HORUS HERESY FTW
I think the Horus Heresy might be a little too big. If you think games like Crysis rapes your computer what do you think the Siege of Terra would do to your processor?

yeah but think of it, Playing as Sanguinus and saving the emporer or as dorn, or Russ. Maybe even the emporer himself and faicing down horus. How cool would that be to play as a primarch?
Well Sanguinius dies by Horus for one, Dorn arrived too late to help the Emperor and Russ actually wasnt there for the Siege of Terra. And yes, it would be fun to stride the battlefield as a living god of battle slaying Space Marines by the dozens.
I know the lore. and i think i would be cool to experience it but if i remember correctly dorn was with the emporer on the ship when he was killed. Sigismund was on terra running the defenses. The Lion was waiting to see which side was going to win (According to the black library fiction) I dont remember where girlyman or russ where nor Vulkan or the Raven Guards Primarch (I can never remeber his name) But it would be way cool to play as the primarchs or maybe even do a Prospero Burns/Thousand Sons type of story or an ISTVAAN 5 type of scenario.
By "girlyman" Im assuming you mean Fulgrim, and he turned to Chaos. Vulkan and Corax were both at Isstvan V during the Drop Site Massacre as was the veteran companies of the Iron Hands (and their leader Ferrus). Russ was at Prospero during the Siege of Terra and was delayed by (I think) the Alpha Legion. The only loyal legions that partisipated in the Siege of Terra would be the White Scars, Blood Angels, and the Imperial Fists.
Girlyman is Gulliman - Ultramarines primarch

I hardly think he was the girly one, but I see the joke now.

No I meant Roboute Guilliman Primarch of the Ultra Smurfs. Your right it was Alpha legion that detained Russ and the Wolves and i completely forgot about the Khan being on terra.

I'd love to play as a chaos space marine. aside from the badassness of it, you could have five different campaigns depending on which chaos god you preffered (fifth would of course be undevided). it'd be a much better version of the morale choice in games, as there would be more than two choices and they wouldn't be "good" or "evil", just different types of evil.

Yeah, he was busy in Ultramar getting his butt handed to him by the Word Bearers. And have you ever noticed that the White Scars hardly get any novel love? They get mentioned in other books but are there any whole books about them?

More weapons, more moves, more enemies (Tyranids, Eldar etc.), A longer campaign, and less hair-pulling moments of frustration ... oh and more blood please.

Oh, don't be ridiculous! It's not always like that! Yes, in Fire Warrior, the Space Marines we were fighting all suddenly turned to chaos, and yes, in the first Dawn of War game, the eldar revealed that the orks were just a distraction from the real threat of... er... chaos, but in Winter Assault, the eldar came along and tried to stop us fighting the orks, because they were just a distraction from the true... threat... of the necrons? Hm.

Well, at least in Dawn of War 2 they didn't pull that same storyline again! This time the orks were simply an insignificant distraction in the face of the incoming tyranid swarm, as revealed to us by... the eldar. Fuck.

Well thats the orks job in the Warhammer universe. They are the obvious distraction that you can't ignore cause they are just so deadly. Its the same thing in the Warhammer MMO. The orks are just being used by the Dark Eldar...I mean DARK ELVES as the strong arm of their alliance so they can run around and do the sneaky evil things they do.

No none of the Heresy Books at least have focused on the white scars although the new one "Age of Darkness" has a 60 page short story about them. Definitely a good read. There are also 5 more releases in the heresy series on thier way out between now and the end of next year according to wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horus_Heresy_(novels) one of them may contain something on them. As for other BL products check thier site but i dont remember seeing anything on them. I for one cant wait for the seige of Terra book

Well, I'd like the sequel to be called Chaos Marine. (You know why, and chaos for an unusual reason would be interesting, and would make for some interesitng plot since different facitons of chaos even fight amungst eachother)

I want more chapters taking an active role or at least for a different one to be the main.
Also, vehicles, more power weapons, and being able to make your own guy in multiplayer based on progression trees. And I don't know why but I found the colouring option too hard to use, and too limiting.

Or another angle, just make the Horus Heresy. It is the most canon story in 40K, with the most detail, and having a game verison would be a great way to introduce fans. I'd like it, since I'm not a great fan of reading.

