Walking out on the wasteland for the first time in Fallout 3

yeah, that WAS pretty cool, especially the first time you go to megaton and get horrified by seeing an unexploded nuke in the middle of the town.

Fallout 3 was beautiful, but in a different way if you know what I mean

yep, knowing that all, or many, of those corrupt politicians were evaporated by atomic fire makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.

too bad the UK's politicians are all still alive ...

In Panzer Dragoon Zwei, when you first take flight for real. That sight still fills me with awe =)

1. A Star Destroyer exploding in Star Wars: X-Wing. Also the mission debriefing describing your purple-heart-worthy defense of a Rebel Frigate from one of the aforementioned behemoths.
2. sigh, a scarab exploding in Halo 3. Even better because it killed my little brother. Screw that noob.
3. The very first mission of CoD4 where you see Captain Price throw his cigarette out of the chopper, then land on a cargo ship. Better than any nuke.
4. The effects on Lost Planet. The blurring for swift movement and the quick flash of an explosion, along with the smoke make that game the prettiest in my opinion.
5. Star Wars: Mysteries of the Sith, dropping an A-Wing on a couple of unsuspecting Stormtroopers. +1,000,000% awesomeness if you can get on top of the A-Wing before it drops, pull out the lightsaber, and drop down on them too.

There's more, but I wont remember them until after I post. Figures.

Okay, that was me being melodramatic for comedic effect. I did like carmine though, he interested me BECAUSE he was faceless cannon fodder. If only I could play him in the story so I could pretend it was ME under the helmet...

The first time I saw Venice in Assassins Creed 2. Beautifully rendered town.

YES! I was going to say Venice at night, or during the festival, in AC2, even though the moon is weirdly always full I don't care its so pretty.

There's also a random planet in Mass Effect that I love going to because the moon you can see from the planet is absolutely gorgeous: a shade somewhere between red and orange and it fills most of the screen when you're looking at it. I would just sit in the Mako and stare at it.

Virmire was also very beautiful (punch in the stomach notwithstanding).

Okami on the whole, it's just so god damn pretty, I can't stand playing it but damn is it ever pretty.

First time I saw a Colossi was pretty intense having no idea what to do.

Flying at night in a heli in GTA IV had a nice view.
