Because I'm the best damn hockey player in the county if not the country, because I can write something that will make you weep, laugh, smile and frown in the space of twenty pages, because I'm brighter than 97% of the damned country, and because I am the most beautiful ************ you will ever have the good fortune to lay your eyes upon.

But really, because I'm just plain better than you.
Damn, never thought I'd hear such high self-praise from an Englishman/woman(!) =P
Well my biological parentage is up in the air, being a drop-off case and all, so it's probably that showing through.
In that case:

*dons monocle, twirls moustache & doffs top hat*

I say, a British lady speaking in such a way, how uncouth, must be a foreigner... a foreigner?! GUARDS! SIEZE HER!!

Idiocy aside, curious about the writing... (but less curious about your use of the expression 'most beautiful ************' *hrk*!!) ^_^

And damn... reading your post is making me reminisce about my hockey playing days...

Only potentially genetically speaking. I'm as English as they come otherwise.
Well, English/Irish/Welsh, but that's not the point.

I like writing, and from what I'm told, I'm rather good. I'd give you a link, but I write for me, rarely, -if ever- showing anyone.

Oh wow, a chance to be vain?!? I'm all over this shit!

I'm awesome because I was one of 13 people in the world to be accepted to the first one year program at the prestigious T. Schreiber acting studio in New York (where people like Edward Norton, Peter Sarsgaard and Maria Bello trained) and one of 11 to complete the program. Upon completion, legendary acting teacher Terry Schreiber said that I was the standout of the program and that "nobody here has more tenaciousness, desire, and drive than Warren Douglas".

Me too, I have a stupid array of speculative history, historical fiction, philosophy and my beloved magnum opus (an epic sci-fi tragedy which I secret away obsessively from prying eyes). Still, I'll show you mine if you show me yours! *tee hee* (sorry... though I think I've only got a few sketches/bad short stories up on my blog at the moment, I really need to update it regularly again...)

Here's how I'm awesome:

When I first started public schooling, I was in the Special Education program.
When I finished Public Schooling, I had a Regents Diploma, was a member of the National Honor Society, and was in the top 20% of my Graduating Class.

Yep. I'm Awesome!

Nope.
I have four notebooks filled with writing, and only three people have ever seen inside them. One of them had my permission.

I have four things hosted online. One I will never let another soul see, another, I don't really want seen, the third is abandoned and really, really doesn't showcase anything, and the fourth is a work in progress that I might share when it's done.

See, everything I have written down is on my PC, never understood the appeal of literally writing stuff down... perhaps due to my atrocious handwriting, and perhaps due to my need for sources of inspiration to be around. *shrug*

Still, happy writing, and feel free to visit this dusty cellar [www.kaehdris.blogspot.com]. Small warning, not particularly good editing, I did a lot of blind transcribing... yeah, silly story...

I still have a 4.0 GPA. And that's with 6 honors classes in my two years of high school. I'm quite proud of my school achievements, actually, although I try to not bring them up that often because people think I'm some snooty honors kid. Which I'm really not. Although this post certainly gives that feeling.

I might give it a peek when I feel like it.

I write by hand because there's less chance of losing it, I can take my notebooks with me, and because people don't look on your shelves.

I'm awesome because when I was 8 I had my IQ tested and it was 130!
When I was 6 they said mine was between 150 and 170 :D Sorry, I got 1 up'd in the first post... I needed revenge :(

As for the first post, I am only junior black belt, but in two separate styles of karate.

Really thought, the only reason I would say I am awesome other than because I just am is because I managed to get such an amazing girlfriend. The rest other than the just am is not important :p

I'm awesome because I'm a 2nd degree black belt in Tang soo do, and I'm freakishly smart for my school standards. The school system had me taking Honors Precalculus in high school, as a Freshman.

I'm awesome because I can hold my own in basketball despite having cerebral palsy on the right side of my body.
Congratulations, that's impressive :)

OP: I'm awesome because... I've made my way into many monkeysphere's.
And *ashamed* I had a Skins fest, watched 3 series in about 4 days.

I'm awesome because I have a sci-fi webcomic series that I busted my ass on for years and got it out earlier this year.
Allright, I'll bite. Link, please...
Well since you asked why not.

www.antarescomplex.com

Neat I didn't think anyone would be interested, no seriously worked at least 5 years on trying to get a neat comic going, means a lot just to hear someone ask haha.
Trust me, I know how excruciating it feels to try to get something done from the ground up.

I did have a look around but I couldn't really see that much of the plot other than the basic set-up, for some reason, as the actual comic pages won't ever, ever load (maybe a problem with flash on my end?) but did notice the homepage must have needed a ton of work and it shows nicely. As for the art, I guess it was cool, but I'm not the intended audience for that kind of particular style, so don't let my "blah" reaction discourage you. And universe seemed really well thought out. Kudos.

Also, why the french reference (Neige ==> Snow)? You like the language or are you like me in that you pick the first thing that sounds like an okay name in your mind? It may be a bit on the lazy side but does help me avoid overt symbolism I don't need.

Also, nifty tune. Catchy!
That is a strange issue, I'll have to see what the issue is. The images are higher-res than most other sites so it could take a while for slower connections. And it's really early in the series so plot will be light just for a bit.

Neige does mean snow indeed, I picked it because I enjoy winter/snow/ice and put that into a translator. So she's known for that reason sure but it's going to be for another reason in the comic as well.

I'm glad you at least checked it out, and only hope it amused you in some way hah. I'm honestly doing this for others enjoyment and because it's fun to make. I got no ads on my site and make 0 bucks from it, infact it costs a bit to host. So that tells you something I guess right?
Yeah.

I may end up doing something similar, but using Wordpress or whatever to host the pages. But for the time being I'll have to wait till I finish programming my own software to put all the images and panels together--my brain seems to refuse to use the blasted Gimp and its goddamn unintuitiveness for it.

Question: What are the tools you are using to put it all together? Photoshop, perhaps?
Wordpress is annoying, it's all this cumbersome design by form nonsense. Hard to explain it but I didn't like how it worked, then again I make pages for freelance hah.

The comic is done with pencils, photoshop, the site is flash and dreamweaver.
