Missed legislative opportunity in my opinion.
Yes... the customs goblins would love nothing better than to finally be able to just shoot some of the people they have to deal with...

On a side note... there are guidelines on the DAFF Biosecurity website that include the importation of human breast milk that... well, have a read:
Breast milk is permitted if it is for the personal use of infants under the care of the person wishing to import the breast milk in quantities no greater than 10 litres or 10 kilograms.
You just goddamned know something really fucked up had to have happened for them to get that specific about things.

Well. That is certainly a thing. And yeah, I kind of want to know what happened, how it happened and to whom that this needed to be written down.

Man, I can't believe @Hawki just ditched us the second the news dropped without a word.
So, I briefly logged in and saw myself mentioned. Huh.

Okay, fair's fair. I really don't want to go into details, but even if not for the site likely being on its way out, I would have ended up leaving regardless. It's really just a conflux of issues coming to the fore for me that I really don't want to get into. The TL, DR version is that I won't be posting much, if ever on the forums here for the forseeable future, nor do I have plans to join any other web community. Don't want to go into details, and I don't want to hijack the thread more than I already have.

Well that sucks, I always enjoyed talking to you and am going to miss having you around.

The short answer is that all new user accounts require mod approval to post, and we have a very effective automated spambot detector that flags up suspicious accounts prior to approval, so we'll never be in a situation like in V1 where actual forums are overrun. It comes at a small cost of making things more inconvenient for the few genuine new users we get here, but at this time in the forum's lifetime, I think it's well worth it.

On. Though I have been wondering if we should set up a separate group to keep in touch, just in case things suddenly went dark. I'm not expecting that to happen imminently, mind.

OT: I've not heard anything from up above since this whole thing kicked off, but if I do, I'll keep you all posted.
Hi JoJo, (or any other mod that can see this), can you please help me update my username? Thanks in advance!

There’s no “support” left here! Or at least that’s how’s it’s been for me trying to regain access to my legacy account. I gave up trying after a couple months or so, which would’ve been about this time last year actually.

Thanks JoJo, much appreciated!
Man, why do you even care? You haven't posted in a decade, what's even the point of changing your name on a forum that barely anybody uses?

Unless of course you are planning on becoming a regular of course, in which case, welcome back. (I kind of doubt it, though)

Fair question.
Honestly, I just miss forums and figured this one would be good to jump back into, and would prefer an updated username.

Huh, welcome back I guess then!

Sorry for the accusatory tone, but I've seen so many people who never post request the legacy badge and stuff like that and then go on not posting, and it just baffles me.

I will be surprised if you do actually manage to get your name changed, though. The forum still has a pretty good community, even if it is small, but I don't think we have any admin support anymore since it was bought by Gamurs.
