to the side of the head felt and tumbled somewhat un-gracefully on the floor nearby.
[color=9f2c68]"Have to admit, Ms. Bernstein...That hurt."[/color] He stated as he cracked his neck a little, both breaking off ice and knocking some iron and paint fragments out of his hair.

The Cleric then made her approach, keeping in mind her training as she went in with Sadei in staff form.
An emotionless expression appeared on Kazuya's face as he began to go on the defensive, blocking her attacks while mostly seeming to just want to humor the young woman in her vain attempts to "Defeat" him.
[color=9f2c68]"You don't expect this to actually work, do you? I've been training my entire life. I was born of battle. I was facing down seasoned warriors while you were still learning where you were supposed to take a shi-"[/color]
[color=0E59E4]"OH SHUT THE FUCK UP!"[/color] She shouted right before nailing him in the head with the tip of her staff, actually managing to break his footing a little and make him him stumble.
A look of shock quickly formed as he nursed a busted lip and a soon to be black eye, she was actually serious about this.

[color=9f2c68]"...Very well..."[/color] He then spat while the Cleric made her next move, namely aiming for a another strike to the seemingly open head.
What she got instead was a rather potent Uppercut [https://youtu.be/jz3cRbxfCKU?t=3m28s] connecting with her chest mid-swing, launching her off her feet as a faint static charge flowed though her body (Well, Faint by Kazuya's terms so maybe it might be a bit more noticable to her).
Before she could even land, her ankle was grabbed mid flight before being dragged back to Kazuya, gripping her weapon wrist to prevent a counter before blasting her into the ground with a heavy right [https://youtu.be/BTQq5BOqIPI?t=11m37s].
While he was planning a bit of a barrage of blows to the brunette's brain, the sensation of teeth gripping onto his shoulder put an end to that plan while Garm took the chance to fling him aside, tossing him into another wall.

"KAZ! KAZ! WE JUST HAD A BREAK THOUGH IN TRACKIN-.....Oh..." Violet yelped as he ran the corner, only to find his employer currently attempting to rip Garm's jaws apart.
[color=9f2c68]"VIOLET! FOR THE LAST TIME, I'M! BUSY!"[/color] He roared before slamming Garm back first into the ground.
While he had heard that message before, there was a grumble instead of a sigh from Violet before he left the scene, he was going to put an end to this before someone got killed (Bit late for that, but can't blame the effort).

Once Violet was out of the way, He then tried to finish what he started with the Dire Wolf, tackling him to ground before locking his hands around his maw, trying to crush it.
That is, until he felt something crawl onto his shoulder. Gazing over, it was a white spider that started growing rapidly, digging it's tarsus into the man's shoulders. Kazuya quickly let go of Garm in order to remove this spider, but before he could successfully chuck it off- it exploded right in his face.

Granted, it didn't blow anything off his face, let alone scar his flesh. But it sure as hell hurt, taking a blow like that. Elise came into view, slowly descending from the ceiling, a pink web supporting her foot with the other held upwards like she was holding onto rope. Getting off casually, Elise crossed her arms with a small smirk, but the eyes told a different story.

".. I could tell you a rather long speech about morality, loyalty, and responsibilities a leader should hold dear, but you're not worth my time, nor are you a leader. You know, I didn't want to believe Rugal at first, for his words were heavy- but to see the proof for myself after such short notice? Now, I find you assaulting our very own crew members of the Rising Dawn. Wasn't gunning down a prisoner not satisfying enough for you? ..."

Her smile dropped, eyes narrowing with her hands slowly lowering to her hip. Her nail-like fingers stiffened, her stance not natural anymore with the woman's back slightly hunched. She was in battle mode, taking position to ready herself.

"Doom hardly knew me, but the man trusted me despite risking his safety. He was someone I promised to look after, thinking the Rising Dawn weren't going to bring harm onto any of the prisoners. Yet, you stepped in and broke my promise, Kazuya. So, allow me to break something for you~"

She said before swaying her hand away, causing another white spider to crawl forward which slowly grew, in pulses- aiming to explode at Kazuya once more.
[color=6f2c68]"...Oh, great...[/color] Kazuya groaned as he wiped off some the spider guts off his face, he seemed to be making a lot of friends today.
The Spider was easy to take care of, nothing one of his eye blasts couldn't take care of, the main issue was it gave Elise a good chance to ensnare his leg in Webbing.
In the time it took for him to try and pull his leg free, Elise was already peppering him with strange darts, but once he saw the contents were glowing green, they didn't seem so strange.
While the toxic contents flooded his bloodstream, the spider champion took the chance to finish her cocoon on Kazuya, she was going to take her time, allow him to feel as Doom did.
"What's the matter? Is it a bit harder for someone Helpless to defend themselves?" She taunted before spraying another web at his arm while he tried to get his leg free, gasping from the poison.
"Don't worry, I give you my promise that won't hurt a little...it will hurt a lot-"

