Looks like we're losing both. There's rumors (read: RUMORS) that Phelous and Lupa are going to exit the site as well, and Spoony's already gone.

Not to sound like a jerk, but, in my opinion, if those rumors are true...nothing of value was lost. Other than, perhaps, the inevitable NC/Phelous Child's Play 3 review.

hmm... ya know at this point I have to question why we're all interested in this. Is it for truth or for petty entertainment?

I'm in it for the truth. I'm not getting any pleasure out of the fighting. It's like during the clusterscrew that was Extra Credits breaking off from the Escapist, I ended up figuring out most of what the heck was going on via a lot of research and head-desking.

I do admit that I get a kick out of finding the right answer, but not the journey there.

Oh come now, the journey is half the fun.

Extra Credits vs. Escapist wasn't "fun".

Lupa vs. Spoony. vs. LordKat vs. Holly vs. Phelous vs. everyone who isn't JesuOtaku isn't fun either, it's depressing and crappy.

Sometimes, you don't do something because it's fun, you do it for what you get at the end.

The situations are indeed shitty, but the investigating is satisfying. For me at least.

Spoony never has had a consistent schedule for his videos, he goes fucking crazy at the drop of a hat on twitter, and he's apparently incapable of responding to any input of any kind without coming off as an egotistical twat. What the fuck is with people blaming Lupa for this? The guy needs serious help. Also, getting your entire site banned from press events for going apeshit at a presentation is a valid reason to get fired.

Because Lupa got sick of the aforementioned and seems to have dredged up a month old problem in the hopes of triggering an episode getting rid of him. Then the outburst she caused due her getting fed up with him caused a glorious cascade of everyone else getting fed up with him too. The resulting shit-storm can be seen for e-miles.

Gone. Horribly. Right.

It's a dick-move, but it's hard for me to curse her out for it because that's probably what I'd do if someone's asshatery had been rubbing me and my friends the wrong way for years and I decided I'd had enough.

That said if I did I would be joining Linkara in trying to calm everyone down, so I'm just mostly a horrible person

EDIT: I also don't really care if Lupa ends up leaving too, I like her okay in cross-overs because she's reviewing something I care about, from someone else's script. But her chosen field and style I don't really care for.

Well I care in so much as the community will probably never recover and this is all terrible. But personally I won't feel it.

I'm not a fan, I mainly go for Nostalgia chicks videos which I find the most entertaining/interesting

I don't mind Nostalgia Critic but I feel his reviews have been kind of dull as of late, more "sumarize" joke.."sumarize" joke..mug at the camera....

I also really like Todd in the shadows and Oancitazen even though he talks about stuff that doesnt interest me he's very enjoyable to watch

Fair enough. My sister has the same complaint about Film Brain. Though not that strongly.

And for my part, usually when I want less deadpan humor on there, I turn to Nash. That's the funny type of raging humor.

Also yes, Film Brain is incredibly annoying, but he sort of fills a niche. I'll still throw his stuff on in the background if he's talking about a movie I'm aware of.
