A controller that doesn't require to turn your wrist to an unnatural position to point it at the screen.

For Nintendo to abandon the Wii and to either make a console from the good old day's of the 64 and gamecube or just to make games for other consoles.
100% agree with ya. The game cube was a fantastic cosole, the problem was the selection of games as they always seem to try to be 'Different' the reason why the good games that come out on both Ps3 and 360 don't work with the wii is cause it uses the motion shite and they made the wii realy small so its graphical abilities were limited, dispite it saying Ati on the side. The good games from Ps2 and the original Xbox didn't come out for the game cube becuase they used mini disks and the good games required full sized ones. And from the came cube back, all of their consoles were carterage based. So what Nintendo need to do is: either become a games developer for Sony and microsoft ( a bit like sega) or make there games consoles compatible with the main streem gaming Sony and Microsoft meet so perfectaly. Yes the PS3 was was too expensive when it first came out but its still a realy good console.

So Nintendo. Either grow up with your fan base or stop turning good ideas into bad reality. Yes The Wii was said to 'Revolutionise' game play. But it hasn't, its just a laptop that requires you to purchuse each key for the keyboard seperetaly from about 50 shops, infact I believe that the new On-live thing is gonna be the next thing to 'Revolutionise' game play. Just as the Cd-rom was... oh hand on nintendo... your the last company to being useing disks, and just as blue-ray come out. KEEP UP NINTENDO!

That's never gonna happen, if your lucky, wii 2 will have 360/ps3 quality graphics, but at that point, xbox 720 and ps4 will make it look bad.

I really dunno what I want from Nintendo anymore. I don't like the motion-sensing controller, but if they abandoned it there'd be nothing unique about them. I think what I'd REALLY like to see, is them making Metroid and Zelda games for the 360. Yeah, I said it.

(I realise that is never going to happen)
Wow. My whole world has been turned inside out with that idea :)
Honestly though, that would be sick

Games that don't make you use motion controls for the sake of making you use motion controls. The DS could do with the same thing for the touch screen.

I gotta be honest with you mate, I don't know if the Wii can stand alone on it's merits for a newer version (the hype advertising and marketing, now thats a totally different story). I never really had that much fun with the motion-sensing games, most of the times the motion-sense was so bad it was frustrating and I don't believe the technology currently exists for accurate use of the element. I'd really much rather use a traditional controller then a Wii-mote.

If it were up to me, I'd chalk this up as a much more successful and practical version of the Nintendo Virtualboy: a really cool experiment and a reminder that Nintendo is still innovative and maintains a good standard of creative genius, but the technology just wasn't there for utterly practical implication. I'd like to see Nintendo go back to a traditional controller format for a system lifespan, then maybe do it again, except better, when the technology is there for it.

Also wouldn't mind a graphics upgrade and something new along the lines of F-Zero and Star Fox (only in ships/tanks mind you though) that is non-SSB related.

And better online.

They're already releasing the Wii Motion Plus. I'll be satisfied with whatever they have for a while now.

Really, it's way too early for another Wii in any case. Sony's finding that out the hard way with their own console, aren't they?

Just don't say it on a ZP forum, trust me I know.

More accurate motion sensing, more games that aren't entirely mini-games, more M rated games. I want to chop heads in half.
Healthy. You know the second that happens, Fox news will crap themselves and make sure no parent ever buys a Wii again.

FANBOY ANSWER:
With the way the US economy is affecting companies everywhere, I'd like to see Nintendo to at least attempt their next console in a partnership with someone else that can reinforce their usually slow game library. If it gets worse out there, a partner being able to carry half the burden would be welcome... and if the economy gets better, it's still more money for them.

With that statement (and having discussed this with a few friends previously), I'd like say that Sega would be the best candidate. The downside: everyone will disagree with me. (Har har!)

I'm not a fan-tard anymore. Haven't been for a long, long time. The last machine I felt that way about was the Dreamcast. Say what you will, but if I was ever quick to jump up in useless fan-tard defense of a console, it was for that little overheating white box of awesome. But I digress.

I think it makes a prominent statement that two big names like Sega and Nintendo could not only co-develop games together, but in fact create a console together. At best Sega would only be half-responsible financially. And they'll lose their ability to develop for multiple platforms... but it's a guaranteed monster of a game library... as long as Nintendo runs quality control and there's no more questionable remakes of past Sega franchises (Altered Beast, Golden Axe, etc). At least resources wouldn't be spread so thin. Perhaps Sonic Team could finally make a good 3D Sonic game at that point.

OBJECTIVE ANSWER:
For this answer, my above rambling is wholly inconsequential in the reality of things as they are. Generally there's a lot of honor and arrogance at stake in the Japanese business world and they are not as quick to jump to such notions as Westerners are.

If Nintendo reuses their motion controls on the next console, either they better come more responsive out of the box, or enable a regular controller option for all games. I do enjoy my Wii, but there are some games that the motion controls become either frustrating or really unnecessary; to the point where I just want to put the Wii Remote down and pick up a Gamecube controller... ... AND I CAN'T! >_<

me personallly would love to see more buttons on the controller and more accraute motion sensing
and a better online is a no brainer and graphics should be a huge improvement .

thats really about it.

anything you'd like to see in the next Wii ?
What you just described is in fact the best bits of Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii combined.

But yes, that would be fantastic.

I know that, but since we're talking about what we want it to be like, I'm going to shoot for the freaking moon.

Normally, I try to stay out of topics like these, as they're usually full of blind hatred for Nintendo and reading said hatred makes me depressed, but this post...I can't resist anymore.

The Gamecube was not fantastic, or at least not better than the Wii. It had no online support (save for Phantasy Star Online), and the third party support was awful. Yeah, it had some great games on it (WindWaker, Metroid Prime 1 & 2, Resident Evil 4), but they were few and far inbetween. In fact, the Gamecube's poor sales in comparison to the PS2 and Xbox is the major reason why Nintendo is being different with the Wii now. The size of the Wii has nothing to do with the graphical capabilities. The Wii is perfectly capable of making games that look good (see: MadWorld, Super Mario Galaxy), and developers are finally starting to realize this. Smaller disc size was not the reason why most good games on the PS2 and Xbox (which ones are you thinking of, anyway?) didn't make it onto the Gamecube. Nintendo is never going to become a third-party developer like Sega. Even when they were getting destroyed by the competition, they were always able to turn a profit. Do you honestly think they're just going to stop making consoles and work for Sony or Microsoft when they're making such a large profit off both the DS and Wii? This is also why they're taking the whole "casual" approach with their system; it's a financial success, no matter how many jaded forum-goers and kids who think they're too masculine for their own age say it sucks.

I'm probably going to regret making this post after awhile, but it's out there now. I really hope Nintendo's E3 Press Conference goes over well, so most of this ill-informed bashing can stop.

More games for all different age groups. All we ever seem to get is big clusters of either E or M rated games at a time instead of both. I want to see a hard drive, some HD graphics and bluray compatibility (I'm not a graphics whore, I'd mostly want it so we can get bigger games). I want to see Nintendo focus on proper first party games instead of games like Wii Music, Link's Crossbow Training and the Mario sport games. I'd like to see some revivals of old games (yes, I do know about Punch Out). Finally, I'd like to see a regular controller. I don't hate the Wii remote but the it just doesn't work for some types of games (the one that annoys me the most is FPS's).

EDIT: I forgot about online. Scrap the friend codes and focus on making it better. MUCH better.
