I think the opposite, I fucking hate the PS3 interface, it's so damn complicated and nearly impossible to find somple functions. I swear it took me weeks just to fucking find how to delete messages from my inbox. Also I never found out how to remove my PSN email and User name so yeah.

As for games though I think both systems are on par with each other.

It's sad because you needed a guide to delete a message. Pressing triangle while the message or message box was highlighted would have revealed a menu with the option to delete an individual message or delete all your messages. Did you seriously just hit a couple of buttons, then go straight to the internet and flame?

The Triangle Buttons function by the way is described on page TWO of the Quick Referance Guide. I apologize on behalf of Sony for not listing every single function this provides, it was a bit of an extensive list, they assumed you were capable of learning. Like humans do.

Can I say it always looked good to me without sounding fanboyish? Well it did, I saw alot of potential in it and despite Sonys pathetic marketing strategies and Home, I've always trusted their hardware.

This Christmas was awesome for PS3 too, I honestly thought thats what this thread was going to be about. Glad you're enjoying the XMB though, whatever floats you boat XD

It's obvious that the PS3 is a superior piece of technology, I'm just willing to give up God of War and Heavy Rain for Xbox exclusive titles.

Besides, Xbox is simpler for my thinker box.

Besides, Playstation Network's marketplace is a total shitfest, and trying to find something is like bobbing for apples in a horribly designed tub.

I don't own an Xbox/360, I do own a PS3, and I have played a 360 many times before (friends' houses). Frankly, I hate the 360 controller, it feels horrible and clunky, Xbox Live isn't free when online gaming for PS3 is, the PS3 plays blu-ray (I don't think the 360 does but correct me if I'm wrong) and IMO the graphics are better on the PS3, though that might just be me seeing it through fan-boy coloured glasses.

I never said I looked online to delete a message, I looked online to try and delete the saved email address for my PSN account and delete the only user account on there.

And I don't understand why you are trying to make me look foolish when it's already absurd to have to press a seperate button just to bring up extra options.

From the beginning I just expressed that I hated the PS3 interface because finding out most of the functions without referring to a manual was difficult. Just because it sounded aggressive didn't mean I was flaming.

I've had a ps3 since its very beginning and it still worked perfectly up until a few weeks ago when i got a slim. now its superspeedhax ps3 and i got playtv with it so i dont need a teevo or whatever. from a games point of view, the ps3 started out pretty weak and thats why everyone has an xbox but in 2010 you are gonna be disadvantaged cos the ps3 gets epic exclusives like god of war 3 and pretty much anything on the 360 is multi-platform (even modern warfare 2 is on ps3). so if you're lookin to buy a ps3, now is the time.

I have a PC, xbox 360, PS3 and wii (obtained in that order) and, other than the PC the PS3 is the best value console. It can record and watch tv, functions online (more than I can say of my xbox, pay extra for wireless and an expensive ongoing subscription fee...pass), watch webtv etc. They have come a long way since being bloated and pointless on release (yes fanboys, I'm sorry but I stand by it, $1000 for a bluray player that can play a handful of games isn't good value).

The only real benifets of the xbox are the controllers (the dual shock controllers are pretty crappy, they were good when I had nimble 12 year olds hands but not so much now) and the decent upscaling (games tend to be upscaled to 1080p, and it actually looks good /shock). Otherwise, I prefer PS3 to xbox 360 in every regard, I actually have more PS3 games despite the console being some 2 years newer than my xbox. I feel I really should mention the online stores, not having to deal with those retarded microsoft points is a huge plus.

I'm a patron of Sony. She did better for me than the Nintendo 64, better for me than the Xbox, and I look forward to coming into the present tense when I finally pony up the cash for a PS3. The 360 just doesn't appeal to me.

All in all, both consoles have the games I want. But since they're pretty even on MSRP these days, and online service is free and improving on PSN, I'll have to go with that one.

Well its true that PS3 be around for years to come and the 360 is almost done with its cycle that just means that the new xbox720 (or whatever it calls itself) will be out for years before the PS4 comes out. Basically by the time good games can be made cheaply for the PS3 the next xbox will be out. Too think about it xbox1080 and 1440 be out by the time of PS5 comes out.

I have owned a PS3/360 and frankly I do like the 360 better. Both systems are great in their own ways, but I feel anything that comes out for the PS3, I can just get for the 360/PC. The only game for me that makes the PS3 worth is any new Kingdom Hearts game, otherwise it really all is the same to me. I guess it just comes down to preference of games. I don't get how you compare Vista to the new dashboard...ones an OS and ones just well a dashboard.

I could do without the avatars and whatnot, but Xbox live is still where the best online gaming is for consoles. Plus, the Xbox 360's controller is, in my opinion, the best one ever designed.

Unless you need a working D-Pad, in which case there is massive room for improvement.

i definatly agree. the fanboy argument is verry much like trying to justify why your favourite colour is superrior to everyone elses because honestly thats what is good about them they are designed to cater the needs of different kinds of people like for example the ps3s xmb is a litle bit more complicated but has more functions and is more custimisable almost like linux where as the 360s screen thing is more symplified and arguably more apeiling. and although xbl is beter psn users are given to be smarter and can bridge the gaps missing if they care enough and in most cases psn users have a more select group of freinds rather then a large quantity so the management systems are different for the different kinds of people they were designed to cater too also the price on the ps3 is higher not only for the reason of significantly beter hardware but although the buyers of that console may not be fanboys they do care enough for its added functions compared to the 360 thats why the owners pay extra. so when it comes down to it what kind of person are you and then if your are that frat boy who spends most of he's time playing split screen with hes frends rather then doing he's home work then ofcourse you would recceive more enjoyment out of the 360 rather then the ps3. and if you are able to handle a steeper learning curve and are a wise selecter of freinds then you probably would enhoy the ps3. its realy al about finding out whats right for you and thats why the fanboy war thing is completly opinionated and pointless. this point can even extend out to wii owners as in you would receive the most enjoyment out of the wii if you were mentaly retarded and you were 6 years old and cant stop drinking lead paint and your terettes syndrom makes you want to randomly dlail your arms about like you just dont care.
