The most monotonous game you have ever played

Any MMO I've ever played(WoW included), the Godfather, the Sims, Assassin's Creed (though as far as I'm concerned, the environments and combat make up for the game's repetative nature), and... Yeah, those are the worst offenders.

Agreed. That game was one of the biggest disapointments of all time.

Call of Duty 4, specifically multi-player. Juggernaut this and juggernaut that. They never shut up.

After you beat Chrono Trigger, you have side missions to do.
I don't want to climb up the goddamn mountain to give the fat guy a bannana.FOR THE TENTH TIME.

Supreme Commander, ui spent 45 minutes waiting for my three factories to build enough units to fill my unit cap, so once I have this huge army, I attack the enemy base. And all my guys die, so I do it over again, only game I've actually left on while I go do something else.

Well, I don't mind grinding to level up actually, it all depends on how well it's done. But then again I'm an RPG fanatic. :)

Despite this, I will give my selection which is also an MMORPG: Earth and Beyond.

Earth and Beyond was a great MMORPG concept, I liked some of their ideas, and still get a wierd smile when something off handedly reminds me of their "Tada-O" schtick. HOWEVER this game had this space flight mechanics where it could take like 5-20 minutes of watching your ship warp from point to point to do things. Forget grind. It was Warping, Warping, Warping, Warping. Arghhhh!

Grind is not as bad as watching something autopilot.

I can deal with Dynasty Warriors and similar games in doses. I can't do it non-stop, but there is something almost Zen-like about it. :)

Plus I like Vortigaunts.
The Free Man is welcome here.

I was going to say, in response to "GTA games are dull", "the latest one is awesome!"

I then realised I meant Saints Row 2. I've not played GTAIV =P

I can't decide between the trial of WOW I played, or FFIV on the DS...both were just too grind-tastic for words.
