Everclear for me, too. Although if anyone out there hasn't tried it, MIX IT. A shot of Everclear burns like hell and makes you feel sick for a while. It's bad news bears.

A friend of my dads brewed up pure (or as close to, including natural water retention) alcohol a while back. It's really bizarre stuff, you dip a spoon in to it, shake it off then stick it in your mouth and WHAM! The only way I can describe it is as if all the pores on your face and neck are opening to their maximum at once.

He did it because alcohol in its purest form is flavorless so we would take a spoonful and chuck it in juice or punch etc. Suddenly you've got an alcohol that tastes exactly like OJ, or coke or what evs.

Absinthe. I downed a few shots' worth once. I was so fucked up after that it was unbelievable. I wasn't actually aware that it was absinthe until I started drinking (my friends are dicks) so I couldn't say how strong it was...relative to absinthe in general.

Here's a pro-tip. The only time I ever really got messed up bad was taking a full 16 glass of 151, after forgetting about the Sudafed I took (I was really sick), and I whole-heartedly suggest you avoid doing that.

Ah poteen, never had the privilage of trying it.

with a relatively small distillation tower you can purify alcohol to over 98%, only like man height or a little taller.

You can't get over 95-96%
At that purity alcohol is a gas.

don't know where ur info comes from, but mine comes from a chemical engineer who has worked with distillation towers for over 20 years.

Jaysus.... the smell alone would put me dizzy

I must remember to try it before I die.... but not yet!
Myself and my dad were sanding a cabinet, ran out of methylated spirits to wipe it down before re-varnishing it...

So we continued wiping it down with poteen... I was rather light headed after that, I can tell you!

Strongest I've had is absinthe.
Best I've had would be either the 20 year old Bushmills or the 20 year old Jameson. Both absolutely wonderful....

At least, I think they were... I was pretty drunk at the time...