While she was taunting, Kazuya caught her off guard by pulling on her webs as she was spraying them, making her lunge forward and right into the fist he had destined for her face.
Catching her as she was reeling, he then got her in a headlock before violently punching her in her side, aiming to break a rib or two.
This was met with a rather painful poisonous bite from Elise to his mid section, hastening the burning in his blood.
Growling in pain, he knee'd her in the chest before punching her in the face finally deciding he had enough of this nonsense and pulling out his pistol, aiming square for her face.
[color=6f2c68]"...You're fired."[/color]

At this point, Rugal finally made it to the scene, grappling with Kazuya from behind as the shot went wide.
"THAT! IS! ENOUGH!" He roared as he got his former underling in a choke-hold, trying to subdue him before he killed anyone else, something that the Demonic CEO wasn't making easy.
Constantly elbowing him in the midsection as he was choked out, he muttered curses as his body got weaker and weaker, the effects of neruotoxin being what they were.
"The hell is the matter with you, I knew you were out of line, but I didn't think you were insane as well!" Rugal growled as he tightened his hold, prompting Kazuya's face to go purple from the lack of oxygen.
Right when it seemed like the situation was finally under control however, a electronic hum filled the air, followed by the cocking of a weapon.
"Rugal. Let him go..." Violet firmly said as he and The MIT Rail Gun [http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/gtawiki/images/9/9e/RailGun-GTAV.png/revision/latest?cb=20150313173541] he was holding became the center of attention.
"Violet...You don't know what you are-"
"Cortex built these to blow up Tanks. Last I checked, that tends to do the same to human flesh. I don't have great aim but it's hard to miss at this distance...That goes for you guys as well. Now Let. Him. Go."
After a moment of hesitation, Rugal relented, letting Kazuya go as he coughed for oxygen and fell on his knees.
While he was defeated, bleeding and poisoned, he still couldn't help but let out a laugh of sorts as he stood up, seeing how Violet of all people came to his aid.
[color=6f2c68]"Ahh...ahh...I knew...you were one of the good ones...You're promot-"[/color]

A large sonic boom filled the hallway as a massive blood splatter coated everyone in the room.
When their vision cleared and they could hear again, there was the sound and sight of Kazuya rolling on the ground, now minus all the muscle mass below his left bicep while screaming in pain.
Anger filled his being as he began to crawl his way towards Violet, unable to make a coherent sentence before his process began to slow, causing him to pass out from the blood loss, the poison and the pain that usually comes with getting a limb blown off.
"...I...Have always...Wanted to do that..." Violet gasped before laughing weakly, as the local G-Corp soldiers nearby finally caught wind of the scene.
"Drag his ass to medical...I want to hand him his severance packet myself when he wakes up...Also, can someone pop my shoulder back in?...These things have a lot more kick back then I thought..."
With the danger over, Rugal's priorities quickly shifted as he turned to his daughter laying on the floor.
"Teri! Teri! Can you hear me? Are you alright!?" he pleaded as he tried to get a reaction from her.

"Ryan... Ryan I'm going to ask you to breathe now, you remember how to do that right?" Kala asked as her look of confusion mirrored Miia's to perfection.

"Now Ryan this all sounds nice but... well honestly are you suggesting we report the existence of a flower aboard this airship? Now that sounds like a lovely idea, in other news, it rains on occasion and in all my years I've yet to see what would normally be a plain and simple flower bear so much cause for panic. This is not sarcasm, all I mean to say is that I have nothing to add to any conversation telling anyone about the matter. You do, but you seem a little too bothered by something to adequately explain it to us at the moment, much less Rugal or... at present time Kazuya who would likely either begin laughing at you, or he would probably shoot you for insulting him with the insistence that this isn't a waste of time. I fully believe it isn't, but good luck convincing our dear general of that." She says with a huff, getting up from the table with no uncertain amount of dissatisfaction with this turn of events

"Thank you, all of you, but I believe I'll be taking the time to get my room in a more accommodating state for now." She concluded as she turned to walk away...

only to see what- or rather who Ryan was so distracted by. Her mind was quite a bit cleaner however.
Hm, Rosy cheeks, shortness of breath... and this coming from the person that Miia threw herself under at the base. Good thinking trying to avoid Miia meeting them here Ryan, they appear to be a bit intoxicated. That could get quite a bit more awkward than the scene you made.
... Well that's a bit surprising, if he was interested in not having Miia notice her then why not... oh I don't know... act normal?
Okay he didn't spend his whole life blending in with people who would have been out for blood if he had little spikes on his forehead, subtlety is an art that's art to teach.

