[HEADING=2]The Escapist Recipe Book Thread[/HEADING]

Welcome fellow members to the Escapist Recipe Book!* A place where members can swap recipes, try new things and have their kitchen creations on display for the whole community to see. If you've always had something fantastic you've enjoyed cooking for yourself over the years this is the place to put it up so everyone can enjoy those delicious creations of yours.

You're allowed to put any recipe you like up here, be it simple sandwiches, to massive cooking feats fit to present to the parents. You're even allowed, and encouraged to put smartarse recipes on here for a laugh, we don't mind! (Have a look at Purple Rains Orphan Stew for a prime example of such wittyness...)

Megapenguinx [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/profiles/view/megapenguinx] is currently in the process of making a cookbook with some of the recipes featured in here, so any queries about that please let him know. ALSO, does anyone know how to host a PDF file on the internet so he is able to post what he's done? If others are able to help us out with that that would be fantastic.

Thankyou for your help with this one.

Kirosilence's Quesadillas of 6+ Orc Slaying

Ingredients.
Two Chicken Breasts (Boneless)
Two bell Peppers (Any Color)
Two Jalapeno Peppers
One Onion
Fajita Spices (Bought pre-packaged at any grocery store)
Shredded Cheese
Bacon Bits
8" Soft Tortilla Shells.

Directions.
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F, Cook chicken (I perfer grilling it but you can also cook it in the oven.) until it is completely white inside.

2. Chop bell peppers into small squares, about half the size of a D6 (Six Sided Dice for the uninformed). Cut Jalapenos into about 1/8th inch slices. Dice the onion into small bits. Combind Bell Peppers, Onion and Jalapeno in a bowl.

3. Shred cheese and place an oiled frying pan (About 2 tbs vegitable or canola oil) on medium-high heat on an oven element. Set Cheese aside on a plate.

4. Cut chicken into thin strips, place in frying pan along with the contents of the bowl (Bell Peppers, Onion and Jalapeno.)

5. Fry the above mixture for ten minutes, adding the Fajita Spices gradually as they cook, and stirring often.

6. Lay out a pan, cover it with tin foil and spray with PAM to prevent sticking. Lay a Soft Tortilla Shell on the pan, cover half of it with cheese, then a layer of the mixture in the flying pan, followed by another layer of cheese and a sprinkling of bacon bits. Repeat until there is no room left on the pan or desired amount obtained.

7. Place pan in the oven, cook for 10-15 minutes at 350 degrees F.

8. Divide up the spoils, and enjoy!

For extra spiciness, double the number of Jalapeno Peppers.

Moocher Casserole
Find something meat or starch-based in the fridge.
Find some vegetables, preferably from same fridge.
Put meat/starch-based food in a bowl, then add vegetables.
Cover with cheeze.
Put in microwave or oven until hot. Make sure cheeze is thoughroughly melted.
let it cool for a few minutes.
Enjoy.
Escape from house through back door, I mean come on, why are you raiding some stranger's fridge?

Here is the link [http://www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail137.html]. There is an easter egg at the end. If you click on one of the words a picture of the drink appears.

Raving's Lazy Sandwich
Find peanut butter, some form of fruit or mutliple fruits (preferebly non-citrus), and bread.
spread the peanut butter on the bread.
slice up fruit to fit it on the sandwich.
Eat n' Enjoy. That is unless you picked some weird fruit.

Ive used mangos, bannannas, apples, oranges (hence the reason I said no citrus, it didnt work well), and avacado (ie guacamole, which was alright).

Oh oh oh! Nice idea Inverse!

Cauliflower Soufflé!

Necessities:
- 3 eggs
- one cauliflower
- 2 large, or 4 smaller potatoes, or something in between
- about 0.3 to 0.5 liter of yoghurt (no sugar, preferably the yoghurt you can find in big buckets in some turkish shops, no 'diet' yoghurt)
- your favorite herbs add them in the sections with a '*'
- a bit of butter

Preparation:
- Cook the cauliflower and the potatoes until they are done.
- *Mash the cooked cauliflower and potatoes, into one mashed substance, add a tiny bit of cooking water for lubricants.
- Separate the egg yolk (yellow stuff) from the white for all eggs.
- *Lightly butter up a baking pan with a large surface, and bake the yoghurt, until most of the water is vaporized, and you end up with a grainy cheese-like substance. Make about 0.4 liters of it, and let it cool in the freezer for about 10-15 minutes.
- Mix the baked yoghurt with the egg yolk.
- Mix up the egg white, until it's like a stiff, foamy substance.
- Pre-warm your oven to about 175 degrees.
- *Mix up the mashed cauliflower&potatoes with the yoghurt, and afterwards carefully add the stiff egg white.
- Butter up an oven dish, or several oven-resisting dishes, and add the mix in it, place it in the oven, and let it stay for about 30-35 minutes.

Serve with fish or meat to your choosing, and enjoy your meal!

Note: Making soufflé requires patience and experience, and hence I didn't exactly succeed before, but it still tasted nice!

Can a honey sandwich really be that good? To like, orgasim over? I thought that was reserved for the chocolate food group only.

Just try it dude. That was all I ate one day. Sure prep is a bit on the long side, but it is totally worth it.

I live by myself, I'm used to cooking. I shall have to do so. First I'll need to invest in some bread... and probably some honey as well lol.

Devils Eggs- just the ingredients because I eye out how much I use
3 eggs

finely chopped parsley
Habanero sauce
squirt of horseradish
a small amount of beef carnita's seasoning

basicly mix it all in a bowl, and pour it into the pan.
