Paddy looked over at Zala and nodded his appreciation. "I would be very grateful for a lift, but I'll need to make a stop before we get to England, coz there's only one way I'm going to another church, let alone one in England and that's with copious amounts of alcohol in my system. So I need to find a good off-licence before I set foot anywhere on that island. As for religion let me ask you something, do you think a kind and loving god would take everything a man had and hoped for, while also refusing him the chance to die for everything he believes in?".

Hearing that the conversation had shifted away from idiotic matters, Charles re-entered the church, a slight grin on his face

"You as well?" he asked Zala

"What kind?"

"Of course you may all come." She addressed Paddy in particular. "And I am afraid as your hostess it is my alcohol I must proffer, from my own vineyard I have a selection of wines, and there is of course a stock of other spirits if you prefer." She smiled at those who had taken up her offer, in a strangely menacing way for someone of her apparent age. "Of course anyone who causes trouble will be kicked off promptly, mid-flight or not."

A wink to Dexter. "You drove because you had not yet met me." And to Charles. "I am not familiar with airplane types, but it comfortably accommodates thirty, and has sleeping rooms for the overnight travel. I rent, finding it much easier than maintaining and updating my own over the years."

Charles wrote something down on a piece of paper and handed it to her

"Depending on where we end up going in England these codes will help keep the local authorities off our back, provided of course, that we go to the same place"

He ended with a slight dark smile

Zala smiled benignly. "I have identities arranged in most major countries that allow for safe passage where monetary arrangements fail to influence, but thank you, your assistance is appreciated." She gave a flutter of eyelashes, and her entire manner seemed to change, even to the adoption of an obnoxious American accent, to that of a flirtatious teenager. "Besides, like, who would suspect me of anything?"

Charles chuckled darkly, his one hand running down his scared eye

"You'd be surprised"

Suddenly turning upbeat, he smiled

"Considering everyone is joining you on this jet of yours, It would be...idiotic for me to fly on my own. I can compensate you, of course for my intrusion"

Dexter raised an eyebrow. "Maybe anyone who saw you in one place with one name, and in a different place in another?"

Zala waved her hand as if the whole consideration was negligible, reassuming her former dignity. "Have a little trust in an old woman, hm? I've been at this longer than most of you put together."

Paddy beamed Zala a quick smile his headache finally gone, before saying "That will do nicely, now if you'll excuse me I must make a call". Stepping outside and making sure he was out of ear shot Paddy quickly dialed up Jim on his phone. Once he heard Jim pickup he started talking "Jim thanks for the gun I really appreciate it, but I'm afraid I got to call in another favour. I have to fly to England now and as you know I'd never go without a generous supply of Irish spirits, so I need you to get me some. All I really know about our destination is it's gonna be an airport close to a really old church and that I'm arriving on a large personal jet, probably sometime tomorrow. What I'll need is a few botles of whiskey and if you have any of that potcheen I showed you how to make, I'd love some". Paddy thanked Jim as soon as he accepted the job and hung up. Walking back in he smiled and simply said "Well that's sorted".

Zala pulled her own phone, seemingly from nowhere, and began a whirl of texting. "It may be a bit before they're properly refueled and checked for a trans-Atlantic flight. We may as well stay here and reminisce. Or if anyone has any questions...?"

Was thinking we'll give everyone else a chance to post if they want to come and stuff. Barring that, if we leave anyone behind before they've gotten a chance, feel free to assume you came with.

We should probably wait for Xanian to update us as well, in case we're going the wrong way...

Edwardo shuffled into the church and closed the door behind him. After losing the shadow, he had gone back to Canal Street and picked up the black carrying case he held in his hand now. Approaching the group, he heard about the desire to fly to england.

Giorgio shook his head slightly at Zala's question, still gazing at the old painting, stripping with age. He hesitated, then spoke.

"Actually, yes," he said softly. "...Have you ever met an- immortal, did you say?- who managed to die?" His face was stern, deep brown eyes avoiding contact. So many years of loss had worn him thin, and the prospect of being able to fully understand his infliction was awfully appealing.

that my posts have been few and far between- I'm just being bogged down with pre-holiday break homework projects. I'd love to be more involved in this RP, but at the moment, I have to make due with what I'm able to fit in.

Zala felt keenly his obvious weariness. A state she had entered some time ago, and had been forced to overcome lest she lose her mind and will to merciless insanity. "No." She said with solemnity. "I have never known one of us to die. There are some I met long ago whom I have never seen again, but this world has only recently gotten small enough to find someone again. And I myself have survived more varied manners of death than is wise to contemplate."

Her eyes glimmered with something vast and coldly lonely. "It is best, I find, to do what one can to stay... connected. I have seen some of us lost to maddness, and that..." She shivered visibly, at the only thing she really had left to fear, for it seemed some hint of it was her only constant companion. "That is a fate worse than any other."

She managed to recover a bit to answer Xandus' question quietly. "Of course you may come. All are welcome."

AHHHH TOO MUCH STUFF HAPPENING GAAAAAARRRRR...bleh
OK, I read most of that, am I right in assuming everyone's heading to England right now? I'll operate under that assumption for now, I've got my Mom's lappy right now so editing won't be an issue.
Also, I assumed that we could be "killed" but we'd recover after a short time. Like getting shot up would drop us for a short time, physical signs of life would stop, but we'd get back up after a bit. *shrugs* Those were my thoughts.
Seamus cursed when the shadow disappeared. Before following everyone back to the church, he stared at the billboard they had reached, reading it and trying to remember what it said.

Returning to the church, he crouched in the corner, his good eye half-closed as he considered what everyone had said and what he personally knew: not much.

When Zala offered her private jet as transport, his eye snapped open and he quickly asked "Do ye have problems wit' copious amountsa munitions aboard? I'm loathe t' leave my collection on my RV if we're travelin'. Everythin' else in there can be replaced, bu' I'm th' proud owner of quite a few unique weapons."

"Who hasn't fought in wars?" Zala asked with amusement. "There are so many all the time it takes more effort to avoid them than win them it seems." She addressed Seamus' question more directly then, with her usual dismissal of illegality and danger. "Of course you may bring what you like, but carrying about firearms is much less accepted in England and I have my doubts about their usefulness in this endeavor."

Yorgmiester said:
I have a question about the Immortals. It's already been established they can't be killed, but what happens when they get wounded? Like for instance, what if Fredrick were to get decapitated, or get dropped into a giant shredding machine? How would he... survive that...
To put it plainly, Sachiro was reduced to red mist before reforming alive. Your body is somehow attracted to itself, and will come back together, even if it has to be reduced to particles over years and reorganize itself. You will loose weight when this happens, usually do to the energy expended, but you won't die. You can gain the weight back by eating, or decide you want to look like a skeleton and walk around, but somehow your body is always animated.

Fredrick smiled at Zala's offer. "Yes, I'd greatly enjoy that." he said, turning away from the picture. "It will give us some time to share some stories." He really did look forward to it, as Zala's thousands of years of experience would contain a vast amount of knowledge. Throughout his lifetime, everyone had been younger than him. He had been the one who was old, and knowledgeable, and would share experiences and wisdom with people. Now, here was someone he could learn from.