Seeing what she could do to help matters (as wrong as she was in her assumptions) she went over to Rory's table and asked, "Excuse me, ma'am are you- ...feeling... alright?" She stammered out before noticing just how wrong she was.

And now his question as to the temperature makes soo much more sense. Should we go talk to him about being a-
No. First off there is very clearly something wrong here. Second, at least he's trying not to make it a problem, eh?

Clearing her throat she continues with a low volume, "Pardon me for that, my name is Kalastryn D' Zannifer, this is perhaps the most awkward situation in which I have ever met a person for the first time but is there anything I could help you with? Like... finding you some privacy?"

Rising Dawn - Training RoomDolores Selmy, Angelus

"I'm staff here. Been here for a little under a year... I was part of the resource acquisition department, but transferred to deployment by request. While the Heroes don't see much of us... we see all of you a lot..."

Angelus tilted her head in curiosity at that last line, but remained silent about the matter. While she herself hadn't seen proper staffing on the ship, that's not to say that there wasn't any. After all, with Rugal and the AIs running the humanities of the ships, it wouldn't be too hard to believe that there were others who worked behind the scenes (sans the imps). Who else did the laundry, or handled their food supply?

Helping Dolores to her feet, Angelus decided to speak up properly, "Well Dolores, based on what I am seeing with my own eyes, you look like you need a trip to the Medical Wing of our ship. How can you hope to fight on the ground if you're sick?"

She grabbed the guns with her other hand as best she could, their bulky forms awkward in her hands before she handed one of them off to the First Lieutenant, "Now, while we're getting over to said Medical Wing, I need you to stay awake for me. Can you do that Dolores? How about you tell me how you got here? What drew you to a dangerous place like this?"

And thus began the dragon's slow journey of maintaining another's weight, as well as trying to keep them alive for some period of time...

Rising Dawn: Brig - Connecting Hallway: Teri, Garm, Elise, Rugal, Luke, Violet, Kazuya

As the chaos from the aftermath of Kazuya, Teri, and Elise's fight took over the hallway, Luke materialized around the corner; the sound of fluttering muffled in all of the noise going on in the main chamber. To his dismay, his fears were confirmed. He saw Teri laying on the ground, her wolf weakly limping towards herself and the man she called her father (who seemed to be trying to shake her awake).
[color=eca222]"Looks like I was too late to be any good...But perhaps I can nudge things in the right direction..."[/color]
Straightening his appearance again, Luke began power-walking towards the little gathering and pulled the glove off his right hand, [color=eca222]"Just a moment - moving a patient with head trauma can lead to a worsening of their condition."[/color]
Rugal blinked in surprise at the bartender's voice, before pointing accusingly and saying, "Wait-...I know that voice...You?!"
[color=eca222]"Not. Now. Let me do this first."[/color]
Bending on one knee, he placed a hand on the Cleric's forehead and concentrated - a faint white glow appearing for a faint moment before dissipating. Time stood still for what felt like eons, before Rugal began to notice a surge of Aura from the Cleric again. A hacking cough came from the young woman, before she sat up with a gasp and a flailing arm, crying out [color=0E59E4]"KAZUYA!"[/color] before beginning to fall backwards towards the floor again in fatigue.

However, instead of fearing further attack, she was caught by a familiar bartender with blonde hair. Blinking in confusion, Teri saw that she wasn't still being pummeled by the angry Japanese executive at all. Rather, that she was surrounded by her Father, Luke, and Garm; who looked the worst for wear. And it was about that moment when the pain from everything that happened kicked in. Teri bent over with a grimace, holding her stomach as she leaned into her support, who in turn gently spoke [color=eca222]"Easy now, you just had a very rough fight. I had to jump-start that healing ability of your's so you'd wake up. So, give yourself a few minutes to recover and relax. You're safe now."[/color]

By that time, Garm had wandered into the radius of Teri's Aura and laid down next to the group, panting from the recent trial he and his partner went through. Taking note of those around him, the wolf allowed himself to drop his guard, and weakly spoke, [color=356D60]"I told you this whole thing was a bad idea, Tear-ri. I'm sorry I couldn't get you out fast enough though..."[/color]

