Final Fantasy X. I played so many bad games but this one was the worst. People praised it to heaven and I thought I might give it a try. After 45 minutes of stupid angsty cutscenes with an unlikeable twat I threw this pile of festering shit into a bin and never touched it again.
You got lucky. The story actually sucked me in and I had to finish it with as many secrets, Aeons, and Ultima weapons as I could get. Every other boss fight was a nightmare, and I literally spent hours grinding to make my characters and equipment stronger to beat the boss (nearly every boss has a unique and annoying strategy).

I rented this game on and off until I finally bought and finished the game. It took me 5 years.

Still, I enjoyed this game and it only got me to play more RPGs in the future. Would I do it all over again?

HELL NO!

1989, Ninja Gaiden.
World 6-2. Volcanic tremor level rage induced by?

F*cking BIRDS. just thinking about them is making my eye twitch a bit.
approximately 4:00 in to feel my pain. I had no idea you could just stand still to let the guy back himself out of existence.... I used to just gun it, balls to the wall as they say

First one?, Ninja Gaiden on the NES, took me over a year and hundreds of tries before beating it, also very high honors to Megaman 5, Battletoads (havent be able to beat it to this day), Shinobi (ps2), DMC 3 original edition on highest difficulty setting (nigh impossible), original Metroid, original Zelda, Final Fantasy 2 and 3, Dragon Warrior (also rough but mostly because i didnt yet learned to read in english i live in venezuela and i basically learned english word by word dictionary on hand to be able to beat RPGs)

The motorbike level on Alex Kidd in Miracle World. Back in the day when there wasn't saving. :(
Oh god... I was preparing a post on how I generally keep my cool even though how my 1year of WoW as a mage on a PvP server has lead to some mild raging, but OH FUDGE YOU ALEX KIDD, I HATE YOU WITH A PASSION.

The original Super Mario Bro's. I was six, and my parents would have to take away my Nintendo if I was getting too upset... sometimes, I would lose it for an entire week.

Halo 3 Multiplayer, smashed so many controllers playing that damn game. Gears 2 online co-op, went mental at my brother quite a few times. Most of the Call of Duty campaigns on Veteran. I've mellowed out since I was younger haha.

The last chapter in the story mode on F-Zero GX.

Never have I been so frustrated with a game.

Round 46 on Street Fighter IV: Sakura vs. Seth.

I'm normally a patient person. Normally.

Loads of games I've had issues with, the FIFA franchise, I know it's not all that popular on here but take it from me it's the most addicting game out there, because I've never felt the need to continue a game that so blatently cheats at every turn in my life, even when I'm winning significantly I can fly off the handle.

Battlefront 2 was probably one of the first, the way clone reinforcements deplete in seconds because as good as it is the game is heavily unbalanced in favour of droids (droidekas! AHHH!) I once heard "they've captured a command post" and punched a drinking glass across the room, because I'd just saved it moments before.

The racing missions of San Andreas, being killed by anti-snipers in BF:BC2, getting my bounty removed before a challenge completion in Red Dead Redemption, an underwater level on Crash Bandicoot warped, the helicopter hat/hair missions in Rayman, teabaggers in Halo, getting vague questions wrong because they're designed to be complete guesses on L.A Noire...so many things that have ticked me off in the past.

First was definately the Battleship game that used to be on SKY games when it started out, I went purple, bad day I guess. I'd love a non condescending tip as to how to manage game anger without having to completely turn it off, but most people just say "take a deep breath" or some other hopeful but unsuccessful tip.

Top Gun for the NES when I was a wee lad.

It was my dad's console, and that was one of the games he had (along with SMB, Duck Hunt, Tetris, Rad Racer, and that one track and field game that came with the Power Pad). I know that because of the Angry Video Game Nerd, it's the "cool thing" to hate on Top Gun, but seriously: that game is fucking infuriating. I don't think I ever made it past the first real mission.

This is a bit embarrassing...

Scooby-Doo and the Cyber Chase. It wasn't my first game.

The first that made me cry though. >>.

That part with the fucking stupid bridge... GAWWWW.
I remember spending many infuriating nights on the bridge as well. Why the hell can you fall through a 3 inch wide hole?!?!? That game was the first of many to ruin my childhood.

I think half of my Genesis library as a little kid turned out to be incredibly frustrating for me and my brothers. I can think of a small list just off the top of my head...

-Battletoads (This is obviously a given.)
-Sonic 2 (Not so much the water level, but the last boss and getting NO RINGS.)
-Ghouls 'n Ghosts (I don't think I ever got past the third level...)
-Strider (Yea, kinda self explanatory if you've played it too.)

All of these games were very tough for me, but I still enjoyed playing them over and over.

Even with that solid list though, I think the first game I actually got frustrated to the point of anger was Pokemon Stadium. Pretty sure we've broken three controllers for that game alone.

Top Gun for the NES. Landing the plane is near impossible and getting refueled is a devil in itself.

Spiderman for the PS1. Monster Ock was so hard to get away from and he always caught me no matter how hard i tried

I have a memory of slamming a controller down and slamming my door in rage at the original Super Mario Kart. Then I remember my Dad yelling at me to stop. I can't for the life of me remember why I was so upset at it though.

Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. For the NES.

I swear that game hated me. I am not even ashamed to admit that I caved and used the Gameshark to give myself immortality. I was all of 10. I caved easily. XD

Even Demons Souls doesn't make me as frustrated as that game did.
