Carl heard Casa shout to him and muttered to himself as he made his way towards the door, his headache returning.
[small]"Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm coming..."[/small]
Walking up to the other mutant, he gave the door a cursory glance.
"Electrified I take it?"
He slapped his hand onto the metal, feeling his hair stand on end.
"Yup, elctrified!"
Turning and placing his other hand on the door, Carl narrowed his eyes, feeling out the current.
"Huh, I guess I can loop the current back and fry the emitters."
Closing his eyes, Carl's brow furrowed. The current flowing through the door began to increase as his hands discharged more and more energy into the metal. Small sparks began to flicker into the air as the energy flowing into the circuit reached critical levels. A loud bang and a whine signalled that the circuit supplying electricity to the door had been overloaded. Carl chuckled and stepped back.
"Right, that was ea-"
The rest of the lights in the base flickered before dying.
"That was unexpected."
Turning back to the door, Carl held out his hand before raising his voice.
"Hey, whoever's in there, you might want to step back."
Arcs of electricity began to discharge from his hand, striking the metal door. Carl began to pour more energy into the stream, watching as several sections of the door started to glow a cherry red and rivulets of molten steel began to run to the floor. Within a few minutes, the three connecting sides of the door had melted away, leaving the steel hulk standing alone. Stepping backwards, Carl crafted a small ball of lightning in his hands.
"Right, let's see if this actually works..."
Concentrating, he began to flex the ball in his hands, letting out pulses of energy. Finally getting the trick right, Carl stepped back as the metal door toppled backwards, tipped by a small burst of electromagnetism. Carl grinned.
"Damn, I'm good."