As The Heoroes gathered around Teri while other dragged the unconscious Kazuya the the medical bay an eerie silence swept over them, As Teri;s body went cold and her aura flickered out a chilling emptiness filled the room as if something had taken the heat and air and as Luke arrived the Fallen angel could clearly see a set of spirit creatures two ravens, probably emissaries of the afterlife, announcing the coming of their Master, whom planned on taking Teri's soul and ferrying it to the after-world.
[color=eca222]"Not. Now."[/color]
The Raven's Ignored him and hopped closer hopping around the living bodies but not at all bothered by them as the living could not see such creatures let alone stop them. one the them got close to Teri real close the bird was almost as big as the girls head it leaned in close as Luke Transferred his energy into her in an attempt to save her. The raven cawed loudly, it was a distress call, he had clearly broken the rules.
When Teri bolted awake the birds look flight, cawing while the departed as if cursing.
[color=eca222]"Easy now, you just had a very rough fight. I had to jump-start that healing ability of your's so you'd wake up. So, give yourself a few minutes to recover and relax. You're safe now."[/color]

"You shouldn't have done that Light Bringer." shifting his eyes slightly so no one would notice Luke saw the source of the voice a tall man in rich robes like that of a king, wearing a long black cloak the hood had been pulled down, a black mask in the shape of a crows face. he was holding an oak staff and strapped to his waist were two swords. This was The Raven King, on each of his shoulders was a large Dire Raven, the two spirits from before.
"I am the Guardian and guide of the spirit world, And it is my duty to offer the chance at life their struggle is to be with me for I am night that they not go gently to, I am the Dying light they ought to rage against."

Rising Dawn: Canteen Bar
Boss, Icarus, Cadolbolg, Caim

Icarus had luckily stopped himself from crying but still felt more or less pretty bad, as old feeling of guilt were seeping in.

"You know, something I hear from my friends here is that who we're born from doesn't necessarily make for who you are.

Icarus smiled the tiny turtle Dragon was surprisingly sweet, a small smile spread across his lips.
"Hmm, I suppose you have a point, My dad had a bad rep but he isn't the same guy that the people on the Dawn knew, He was always kind and Noble from when I remember him, he would do anything he could to protect the ones he loved, and that's how he died...
He shook his head, he couldn't dwell on that forever it wasn't his fault... was it?
"And Who cares if I'm a fallen Angel Like that one women Kalastryn she's a devil, and she's not like her kind. Anyone who wants to fight with me because of my Dad, Fine we can have a go and I'll follow My dad's old rule when it comes to truth or an ass Kicking, if you ask for it I gotta give it to ya." he Smiled, The Alcohol was probably why he was so quick to switch mood also considering Dillon was his father It was possible he had a similar temperament.

The Escapist Avatar Adventures | Airship: Rising Dawn | Hanger
The Right of Way...
Katya Rostikova | Ruby Babbage-Lovelace
[hr]

The Airship Rising Dawn loomed largely outside of the VTOL's troop entry door, dominating the horizon on the starboard side of the hovering aircraft. While the massive craft was much slower than a passenger airliner, the Rising Dawn's Hacking Heroine could not help but think of the slow but inexorable advance of a glacier ... except made of reinforced metal plating. While part of Katya Rostikova wanted to scream at the situation that she found herself in another part wanted to scream her partner in crime, ARES-35, and ask her what in the hell she thought she was doing in regards to parking such a small craft in front of much larger and more massive one. In the end, the Green Haired Booze Hound could only stare as the hulking Airship made a hard starboard turn as the VTOL's radio was filled with the angered rants of G-Corp bridge crew, the G-Corp air traffic controllers and the G-Corp pilots at the helm of the inbound cargo transport.

Much like the fabled fear an elephant holds towards a mouse, the Airship's bridge crew made the emergency course corrections not in an attempt to spare the lives of ARES, Katya and Ruby but to minimize the damage a midair collision would have caused. Despite the size differential between the two craft, it was still highly probable that a VTOL Transport fully laden with fuel and ammunition would be able to cause significant damage to the freshly repaired hanger, causing further delays to the Kazuya's expected delivery.

"[color=CC8899]K3wl.[/color]" Katya muttered as the hull of the Airship rushed past the VTOL, missing the smaller craft by a few inches. Standing at the open door to the aircraft's troop hold, Katya watched as the hanger came into view. Staring at the open interior, the Rising Dawn's Resident Drama Queen waved weakly at a deck hand that sat behind the wheel of a forklift, "[color=CC8899]Hi...[/color]"

Now that the scary part was over, the even scarier part of Operation Save the Munkin's Life was about to begin. It was at this point in the procedure where Katya had jump out of a perfectly good VTOL and land on the hanger deck without plummeting to her doom. Bending over, the Violently Green Haired Woman picked up young Ruby Babbage-Lovelace with a slight grunt, cradling the black and white haired girl before backing up to the other side of the VTOL. Slowing her breathing down, Katya calmed herself down while simultaneously psyching herself up for the leap.

