UGH! I'm terrible at this. I'm going to go ahead and let the professionals handle this from now on...

Terrible? I actually enjoy this because of what each box represents. Not lying when I say that I like the ideal, with rules applying which are displayed by actions that go with each one. You don't have to be a grand artist to still influence and move people.. it's how you make of it that defines art's meaning! So bravo I say :}

As for criticism, I would say it needs more depth. Not like over the top details, but maybe colorization and perhaps faces for the stick figures. However I must admit, I loved the box with "No Useless Text" and how you used the finish line as it's representative. That's good thinking my friend.

*AHhhhh!!!! What happened to the avatar that ISN'T wicked creepy! Bats....at least make it fly! Bats shouldn't be crawling after me like the zombie who just lost its legs!

Anyhoo, when I came up with the idea, I have it much more detailed and better looking in my head. Sadly, my artistic skills (outside the computer) is...lacking.

I will certainly give it a new coat of paint and see if it looks better. It did originally have color but some of them just looked crappy compared to the others (namely "Little Discussion" but I just could not think of a good sixth option (or a better way to show that in drawing form)).

Thanks for the tips, even if part of it was just me fishing for SOMEONE to say it was a good idea so I didn't think it was a waste of time

Alright, thanks to Caramel Frappe's constant encouragement, I have updated the "Rules" background (see a few posts above) to a much more pleasing look. Once again, if anyone has any criticism, feel free to share it since all my eggs are in this basket...

I added much more depth to each box and moved two of them because the colors mixed well with each other. I also changed "Little Discussion" because I thought that the hand-holding group looked really stupid...

If I am somehow able to best Redline5's entry (my personal "Is gonna win" guess), I'll have to find a way to fit Caramel into my acceptance speech...

That's more like it my friend, I love the colors. Plus, you redesigned the figures within each box so now they stand out more then your previous entry. My favorite is still the 'No Useless Text' box and now it's even funnier with the person being drawn as a human and all.

My only criticism is the "Little Discussions Threads" box. I understand what you were going for, but the blue figure is mainly the same size as everything else. Reminds me to much of the bathroom for males sign (lol). Not a bad thing really, just it doesn't appeal to me like a little man or the sort. Everything else, has indeed improved. I admire your efforts and if you were to win, you've definitely earned it.

I'll be honest...I hate the "Little Discussion" box. I tried having it a tiny figure and you couldn't see what it was and it looked bad with the other ones filling it. I tried a tiny figure with big figures all around and it looked way too cluttered. Maybe I just need to go over the "Forum Guideline" again and try to find me an obscure rule or something...

OT: The "No Offensive Remarks" box is much better in my opinion then the "Little Discussion" box. The picture that represents the title suits it perfectly well plus I find it all the more enjoyable because of the censor bar haha. I like it, and really I don't see anything to criticize at this point. You've done well for yourself and I couldn't be more proud because I can tell you really did try hard. Even if you nor I win this... trying was all The Escapist could of asked for from us and you did not let them down, no sir :}

I have no clue how I could have skipped "No Offensive Remarks"...I was trying to figure out a sixth rule and completely skipped over one of the more obvious rules.

Hey Nasrin! The handful of people posting in this thread are not the only few people entering, right? There have only been a handful of submissions put in the thread and that makes me sad (which I know isn't a requirement for the contest). Although maybe everyone is waiting for the 20th and then it'll be a posting frenzy...

I bet they're just worried that I'd totally steal their idea! Of course that's ridiculous...in a unrelated thing, did you get my aliens entry, my anime ying-yang and leopard, my "writing on the wall" entry, my "red sky" entry, my grey forest entry, and my lonely planet entry...all of which were totally my original creation and not stolen?

Yay finally finished my attempt. I had to scrap my designs a couple of times as they looked good in my head but poop on paper
Although by the look of some of the work already posted in this thread mine doesn't really look up to scratch compared to them

I don't even know how my account was created THAT early since it was over a year later when I actually became active. It was probably Zero Punctuation related...Hell, I've only recently become ACTIVE active in this site. I think now that I'm paying for the PubClub I feel like I have to post a lot to get me monies worth!

Knowing where is came from definitely kicked it up a bit. If others realize where it came from, this could be quite the contender...I'll have to find a way to sabotage it out of my crippling fear of losing. I wonder if I could spread a rumor that it's actually a hate slur against gamers...yes....YES....HA HA HAAAAaaaa!

Maybe I'm a bit late to ask another question since this thread has disappeared (I had to use the back door) but I'm going to do it anyway! Fight the system Tippy!

Anywho, before the actual voting starts on April 25th, will the creators be told that they are going to be in the voting? For example, if Caramel Frappe's super awesome background gets selected, will he be told on April 24th that he will be in or will we all get a big surprise come game day?
