PS, For anyone who would like a taste of what Dubstep is if they are unaware, this is a good example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZMfhtKa-wo
To me it sounds no different than any other pop music.

Really liked the first 50 secs of that video. After that....no. But well done for being the first person to make me like even a small part of a dubstep song!

Well the only word I can think of to describe what I think of the deep 'wubwubwubwub' is satisfying, but other than that, I don't like it.

Anyone is welcome to show me some heavier dubstep than is posted on here. The chances are I'll be more fond of it.

It's been gaining a lot of momentum in the U.S., and I absolutely adore it. Most of my friends hate it.

Granted, there's a lot of shitty "brostep" out there like nero and skrillex, but if you can look past the bad and look towards Skream! and the like, there's a lot of great stuff.

Also, on a related note, what do you all think of "gloving?"

I never really liked dubsteb, here some people say that the example is shit and comes down to wubwub wuub wubwubwub but i hear nothing more in other examples. The thing that annoys me most about dubsteb (any electronic music really) is that there is practically no skill required to play a piece. As a piano enthusiast I practise everyday at least an hour to gain skill. But when dj's are playing in a bar or club they get respect without a day of sweat for the instrument what so every ( I dont mean dj's who scratch).

For the musical aspect of dubsteb, all I can hear is one melody line and alot of repetition with alot of bass, it's OK when you're drunk in some club but that's about it. If you want to hear some in my opinion truly inspired music listen to some good classic/hard rock. And if you're feeling fancy try Ravel.

But as with any music style or taste for that matter some people will find it good others won't. Tastes will allways differ.

Here in the states, especially on the east coast, it's got a pretty strong cult following, with ever-growing popularity. A lot of clubs have started switching up their usual playlists to include more and more dubstep tracks. It also seems like a fair number of dubstep artists from the US and the UK are starting to make names for themselves.

Most notably, Basement Jaxx. Especially given the fantastic soundtrack Jaxx made for the film Attack the Block.

Do you like Dubstep?
If so, What is your favourite Dubstep track?

Viva la Skrillex.

I love dubstep, I don't know why but it doesn't matter.

I kinda like it. it's kind of chaotic and panicky (if you can say that). In a kind of cybergothic kind of way.
Actually, I tell a lie. This is why. Well put, childofbodom.

I just think it's a fad.

Last year I'd never heard of it, and now it's suddenly blown up. The wobble noise you hear really annoys me. I don't like it at all. It's noise, not music. Good sounding noise sometimes, but not music at all.

I dont really mind it to be honest, i would go out of my way to listen to it, but if someone else sticks it on then its fine by me.

Quite good to work out to, if you find the right tracks.

This is my favourite dubstep tune:

I do like Dubstep! It's pretty good on it's own, but I think everyone would agree that it's SO FUCKING EPIC at parties. It's social/wasted/dancing music :D
I haven't heard much though
This is my favourite - it's a sort of modern dubstep version of My Favourite Things from Sound of Music :D
This is alriiight, not brill though
I like this:

It's fun in the right environment, not really something you listen to unless it's you and other people in a car or at some sort of drinking establishment.