"[color=CC8899]One... Two...THREE!! DAMMIT ARES, I HATE YOU![/color]" The Rising Dawn's Stunt Woman screamed as she ran from one side of the VTOL to the other, leaping out the side at the last possible second.

*TH-THUNK!*

The sound of boots hitting the hanger deck echoed off the metal walls of the hanger causing the deck hands to look up from their work, and coincidentally causing the hanger to become unnaturally quiet for a moment, their eyes locking on the young woman who had just "landed" in the hanger without benefit of aircraft or flying powers. The pause lasted for only a single moment before the hanger resumed its normal hustle and bustle, the sight of a person landing on the hanger deck was not an uncommon occurrence after all.

Not waiting for ARES-35 to follow suit, Katya quickly patched into the Rising Dawn's wifi and sent ARES a message.

Text Message for ARES said:
To: [email protected]
From: [email protected]
Subject: Meet me at the MedBay!
With the message sent to ARES, Katya now needed to send a message to the ship's medic. Still patched into the ship's wifi, the Rising Dawn's Resident hacker hacked into the intercom system and started running in the direction of the Infirmary.

"[color=CC8899]Ship's medic to the Infirmary. Ship's medic to the Infirmary! We need you there, STAT![/color]" Katya's voice said over the ship wide intercom, the calmness in her voice belying the serious nature of the emergency.

The Escapist Avatar Adventures | The Rising Dawn | Canteen
Thanks but no thanks...
Rory Mercury
[hr]

As the fighting in the brig intensified so to did the sensations that had overtaken Rory's body. The sound of Rory's nails scoring the polished wooden surface of the table the sat in front of her was barely audible over the chatter in the Canteen as word of the brig brawl spread throughout the assembled crew members. Through the clutter of pleasurable haze that threatened to drown out all other thoughts in her mind, the Oracle heard the words passed between the assembled crew members.

"Executed him..."
"... right in the face... mask... whatever..."
"... went down in the brig..."

"Rory in no state to move is. Come. Help release the tension within her." Naamah said, her head cocked to the side.

Standing up, the Priestess leaned heavily on the haft of her Halberd as her legs threatened to buckle underneath her and shook her head. Once upon a time, Rory Mercury would have taken up the offer of having her tension released, however, this was long ago... with a different person.

"N... no thank you, Naahmah. I... have to get to ... the Brig." Rory stated as she headed to the Canteen's exit. Once in the corridor, the Berserker Loligoth could hear the sounds of a skirmish echoing down the metallic corridors. Sensing the opportunity for a different form of release, Emloy's Oracle's started running, the tip of her tongue running over her red lips as she anticipated the opportunity to dispatch another enemy into her god's embrace. As Rory the Reaper rounded a corner a thunderous cracking was heard, one similar to the sounds that the JSDF's Phantoms would make when they broke the sound barrier... and then... it was over. The tingling between Rory's thighs stopped, the heat that she felt in her abdomen and the flushed feeling she felt in her face ceased. The realization of why the sensation had ceased appeared a moment later in the form of two men hauling a body down the corridor coming from the direction of the brig. Seeing Doom's corpse, Rory's journey to the Brig started once again, this time backed by a sense of anger.

She arrived, moments later and took in the scene. A man, Kazuya, la on the ground. Though his wounded appeared severe, they did not appear to be life threatening. Nearby was an empty cell that contained no prisoner, only a pool of blood.

She took in the scene and understood what had happened. The man, Kazuya, had shot the prisoner, Doom. The sight of Doom's body brought back memories of the battle of Italica... and the realization that Empire had taken prisoners during their raid on Ginza. It was people from this world that had brought the concept of humane treatment of prisoners to the Special Region. It was people from this world that had taken great offense to the taking of slaves. It was... Itami... that had assault the Emperor's own son when it became known that a citizen of Japan had been taken as a slave by this man and brutalized.

Seeing Violet standing in the corridor, a weapon of some form in his hands, Rory spoke with barely contained anger. Striding forward, she twirled her Halberd before sinking the tip in the metal floor, the large blade positioned to tear through the wounded executive's jugular.

"[color=CC8899]Why?[/color]" The Young Look Girl clad in Crimson and Black asked as looked at Doom's shattered body. Prisoner or not, she wondered how the Rising Dawn could allow such inhumane treatment of those who were under their care. It was unjust.

The flesh is willing, but the mind is weak.
BlackHarte

Dolores spoke softly but with vigor. Her eyes shone with life despite her ailing form. The very nature of her existence was rebellion. Rebellion against fate, against authority, against society, but most importantly - against herself. Their steps echoed through the metal hallways. The training rooms were muffled within a cradle suspended within the secondary cabin of the airship. It was immune even to the tremors of battle. In that isolation Dolores' voice echoed. She had a kind voice, high and sweet, but unsure. It warbled between genuine happiness and insecurity between each word. "My mother," she had began, "she is a Major in the Air Force. After I graduated high school I bounced around jobs an never really settled down. There was nothing that really ever captured me, I was always an outsider. Not even a year after I had graduated I decided to enlist in the military. It was at my mother's urging.

