Seriously? for me that is one of the most uplifting songs.
The song is about unreachable dreams and desires, I find it sad rather than happy :/
But dude, ukulele. I understand if the Judy Garland version gets you, but the Israel Kamakawiwo'ole (great name btw) version is a medley with "What a wonderful world" an if that song is making you sad, i think you need a cuddle or something.

They are amazing. I have so many great indie bands to reccomend if you're interested. Drs. Dagless and Sanchez would probably be interested as well. ;)

someone's gonna put up 'Vermillion pt. II' by slipknot.
Vermillion is worse in my opinion. It reminds me so much of my first girlfriend

Not the saddest song, but one of them: The Band - It Makes No Difference. Preferably the performance from The Last Waltz. His voice is so heart wrenching, seriously.

More because I love sad songs:
Pink Floyd - Nobody Home
Pink Floyd - One of My Turns
The Rolling Stones - Love in Vain
Black Sabbath - Solitude
Rilo Kiley - A Man/Me/Then Jim
Gilbert O'Sullivan - Alone Again, Naturally
Jimi Hendrix - Castles Made of Sand
David Bowie - Conversation Piece

Haha I might need that cuddle :(

I find what a wonderful world slightly sad as well, but I think I blame Michael Moore for making me connect it with sad imagery in one of his movies. Somewhere over the rainbow has always seemed sad to me, even as a kid, and I think the jolly ukulele is overshadowed by israels haunting OOOOooooOOOOO, OHhhhhOOOooHHHH, MMMmmmmMMMMM's.

I think no matter how many cuddles I get I'll still find it an emotional song, it's rooted in my childhood!

"dance with the devil" and "you never know" both by immortal technique.
Ya man, "Dance With the Devil" is intense. I remember the first time I heard that song, it made my jaw drop.
Also, believe it or not, Faces in the Hall by Gym Class Heroes.
And finally, Neverender by Coheed and Cambria.