Also, it might be interesting to experience first hand the actual development of a Space Marine.

Well you have WAR (Warhammer: Age of Reckoning) which takes place in the fantasy setting and Dark Millennium which is suppose to be the 40k one but that isnt out yet.

not chaos would be a change. don't mind it for MP as it makes it easier to balance by having the same abilities as each other but chaos has been the main antagonist too many times for past couple of warhammer releases. how about necron of dark eldar or something xeno.

another idea could be you play a dark angels interrogator chaplain hunting down a fallen runoured to be on a Hive world along with the ravenwing members.

I would ideally like to see a potential sequel have a more balls-out nuts kinda campaign (in addition to being longer, mind you).

To clarify: Grey Knights (if you REALLY wanna go for the elite of the Astartes) fighting off a planet wide daemonic incursion.

OR Deathwatch fighting Eldar/Dark Eldar/Tau and ending with having to deal with Necrons.

Also, more stuff in multiplayer. Dreadnaughts, Terminators, etc and so forth.

I was quite satisfied with the campaign mode. I'd like a few changes in the multiplayer though.
I think Devastator/Havoc classes should have to enter braced stance to fire all of their weapons, not just the Heavy Bolter.
The stuns need to be changed so that they actually stun people.
The Killing Blow perk needs to either do what it actually says it does, or be removed.
Final Vengeance, seriously, I can't even get away from Matyrdom by not playing Call of Duty!?
Stalker Bolter and Vengeance Launcher, I haven't seen a codex in a while, but I swear the last time I looked neither of these guns existed, so why are they in the game?
Also the last time I looked the Melta Gun wasn't a shotgun, the shotgun was a shotgun?
Why does the Powersword do the same damage as a Chainsword?

Other than these few (haha) things, I love the game, the customisation is brilliant and I can see myself playing it for a long time.

I can help with a couple of these.

Stalker Bolter exists in the Flights of Fantasy Game Deathwatch roleplaying game, so that's why it's here.

The Meltagun is a short range fusion weapon, which is why it fires similar to a shotgun.

That's all I got, I pretty much agree with the other concerns.

Lots of creativity!

I actually had yet another idea, a revamped Multiplayer progression tree. You start off at Lvl 1 as a Scout Novice, with only a shotgun and/or a bolter gun and work your way up. At some further level you unlock Power Armor and get to play as a Space Marine, gaining access to the rest of the weapons and accessories, and then at one of the higher levels you get Terminator Honors and unlock the Terminator Armor. Or, something along those lines anyway.
Unfortunately awesome as that would be, I fear it would be too unbalanced for latecomers - you start the multiplayer as a Scout, and all that's left playing are hardcore terminators. One scout, and like 15 terminators. Would be too harsh.

If we're going to be Loyalist Marines, then I say the next campaign should be a multi-pronged crusade with 3-4 Space Maines chapters involved, each with their own forms of fighting. So Raven Guard would use Jump Packs, Black Templars would be close range/on foot melee, Dark Angels/Imperial Fist would be more ranged based, etc. This way you capture the scale of war in the 41st millennium and appease the fanboys by having lots of different chapters to play as, not just the smurfs.

As for MP: everyone says the MP is broken, I just say it needs adjusting. Massed spam of Assaults, can be annoying, but a Tactical class can roll out of the way of any AeO ground pounds and unload some dakka in their face. If you're trying to play MP like SP, then you're probably going to get owned. You do get the ability to copy your killer's class, so if you think the jump pack + thunderhammer is cheap, grab it, see for yourself and go on a tear. You can do this from level 1, so use it.

MP improvements:
MORE GAMEMODES! I want to blow stuff up, so give me a Rush/Demolition-type mode. A free-for-all would be kinda good too. The Dreadnought idea seems like it could be fun and makes me think of the Monster-mode from UT.

Make getting into a lobby way faster, it takes far too long right now.

Minor weapon balancing. The bolter needs to be a little better. You can kill someone in a single mag, but it takes that whole mag. All it needs is a little buff.

The between game lobbies are 60 long, but the customizer takes 15 seconds to load. This makes it hard to change perks between games as you don't have a lot of time. Either makes the customizer load faster, or have the lobbies be longer. I prefer the former option.