The military paid for me to go to college - so I did. After I graduated - I was only there for three years - I was assigned to an airbase in California. It wasn't a bad life, but again I felt out of place. My mother was super-professional at work, so I didn't really get to see her much, but the others always saw it as some sort of nepotism. I wasn't well liked."
Dolores gave a weak but good-natured laugh. "I don't think it helped that I was always sort of clumsy. I was never very good at office work. My memory isn't very good, and my athletic ability wasn't the best. In the end my commanding officer made me his secretary because it was just easier that way. I met Molli there. She was part of RED HORSE. She was so skilled, well-mannered, and most of all well-liked. Though she didn't have any combat experience she was cool under crises and could work machinery better than anyone!

Then about two years into service... I... I uh, well..."
There was a pause. Dolores wasn't looking at Angelus anymore. She held her eyes forward. Her mouth was slightly agape. Their footsteps echoed in the absence of words. "I walked in on something I shouldn't have." The silence afterwards was grim but brief. Dolores continued the story with a shadow of her former vigor, "I was discharged immediately following that incident. My mother was furious, but she couldn't do anything about it. With how bad my record was, I was lucky that it didn't turn out to be some definition of treason. Molli quit after she heard.

We spent a while drifting together. There wasn't much - but we were together. And somehow Molli was always able to pull through even the toughest times. She was everything to me. We were in Los Angeles when Molli came in with a recruiter. He was a tall man in black - I don't fully remember his face - but he had an awful smile. It looked like he was forcing himself to smile to mask his sadness. He said that if we were willing, he was looking for ex-military to join an organization. An international community of individuals dedicated to preserving the safety of the world. More or less it turned out to be the Rising Dawn.

We had always heard of it, the heroes, but never had I imagined that you - all of you - had an organization behind you. I was ecstatic. I could have somewhere to belong to again. I could be independent again. So I joined. It was only later did I find out that the headquarters was this airship. I had expected to be working in an office or something like that - imagine my surprise when I was brought aboard."
Some light had returned to Dolores. She seemed fond of the Rising Dawn. "And the more I spent time here the more I felt amazed at how strong the heroes are. How brave the Rising Dawn is. Slowly and slowly I wanted to help more, I wanted to be a bigger part of it. So two weeks ago I applied to be transferred to deployment. I was granted my wish."

Dolores leaned close to Angelus as they approached the Medical Wing. The young woman seemed to be at peace with herself. In the midst of her story, neither of the two noticed that Bolverk had vanished. Frantic footsteps filled the hallway. Katya Rostikova came careening into the med bay with a young girl in her arms.

There was a pause. Dolores' breath caught in her breast. For a brief moment she made eye-contact with the girl being carried into the medical wing. The small, frail creature with white-black hair who in her dying nature clung to a familiar book. Dolores was incredulous. She swallowed as Katya skidded into the wing and continued frantically forward.

Dolores could not move. Her heart had leaped into her throat.

"I know that girl. That was... that was... that was..." she muttered, "that was Ruby..."

Rising Dawn: Brig - Connecting Hallway: Teri, Garm, Elise, Rugal, Luke, Violet, Rory Kazuya

"You shouldn't have done that Light Bringer. I am the Guardian and Guide of the spirit world, and it is my duty to offer the chance at life. Their struggle is to be with me, for I am night that they not go gently to, I am the Dying Light they ought to rage against."

Unbeknownst to Rugal and Garm, a new visitor approached the Devil and the Cleric. Following the Raven King's criticism of Luke's action's, the Devil-in-Disguise unconsciously tightened his grip ever-so-slightly around his charge's form. Looks like he arrived just in time after all - he had a psychopomp on his doorstep, and another one had just arrived to interrogate Mishima. Was he going to have to start beating them off with sticks? Carefully moving his eyes towards the offending Raven King, Luke resisted the urge to tell him to bugger off right then and there; instead he elected to begin the conversation in this sort of "halfway zone" the Raven King occupied, [color=eca222]"Last I checked, this girl's soul belonged to someone much higher than you. Of all the ferrymen I was expecting, you weren't one of them. Tell me, Dillon how did you manage to beat old Azrael to the punch? Steal his powers too?"[/color]

