I watched the trailer, the fact that they made a papa roach song somehow worse kinda told me all they needed to about the series.

Devil May Cry Season 1 Netflix - I just got finished with watching this show.........Holy Shit, I love it!

- They get the source material right.
- I love the expanded backstory of Lady and the White Rabbit. Making their stories connected works here.
- The action is on point, exciting, and much more engaging than the 2007 anime.
- All the voice actors did a wonderful job.
- This show does fan service right. There are neat little references here and there, but you are not required to know them. Though if you're a long time DMC or even Capcom fan, there's plenty to find without being distracting nor completely in your face.
- Arius going to be in the next season! I did not see that coming!
- I love the animation in the origin/flashback episode.
- There are some legit horror moments in this show. DMC Netflix remembers that og first game was supposed to be a Resident Evil game.
- Some dodgy CGI animation. It's not the worst, but Netflix really needs to give these shows some extra budget so we can get more 2D with our demons here.
- I didn't exactly agree with Lady capturing Dante in the end. For her character arc, I get she's a somewhat different version of the character, but the original Lady would tell her counterpart that the Vice President doesn't give a shit about her. Mary herself saw it first hand.
- I am glad they included some songs from the games, even if they're different renditions, but they still should have included their original versions and put them in more action tense moments. The placement of "Devil Trigger" is well spot on though.
I've been seeing the heated discussions online, and I do have to say the decisions they made sound hilariously bad.
As someone who has never engaged with DMC I'm a little more curious now.

I talked about it in a different thread, and yeah, I really don't like the show. I think it's kind of awful, in similar ways to how the Yasuke netflix animated show was awful.
The new Gundam TV anime GQuuuuuuX started airing today on Amazon Prime and your favorite pirate site
It's an AU like most Gundam shows, but specifically splits off from the original show by having Char steal the prototype Gundam instead of Amuro jumping into it. 4 years later it turns out that Char is missing, the Zeon fought the Federation to a standstill and nominally won their independence (lmao, if you know what Zeon leadership is like)
Amate Yuzuriha, aka Machu, is having an existential crisis relating to growing up on a colony when she gets literally run in to by the enigmatic Nyaan, on the run from the cops for being a refugee (and also smuggling contraband). Shenanigans ensue. Meanwhile, returning 0079 character Challia Bull is searching for the mysterious Red Gundam, aided by test pilot Xavier Olivette, the experimental Omega Psycommu, and the prototype GXuuuuuuX mobile suit.
It's a good time. Gonna be relatively show for a TV anime, but fortunately had a much longer production time than G Witch so there shouldn't be a scheduling issue. The character design by Pokémon mainstay Take looks fantastic, the music is great, and the revamped designs are pure studio Khara
If you've seen the movie, it encapsulates the first three episodes, but their jumbling the order to introduce the new kids first
