This feels like cheating but the oldest pc game I remember playing is diablo 2. I only ever cared about what looked cool and not the strength of the actual equipment. Curse my 7 year old mind.

Goosebumps: Attack of the Mutant, and Gahan Wilson's "The Ultimate Haunted House".
If anyone knows where I can download either of these, you will have my gratitude.

Sierra's old quest games..

Police Quest, Space Quest, Leisure Suit Larry, Kings Quest 3...

Leisure Suit Larry being the first i played (totally age inappropriate ^_^ ), and it's how i learned english. 2 days of annoying my parents for translations, and they handed me a dictionary and told me to figure it out myself, 2 weeks later i didn't need a dictionary anymore. Kids will learn *anything* if you can motivate them properly :p

Exile: Escape from the Pit
Flashback: Quest for Identity.

Fuck. I feel old.
Holy shit Flashback?! So fun. I got the Genesis version too and the terrible ass sequel came with my family's Gateway waaaay back in '96. Good times.

For me though, personally, it would be The Neverhood of the same year or Cross Country USA on the old elementary school Macs.

My firsts were Cosmo, Commander Keen, Doom, Mario is Missing (Imagine Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego, but with Luigi and Yoshi searching the world for clues about where Mario was being held), and one of my most nostalgic game series: Decent.

Hocus Pocus
Blake Stone: Aliens of Gold
Alien Carnage
Duke Nukem 2

After that I got into Doom, and Kings Quest and such not. Though I think I just made myself out to be older than 95% of this forum.

Portal 2.

Yeah, I am kidding. First good game would probably be Jazz Jackrabbit.

For me it was "the incredible machine". A kind of puzzle game where you could build hilarious contraptions and the like or solve puzzles. I put sooo many hours of my life into it, I really should try to find it or some other game like it again.
Second!

I was thinking about TIM too when I read the topic :p

For me, it was the Star Wars Collection 2. Dark Forces, Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight, Mysteries of the Sith, Yoda Stories, X-Wing, W-Wing vs TIE Fighter, and TIE FIGHTER.

Aside from Yoda stories, easily the best Star Wars games ever made.

Probably wouldn't call it PC, but Elite. Damn that was fine. BBC Micro ftw lol

Starglider and Elite on my dad's old EGA 286. When it came to my own PC, then Wolfenstein 3D.