A healthy dose of venom accompanied those words, before Luke's face slowly shifted to a faint, if somewhat smug, smile, [color=eca222]"Admonish me all you want, she wasn't completely dead yet. Plenty of time for a random act of benevolence to shift the course of her path. I just happened to be here. Besides, why would I willingly give you something I plan to make mine?"[/color]

A voice rang over the PA, as 'Luke' continued his little chat with The Raven King, "[color=CC8899]Ship's medic to the Infirmary. Ship's medic to the Infirmary! We need you there, STAT![/color]", but it would remain somewhat fruitless with the main medic currently healing herself. Almost on cue, the girl being talked about groaned, and her eyes opened again, looking up towards the man holding her with a confused expression, [color=0E59E4]"Luke? What are you - what's-?"[/color]

Luke's expression softened briefly at the Cleric's words (after all, part of his audience didn't know he was speaking to a psychopomp not five feet away, and they certainly didn't need to at that very second), and he gestured his head towards Rugal, [color=eca222]"Hey, I shouldn't be the one you're talking to. Your father's worried about you.[sub]And you writhing in my lap isn't helping him feel any better.[/sub]"[/color]

[color=0E59E4]"D-dad's here? Dad?"[/color] Her gaze moved till it found a familiar shade of red, and the Cleric shifted her position to face Rugal, [color=0E59E4]"I- I'm sorry. I screwed up- I screwed up big time."[/color]

Rising Dawn: Canteen Bar
Boss, Icarus, Cadolbolg, Caim

Cadolbolg hovered a little while listening to Icarus' thoughts on the matter, and gave a little nod, "That sounds lot like what I said, so that's good! I think.."
Code:
"What you said was perfectly fine, son. Though, I wouldn't go around calling Kalastryn a 'Devil'. I don't think she'd appreciate that."
"Really? Yaaay~!" Cadolbolg jumped up in the air, and it was at that point he reverted back his normal size - so instead of simply jumping, he resumed to beating his little wings to stay airborne.
"So yeah, you should be you, and if you're an alright person - it should work fine!" The tiny turtle dragon paused before looking at Icarus' hair and feathers. They looked rather soft... Caim could only shake his head in amusement, he knew what was coming - "Can I sit on your head? Father says I can only do it if I ask first."

While the whole spectacle was amusing to Caim, another question struck his mind. Taking a thoughtful sip of his drink, his PDA continued to speak,
Code:
"If your father's Dillon... Why did he send you here? Is this one of those 'you need to journey to mature' things?"
Rising Dawn: Medical Bay - Front Door: Angelus, Dolores

As Dolores relayed her story, Angelus gave small "Hmn."s and "Uh huh."s throughout, the polite but affirming way of showing one's interest in a story. However, with it over, the dragon-in-human-form spoke her thoughts aloud, "It's strange, I've been on this ship for a couple years now, and while we have the kitchen staff via the Imps and perhaps a few robotic workers, I don't recall ever meeting human staff members. Do your lot just hide in the nooks and crannies of the ship when we're not looking?"

However her attention to that line of questioning was drawn further when Katya and Ruby rushed into the Medical Bay, as well as Dolores' recognition of the latter, "'Ruby'? I take it she's another friend of your's? I swear, all these employees are crawling out the woodwork... Come on, you can tell me while we get you to a bed."
While Angelus was pushing Dolores further in a seemingly nonchalant manner, Dolores could sense that perhaps the dragon was being more kind than she initially let on - after all, she was emphasizing the motion of getting Dolores to some medical care.

Rising Dawn: Brig: Teri, Garm, Elise, Rugal, Violet, Rory, Lucifer, Dillon, Kazuya

After hearing his daughter's remarks, Rugal held her close before saying "Nononono, it's alright. It's over now.", trying not to let his emotions get to him but failing in that respect.
As he held her, his glance shifted to Lucifer, or "Luke" as he knew him, though the relief of his daughter's return to the land of the living, there was still a rather tense expression on his face, there was something about having Teri's former/current(?) lover lying to his face this whole time that rubbed him up the wrong way.
"Not necessarily love. While it may of been hasty of you to strike Kazuya without planning, you did what your heart felt was justified. I for one, believe he had it coming regardless of the timing. Because, if you had not made the first move, I probably would have."
"I incline to agree. I made the mistake in thinking that Kazuya was going to be rational about this or at least prioritize stopping Bison before petty revenge. Clearly I misjudged him..." He then sighed as he looked over to the near-comatose Kazuya laying on the ground nearby.

