E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial for the Atari 2600. Call it schmuck bait. I had to see whether it lived up to its reputation.
I played this game as a wee lad. Awful, just awful. Its hatred has made such a strong comeback in recent years, and gained a cult following. I remember being very little and knowing that game is utter bullshit.
I love it for it's shittyness! It's just hilarious!
OT: worst game...hmm...World Super Police. Oh or Futurama.

I've never tried Haze, is it really that bad?
In a word: Yes. It boasted an innovative story, great gameplay and graphics, it delivered nothing. There was promises of how because your character switches faction midway through the game, the gameplay would alter drastically because of how each factions plays, again, spurious lies.

Bionicle: the Game. I was a fan of the Bionicle toy line, and sill am, then EA released this blatant cash-in that I beat in an afternoon, and took another afternoon to get 100%. The Toa (the heroes of Bionicle) have this big melee weapons but they decided to just give them these week projectile attacks, and take their individual powers away. I got rid of it a Gamestop and I never regretted it.

Sure I hatted Sonic World Adventure (or Unleashed as it's called here) and Final Fantasy XII. But at least the Daytime levels where ok in Sonic, and FFXII looked pretty.

First off I haven't played that many bad games so even my worst one is still probably at least decent. With that out of the way Half Life. It hasn't withstood the test of time well at this point. Also played Too Human but I actually liked it a bit but that's probably because of how much I like Norse mythology.

Final Fantasy XIII.
This, a thousand times this.

Okay, it wasn't the worst game I have ever played, but it was definitely one of the worst final fantasies.. Nah, 9 topped it in terms of fail.

OT: Final Fantasy 9, I guess. The game's story was bland and ridiculous, the art style was.. Horrid, and the characters were nothing but irritating twats.

This. Got it on an emulator...it truly is as awful as everyone said.

I tend not to buy 'bad' games, so I don't really end up playing them.

No but seriously

Myst.
I have played Pacman on the Atari 2600, so that port gets my vote as the worst game I have ever played.

Superman 64, although I know the worst game ever is E.T. on the Atari *shudder*, luckily I was spared from it.

Probably Red Steel. After trying to play for 15 minutes I just put the controller down and never touched it again. It put me off buying the Wii, one of the best decisions I ever made.

Turok or Haze, in that they had such hype, and both were just complete pieces of shit. Hell, calling them that is an insult to shit, they were everything wrong with the world squeezed onto two CDs.

Or possibly the Spyro games released on the PS2, not only were they fairly bad games on their own, but they took a preexisting series, and murdered it. They mashed it into a pulp, had its eyes gouged out, its elbows broken, its kneecaps split, its body burned away, its limbs all hacked and mangled, its head smashed in, heart cut out, liver removed, bowels unplugged, its nostrils raped, they had its bottom burned off, and its penis split.

Cookie for the reference
Engage in hyperbole much?

OP: Portal, Halflife 2 and big rigs but hell at least big rigs was hilariously bad. i regreat buying portal and halflife.

Possibly Die Hard Vendetta for the Gamecube, or maybe Chicken Run for the Dreamcast, both of which were for some reason given to me, I hadn't even seen chicken run the movie infact. I have to admit I don't play many really bad games. I don't buy it if it doesn't look good.
