I view this as very good news. Spoony is best served raw and unrestrained. That Guy With the Glasses was just a big censorship albatross chained around Noah's neck.

Don't really know what you're talking about...the only thing TGWTG censors in its videos is nudity. Most everything else is fair game. :/

Besides which, despite all this mess I think the bigger issue is Antwiler's mental state right now. If he's just blowing off steam, fair enough, but he's previously being diagnosed with depression, and really it shows. Just compare some of his more recent videos with some from a couple of years ago. He looks haggard, worn down. He's still more than capable of dishing out the rage and laughs, but...I don't know, he doesn't look healthy.

He -says- he wants to keep making vids, because it's what he enjoys doing...but I wonder if he should just take a break for a while, take a vacation, maybe see a counsellor. IT just doesn't seem right for his fans to be egging him on, like everything is hunky dory dandy, "now get back to making us videos dammmit!" etc.

It's all very sad.

I did notice something seemed to be up...Thing is, as far as I know, TGWTG.com has a certain contracted way of working, as to keep a constant stream of new content. This means that spoony would have to keep producing videos on a regular basis, even with such problems. I can imagine that there was probably far more problems before now, and as TGWTG isn't exactly the evil empire, he was given some time, but it eventually proved to not be enough.

Maybe in the future we might see him back on there, but I think it's best he be given as much time to recover as possible, and with such a thing as depression, that may be quite some time. Good luck to him, anyhow.

Not to mention he was the Black Ranger during Dino Thunder.

The reason Rangers switch colors is because the series were adapted from different Sentai. Green and Black are probably the most interchangeable colors though.

Honestly, I hate this whole situation. A lot of people have dived completely off the deepend regarding a dude who has had an awful 2 years. There has been a VERY noticeable change in Spoony's demeanor since he broke up with his ex. Two years ago, his review of New Moon was upbeat, and actually really upbeat and funny. Looking at his review of Breaking Dawn part 1, I see a very sad man drowning his sorrows in booze, who has to have friends intervene so he doesn't make a complete fool of himself in a public forum. From what I can tell, Spoony is getting worse.

At 6:30-6:32, "When you factor in other things, like Miles being forced to kill a person..." Wait, what? I have not heard of that. I know Miles is a cop, but damn. Having your brother be forced to kill another person could screw anyone up, on top of Scarlett breaking up with him, and the fan sending him goodbye emails before killing himself (both of which I knew of, and the latter being the reason Spoony has stopped making suicide jokes, as he now finds them tasteless and unfunny). Having all that happen in the space of two years...that could screw anyone up.

Lupa has now lost my sympathy for her point of view. Defending a friend is all well and good, but basically acting like Spoony just needs to grow up while acting like he's just blowing up the crap in his life out of proportion is showing a serious lack of empathy.

I've always enjoyed SpoonyOnes Vlogs about movies he has just watched but i can hardly call myself a fan of his and god knows i have no idea about his personal life. It is pretty sad that there's this big fight over at Channel Awesome... there are a lot of people there whos work i genuinely like. Never watched any of Lupas stuff though. Regardless, Spoonies joke about JO was a bit dark, maybe even tasteless but if JO herself didn't feel offendet Lupa shouldn't be the one to judge him for it. I mean, sure, i doubt that the disagreement between them is only about that one joke but it's all we know about. It's nice to see that most CA contributors stay neutral about this whole thing, starting a war over this would just make them look bad. I don't watch Linkara all that often (i just can't stand his voice) but he seems to be a pretty good guy. Can't say anything about Spoonies mental state. If he suffers from depression i hope he gets help. If he's not over his ex-girlfriend... well, i wish him good luck with that but i'm not going to take anyone side. Somethimes there's disagreement between people and if they're famous it's not suprising that fans will come to their own conclusions but i really don't know (and, to be honest, care) enough about this whole thing to get invested in it.

All right, I admit I only got about halfway through page 4 on this forum, so maybe this was addressed already...

As far as I've seen or heard, Lordkat never told Spoony to kill himself.

His twitter feed was... vitriolic toward the guy. For that matter, so was every single second of that rant on his Stream. (http://www.twitch.tv/lordkat/b/322255491) The guy clearly has issues with Spoony. And for what it's worth, I actually get that. From the sounds of it, Spoony's behavior had apparently caused the guy a lot of grief. And whether he's being hyperbolic or not, he at least cited a lot of extremely specific stuff.

Anyway, he actively stated that he didn't hope Spoony would hurt himself or anything. The closest he ever came was saying that if he were a fan that was treated as badly as some of Spoony's fans, he would've probably responded with a sentiment along the lines of "kill yourself." For the most part, true or not, his rant seemed more specifically focused on calling Spoony a hypocrite, a phony, and a "pussy." Which, agree or not, he did have some points to be made. In a rambling, bile-filled way. This probably cost LordKat his relationship with CA anyway, since he just loudly declared why he left.

I personally liked Spoony's stuff. Dude had good comic timing and while his acting was certainly a bit "public access" level, it was appropriate for what he was doing. I honestly never followed him much on twitter, so I was completely unaware of any of the things happening here. His videos seemed a bit, well, furious at times, but the guy always seemed to be playing a persona. I guess one never really knows.

For what it's worth, I hope the guy gets his act together. But I think he's on a downward spiral, and he may really have to hit rock bottom before he can start to pick up the pieces. Wow, that was like three idioms in one sentence.

To be honest I had to wait for the smoke to clear to choose a "side". I'm with Spoony mostly because I know depression. It runs deep in my family on both parental sides. His reaction, the things that have happened etc. It just seems like Lupa is being a ***** over something that shouldn't have been an issue. He's Noah, he does what Noah does, I don't always agree with him myself but I don't go trying to ruin him over it.

I also hope this doesn't happen as his crossovers with Linkara are some of the best vids on the site.