As to be expected, there was a flurry of confusion along the G-Corp staff following Kazuya's defeat.
While he wasn't "Officially" in charge, the nearby Soldier's did follow Violet's command, mostly because leaving their "actual" boss to bleed out on the ground doesn't tend to reflect well on their resumes.
Least until Rory seemed intent on finishing the job, her weapon posed to slit the Demon CEO's throat and end him there.
This went down about as well as expected, namely several weapons being pointed at her while Kazuya barely moved despite Rory's attempts to question him, getting hit with a Railgun at that distance while having a lethal neurotoxin in your blood tends to do that.
Though it pained him to leave Teri's side, he gently let her lay before moving up to the Young Envoy, firmly gripping her weapon and saying "Leave him. He's in no state to talk. Not now anyway. Bring him to the medical wing and after he becomes stable, I want him sedated before he attacks anyone else on this ship. If he lays so much as a finger on anyone else, I'll gladly repay the favor to your entire detachment. Do I make myself clear?..."

Once his command was made, Violet confidently relayed his statement with a confident "...Ummm...What he said...Come on! You want to get fired when he wakes up!?" before the soldiers did just that, lowering their weapons and quickly taking their wounded paymaster away before he bleed out entirely.
Turning back to Rory, he then let go of her weapon before adding "I assume you know what happened then?...I wish I had an explanation that would make this entire mess better...but I don't...Kazuya Mishima was aiding us in an operation to stop a power mad psychopath from taking over one of the largest countries in the world. I knew he had personal history with the subjects we were detaining, but I didn't-...no...I "Choose" to believe that he wouldn't let his emotions get the better of him. But I was wrong and now someone paid the price...I'm not sure if this is of any comfort to you, but I'm sorry this came to pass..."

Back with Violet, he stumbled a little as he nursed his shoulder, going so far as to drop his weapon as he did.
"[sub]Ooohohohohohhhhh, this is so much more painful then it looks in movies...[/sub]" He whined as he stomped his foot to distract himself once the adrenaline wore off.
"Dr. Violet, why it is good to see you dear. I didn't think you had it, in you ... to take such action. But, I am delighted that you did so. And, but of course- Thank you as well, Rugal, for coming to my aid. Probably wouldn't be talking to you now if Kazuya had time to pull the trigger. That, and if he didn't waste time making out of place puns. Hah haa ha~"
While Rugal was a bit busy trying to explain why a Prisoner was now in the morgue, Violet was more then keen to give her attention, trying to mask his pain with his trademark "Charm".
"Well, are you know Else, I am a man of-[sub]ehuhhhh-action[/sub]...ohhh..." He answered in a bid to keep his cool, but the messages his nerve endings were sending weren't having any of it.
He then manage to regain his focus once he noticed that he wasn't the only one with a nasty wound, though Elise seemed to be taking it much better then he was, merely stating "Now that explains it..." as she saw her own blood.
"Come on, I-i-d hate to make more of a mess around here then I already did-eheheheh[sub]ehhhhhherrrrrrrr-fuccccccck[/sub]..." He said before leading the way to medical, stopping only to pick up his weapon, he might want to hold onto that.

Rising Dawn: Medical Bay: Kazuya, Angelus, Dolores, Katya, Ruby, G-Corp NPCs

While the Medical Bay had cleared up a fair bit after Teri's magic tricks, the chaos soon returned as 5 men quickly rushed in, shoving aside anyone in their way as they carried Kazuya's bleeding body into a procedure room.
They yelled orders at medical staff and even their own medics before locking off the room and posting 2 armed men, each of them looking kinda edgy.
Outside of that, services resumed as normal, now that they weren't dealing with the fallout of the Black Mesa invasion.
A Field medic was putting in some hours as repayment for his friend's treatment and soon came around to Katya.
"Right, State the nature of your medical emergency..." He asked the young Hacker as he did a basic check of Ruby's vitals.

The flesh is willing, but the mind is weak.
Dolores Selmy

"We mostly stay out of the quarter of heroes," I answered, "It's just the way that the Rising Dawn was built. Heroes generally live on the hangar-side of the ship called the primary cabin. The canteen, armory, and living quarters are located there. The training rooms are in a cradle in the second cabin. We usually keep to the far side, where our quarters, the library, engineering, and the cargo bay is located. The only time we'd ever come in contact is when we'd both be in the hangar array." I was still a little shocked from seeing Ruby, but Angelus held me up. I trembled lightly as we entered the Medical Bay. Kazuya was bleeding out in the OR and Ruby lay on a cot outside of the room.

"And Ruby..." I paused. My head hurt. "Ruby's a friend from a long time ago. Four years ago even... that she looks the same." My throat was dry as Angelus set me down on an empty cot. My head was pounding. "These days, too much has happened. Oh, my head." I put the heel of my palms on my eyes. My lip had finally stopped bleeding, but my mouth was still filled with the stench of iron. My arms felt weak and the air around me grew colder and colder. "Somethings are so hard to remember... Ruby, what did happen to you?"
