I'm PS3 all the way. I've only played XBOX a few times. And comparing MW2 on both systems I really didn't see a difference on graphics. But the XBOX controller is extremely awkward. And when it comes down to it. PS3 is and always was cheaper:
PS3 60 gig on first release $600 which now you can get better then that for $300
XBOX on first release $400, what their prices are now no idea. Not following anymore.
BUT..... bluray player and WIFI already built in. XBOX you had to buy them sepearately and HD-DVD is no more now. And as previous stated PS3 online is free. The exclusive games are so much better on PS3, LittleBigPlanet, Uncharted 1&2, Metal Gear Solid 4, inFamous, the upcoming God of War III. I really don't feel any loss not having Halo or Gears of War. Plus their crash rate is quite amazing.
Wow... just spouting off a bunch of crap when you're not even familiar with the competition... goes to show how much your opinion is worth.
In the beginning, 360 was cheaper than PS3 by a mile. PS3 has fixed that, but they're still losing their shirts with every unit sold.
Yes, you have to pay for LIVE, but it's miles ahead of PSN in terms of connectivity, support and community. You get what you pay for. Also, Wi-Fi on both systems sucks... this has been known for a while now. I know of a few PS3 owners who have no problems with their Wi-Fi, but seriously, if you're going to game online get a fucking cable.
Blu-ray is still squarely in PS3's court, but the individual blu-ray players are so cheap now this point is kind of moot. Sure it'll cost you more to get 360 and Blu-Ray vs a PS3, but at least that way you get two lasers, extending the life of each system.
I won't even get into the games, but if you think that Halo and Gears are the only good 360 exclusives you're just ignorant.
Yes, the PS3 is a more reliable and better console hardware-wise. However, I've never had to pay for a repair to my 360 and I've always gotten it back within a week of sending it off.
