I'm sorry, but are the console-only gamers in this thread really that biased? If you can't acknowledge the fact that TF2 is an objectively superior experience on PC, you're really calling into question your ability to give meaningful opinions regarding anything.

At present, I don't have a gaming PC. I'm playing exclusively on consoles. TF2 on PC isn't an option for me. That doesn't stop me from recognizing that it is the vastly superior version.

I think the stubborn, mindless arguments brought by the console-only gamers are just another form of the "Sony vs MS" console war; people will defend what they have, versus what they don't, to their intellectual deaths.

PC-only gamers, while occasionally quite full of themselves, are at least honest about the shortcomings of their preferred platform. You don't catch them talking up Madden or Street Fighter for Windows/Mac because those games are better played on a console.

It helps, I suppose, that the people who game on PC tend to prefer the genres handled best by PC. They're not playing "console games", so they could care less if those games suck on their "system".

get it for all the reasons except TF2. TF2 is better played on the PC since the 360/ps3 hasn't updated anything, and the PC has a ton of new things added to it like new melee weapons, maps, ect. Sooo YES get it NOW!!

Oh btw about a week or so ago, a rental store was going out of business and it was the last day before the store closed. Well everything was like 90% off and you could by like 20 movies for $15. Well as for the games, my brother and I bought the Orange Box for only $1.29!

If you can buy portal on it's own you'll be much happier and you'll save money. Half Life 2 (And episodes) is less a game, and more a teaching tool on the depths people's opinions will sink to. You will leave depressed, then you will be confused, then angry, and then you will accept that it's basically the PC gaming equivalent of Twilight and there's no reasoning with it's fanbase aboot it.
That's 4 out of 5 games, what about the fifth? TF2?

OT: Don't get it for PS3. Even if you have to pay an extra £5, buy it on PC so that you can play TF2 properly [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/view/The-Escapist-Team-Fortress-2-Group-PC]
Actually I didn't even mention two whole games. Portal was intended to be a demo, but people didn't care. Half Life 2 (And eps) aren't even a full game. When ep 3 comes out they will finish Half Life 2. That's right, there are barely even two games in the Orange box that claims to have five.
TF2 is meh. I've played better, I've played worse. It got progressively worse with every class update.

For the record, I own the PS3 version, universally recognized as the crappiest one (got it for dirt cheap as well). It's perfectly bearable bar a couple of fights where the frames/sec take a noticeble dive. I don't play Team Fortress though, so can't comment.

Sure, the PC version is better if you don't mind spending more. But if you do, at this price the PS3 version its still a good buy.

The Elitists got here faster than I anticipated...
Just get it, fine on PS3.
For $15 (or is that the Euro mark? I don't have my glasses on), it's great on any console.

Although it's better on the PC, at least TF2 is.

Get it. It's five games (Three of which are less than 5 hours long, but it'l still a great deal!) for roughly $20. You can't beat that with a stick.

It is a good deal but think of the box that will come out when HalfLife 3 gets out.
You might get portal 1&2 plus all the Half Life games. (They just might, re-release the old stuff like opposing force in one super box)

Well if you don't have a pc that can run it, then sure, go ahead and get it on Ps3. It's still an amazing deal.

Still though, the magnificence of tf2 for the pc cannot be understated. I've about 1000 hours logged in that game.

Get it on the PS3. I've played it on the 360, PS3 and PC, and they all seemed
EXACTLY
THE
FREAKING
SAME.
Nah,(for TF2) PC gets balance updates, new items at a steady pace, different promotional activities, offline training for new guys, bots, etc.
True, I agree with you there, TF2 is better on PC, but Portal and Half Life seemed the same to me.

I bought it on ps3 for £15 pre owned, didnt have any issues with the game, in fact the only reason I traded it in for something else is that I got bored of the main game
