Samus taking her helmet off?
Oh yeah...
Ivy from Soul Calibre is a pretty amazing sight, too.

That army of Reapers in Mass Effect 2 is a pretty awe-inspiring sight.

Level 5 on Rez - I wish I could watch myself play it.

In lots of old skool games the most beautiful sight in the world is a health pack.
Halo 1 in The Library on Legendary my first time playing through it I was like SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT because of all the little flood bastards all over the fucking place. I had like one bar of health left and I saw a health pac and a few ammo clips. I was like THANK YOU GOD!!!

The end of the Orc campaign in WarCraft 3 where Grom Hellscream and Thrall are facing off against Mannoroth, where Grom single-handedly takes down the demon lord who had enslaved his race for a generation. Grom the motherfucking Hellscream will forever be the Chuck Norris of orcs.
Dude, that scene made me almost cry from how awsome it was.
Specialy when Thrall told him, "You've freed us all", and then does a battle cry thing to remember Hellscream.
Jesus, it's hard to think of one solid one to explain, there's so many.
I'd definatly say one of my top ones would be during the end of Act 3 in MGS4.
When Ocelot took control over the SOP, and with like 4 FROG soldiers, took out a whole bridge full of soldiers, a few boats, and 2 helicopters. That scene was just.....words can not describe how awsome it was.
There's a couple in FFVIII, most noteable was:
When Rinoa was taken by Esthar to get rid of her Sorceress powers, and then Squall realising how much of a idiot he was for letting her go after everyone gets to the Ragnarok. So, while Zell, Quistis and Squall were talking, the ship takes off, and the most beautiful music starts playing, and then after they all agree to go get her back, taking control of the ship. Aww man...that one just really hit home well.

Final cutscene fight in 'Drakes Fortune' (on the tanker). Amazing.

Also walking/crawling through the microwave hallway in MGS4 and watching the three seperate battles being waged above you. Powerful
Due that scene from MGS4 was just awsome. Almost broke my controller from how much I was pressing buttons. ;-;

Arathi Highlands, entering from Hillsbrad Foothills a sunny morning circa 10.30 am.
This is what comes to mind.

I'm like a WoW photograph (or just a nerdy nerd) except I don't play WoW any more :p

First seeing the outside world in Oblivion. I actually just stood there for a few seconds, taking it all in.
If you dug that, you should try Just Cause 2.
My vote goes to taking in the view from any of the high peaks in that game.
Tied with that would be seeing a super mutant head explode in slo-mo from a killer VATS shot. Watching my wife play the other day, I'm still hypnotized by it.
wowwww, your wife plays fallout? you sir, win life.
Tell me about it. It's a fun game to watch her play: she's the only one I know who can create a hot looking character in a Bethesda game and I don't know how she does it. Everyone else (including the guys at Bethesda) have a problem getting them to look barely human. Her fallout 3 character actually kind of looks like her.
She's loves GTA too.
She's actually the one who bought me Fallout 3 (SE) for my birthday.
Sorry, you gave me an opening and I had to boast.

I know it may not be the best game ever (as far from it as my balls are from the Sun) I believe it is when you first enter Gran Pulse, and you see Behemoths fighting giant wolves, and you see those massive dinosaur things, and you think ; 'wow.....too bad I had to play over 20 hours to get to this bit'

Half Life 2: Your first introduction to Alyx Vance. Every other time you see Alyx is a runner-up.
I'd have to put that right up there too. Never before or arguably since has there been a character in a video game with such beautiful facial animations. What I great way for Valve to introduce it.

Proof to me that graphics don't mean shit if you've got good art direction. Shadow of the Collossus is one of the beautiful games I have ever played a whole generation later.

I think the entire world of Pikmin 2 is pretty. Especially for a gamecube game it looks great, the water is especially nice. I always found the opening area of Metroid Prime to be beautiful too, it's what made me realize how nice graphics could be. Also decintigrating your first enemy with the plasma beam was always beautiful.
Just stepping out onto Phenandra Drifts coast was absolutely beautiful. The mood setting music didn't hurt either.

Any CG cutscene in Final Fantasy XIII makes my jaw drop to the floor, it's incredibly beautiful.

Successfully blowing 10 enemies into thin air using Walking Bomb in Dragon Age: Origins.

Popping 4 headshots in 3 seconds in Counterstrike 1.6 is pretty much the most beautiful thing I've ever seen (and done) though.
