Some of the most beautiful sights were in Majora's Mask.

The sky during the dawn of the 4th day, a few minutes before the moon comes crashing down. Just going around Termina Field, looking up at that beautiful sky with that ugly moon... and that tragic music playing all along. Ooooh...

Might not count because it's a cutscene, but when you first see the Citadel in Mass Effect lit up by the nebula behind. Awesome.

Starwars Force Unleashed: Bringing down the Star Destroyer after that very annoying battle.
Left 4 Dead: The chopper at no mercy on expert with me being last man alive.
Crysis: That Huge Alein ship at the end, i nearly shat myself and then it was easy.
Fallout 3: Playing the end with liberty prime and targeting a bunch of soldiers tossing a nade only to have liberty laser all of them in slow mo before the grnade reached.
COD;WAW: The retreating Nazi army at the level after the sewers

After having the rest of your team savagely mauled and killed, and your health dropping fast from going down one too many times with no medkits, nothing beats the sight of that red steel door signifying the temporary sanctuary that is a safe house.
Except there's a hunter in the corner, OH NOOOOOZZZZ!

In the second level in Gears 1, the level after the tutorial. The first place you see locust E-holes. The really short cinematic just before you fight then. I dunno why, but I really like it.

A perfectly framed landscape in Far Cry 2.
The train station and plaza in Half Life 2.
The tenth level of the campaign in Age of Mythology, where you're exploring the Underworld and you see an endless line of ships parading by on a nearby river.

The last scene of Half life 2, Episode two. I had developers commentary on, so I knew it was coming but still, probably the most moving part of a video game I have scene.
Half Life 2 in its entirety.
Crysis when you first see the amazing view of the harbour, the first expansive view you get after the tutorial.
Also, like all of CoD4. Amazing.

Seeing the outside for the first time in Fallout 3. As a well-behind-the-times gamer, I only got this just recently, along with my 360. When I opened up that door, after the bloom faded, I just stood there and said "wow."

Also marching behind Liberty Prime watching him blow stuff up. Pure awesome.

Looking out over the edge and up into space around the site of the Planetcrack in Dead Space.
That epic scene where the Human/Elite fleet arrive out of the wormhole to assault the Ark in Halo 3.

Also, the trip down to Rapture in Bioshock left me pretty awestruck.
I concur.
The presentation setting you into the Objectivist ideology pulls out perfectly just as you enter into a towering, fantastically lit metropolis under the sea.
Sent shivers down my spine.

Both STALKER games with graphics on full. Especially the more populated areas such as the bar with the fires crackling, the Stalkers playing guitar... Beautiful.

The first time you see Princess Zelda in all her 3D glory on Ocarina of Time.

The sheer brilliance of the graphical power milked out of MDK and Future Cop LAPD. Both very old, and very different games, but both had wonderful graphical charm, MDK with its huge levels, full 3D action with the best sniper rifle I've seen in a game allowing me to view even far away background close up, seeing the surprisingly good detail in it, and Future Cop for it's wonderful explosions, despite the now primitive console it is on.

"Thinking about it, your army of Zerglings and Hydralisks destroying the enemy base in an online session of Starcraft-Broodwar might be even more beautiful, in a different way."
Indeed, It hasn't gotten old 11 years running.

All of Shadow of the Colossus, leaving the vault in Fallout 3, and making little clouds of red in FEAR 2.

Well. Maybe not the last one. But.. you know what I mean.

It's not really a sight, more of a moment, but in the epilogue of CoD4, when your character quotes Airplane.
"I am serious. And don't call me Shirley"
