Well you see, for the Critic himself, and for some of the more popular contributors, TGWTG is a major, if not their sole source of income, it's a business for them. They use the ad revenue from their videos (first through Blip, now through Springboard) and that of the site itself to pay their bills. So if someone starts making a stink on Twitter or anywhere else in a way that could backfire on the entire bundle of TGWTG/Channel Awesome content makers, then it's in their best interest to publicly distance themselves from him for the sake of maintaining said ad revenue.

That much I get, but was there a huge fan divide asking for him to be kicked off the sit?

And yeah I know that their entrepreneurs in this thing, its the reason I'm fans of them, but still it doesn't sit right with me. I can't explain it in an logical fashion....

From what I'm gathering from LordKat's Twitter feed, his relationship with Spoony has always been somewhat begrudging. After he lost his interview at E3 because of him he just lost his shit and started ripping into him.

I think it was a wise decision, Spoony was a complete jerk to his fanbase for almost nothing. Hopefully one day he'll stop using twitter as a way to vent his personal frustration and go get some professional help.

And for the love of God stop whining about Scarlet. It was over a year ago, move on with your life.

Not to be rude or anything, but sometimes getting over it is not that simple. I was with a girl for 11 years and it took me about 3 to fully get over the feeling of betrayal that the break up caused within me. It did not help that my ex still thought she could control my life like she and telling me when proper grieving time passed. It also did not help that she already had another pony she was riding during our last year together. Her mom still has not forgiven her for that.

Considering how long Spoony and Scarlet were together, it may take a little time to get over that. What helps more than the medication is the counseling. He needs a professional that is emotionally detached from everyone involved. It helped me and others just like me.

1)The getting suspended part is not entirely clear, but it might be from the rape joke he made towards JO.....or not. Its never been entirely clear, and as someone who is not a part of the inner workings of TGWTG, I will probably never know.

Yeah, REALLY having trouble blaming them for being concerned about this. A lot of us make vids as a hobby. A good chunk of them are doing it as, at least in part, a living.

Unless I'm mistaken this all seems to come from something that happened MONTHS ago which Lupa only NOW seems to have a problem with. That by it self speaks volumes to me, but the fact this apparently came out of the blue after some unknown hullabaloo at E3 says to me this is more of a personal thing with Lupa and Spoony and everyone else is in the middle.

I don't think it's anything noble on either side but clearly this is something that was stirred up SPECIFICALLY to have the effect of getting Spoony either fired or suspended, and it worked, and the only question is why?
