Hm, I live in the area, love geeky stuff, and have passable social skills and a fairly competent grasp of the English language. I'm going to apply for the hell of it.

Hey, I already live in Durham. Sadly, that's Durham, UK, not Durham, NC.

Oh yeah, also I'm in the middle of a degree, terrified of the thought of getting a real job, and more than a little self concious regarding anything I write...

Maybe not for me then. Not yet, anyway.

I'm certainly willing to move to the Carolinas, but I don't think I'm quite qualified enough in the "widespread geekery" category.

I would so very like the job, and I would be willing to move, but I can think of plenty of folk who could do it better than me. One day they will ask for somebody with my skill set. Then the day will be mine!

Alas, if you had offered a place for a circus skills editor, I would have leapt at the opportunity in a single moment.

Until that day, I'm afraid I shall remain here in Manchester.

How full-time is full-time because I may be willing to move my college classes to online for....no I would be too far away from my girl though. Sorry escapist. Try again in 2012-2013 after I have graduated as a Computer Scientist.

I would to work for you guys but I'm 18 so i don't believe you would hire me. I'm like the gaming, comic-book, manga, anime and web-comic nerd of my group. Plus i just started a D&D group at my college. Choices Choices, My best bet is job security, and pay.

I'd totally get right in on this if I wasn't Australian... and just left school. Ask me again when I get my diploma, eh?

If I lived in the US and had a better skill in english, I would totally apply for that job.

Seriously, I think that many of us would like to work at The Escapist someday.

Whoever gets the job, I wish you the best of luck.

Can I assume that writing about things that are both ninjas and pirates (as well as sometimes being killer robots) does not disqualify one?

Because if I'm assuming correctly, I will definitely be applying for this. :)

I'd apply if I didn't want to lose my current job. Too much room for advancement here, and I really doubt that I'd be making as much in 6 years.

Time to polish up the resume.
I back him as long as when he gets the job he keeps doing the "it came from netflicks" style reviews.

I would apply, but my heart lies in a different direction from my hobbies.

Damn you college. Haha but seriously I can't write stuff like normal stuff. If you need a someone to write a political essay about theory then I'm your man. If you need your readers to be awake at the end of the article, I may not be the one for you.
